  • A young aspiring actor from upcountry Kenya dreams of becoming a success in the big city. In pursuit of this and to the chagrin of his brother and parents, he makes his way to Nairobi: the city of opportunity. He quickly understands why Nairobi is nicknamed Nairobbery as he is robbed of all his money and belongings and left alone in a city where he doesn’t know a soul. Luck, or the lack of it, brings him face to face with two groups of downtown crooks and he forms a friendship with a young small time gang leader who takes him in.
Drawn into a new world of theft and violence, he still tries to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. Keeping the two worlds seperate proves to be a contest for him as he struggles to survive in this unknown world called Nairobi.

The storyline, the setting, the structure of the movie, and how great Africans are. In kibra, Luthuli down town, gikomba, majengo, gaza, downtown kafico center has been renamed and renovated. Thugs stealing and selling in the black market, corrupt police, daily killings, impunity, etc. Well done guys. The nostalgia is great.

Africa is much more diverse than I thought. I feel for Africans because it's very difficult to progress in life due to lack of job opportunities and corruption ( we also have those problems in Australia). I admire their strength and positive outlook on life, it's a reminder for everybody. We all have a choice to be better to those around us and treat everybody with respect. A lesson for humanity.

Awesome mobie with the right content life is a blend of good and bad we go through challenges daily in search of life we dream of this film brings me back home to youth relating to me in every way, awesome job by the cast and crew and the script was direct to the point. Discovering these african films on CZcams is a joy for me because western films are all commercial no valued content in my opinion. Thanks for the good watch and keep it up.🇯🇲🇸🇳
