The winch is a cheap $20.00 , 500lb winch I found on ebay. I had to drill one hole in it to mount to the mill. Very Simple. I'll be creating a video about it, as others have asked how to do this. Notice the crank is much shorter. I removed about 2 inches off the length as the torque to turn it is very low. I can still almost spin it with 1 finger to pull the mill thru the log. I installed about 80ft of parachute chord on the reel.

What chain are you running on the 090

Its a customized .404 x .063 Semi-chisel chain. Every other cutter tooth has the top plate ground off. The extra side plates can clear all the chips better, out of a very large diameter log. With this 6ft bar, there are something like 240 drive links.

009to090 wow that's a long chain. Yeah I'm running the same thing with some of the top plates ground off as well. What filing angles do you use on the teeth? 0 degrees on the regular cutters and 20 degrees on the "scoring" cutters? Granberg style

    Are you using a 660 or 880?
