    • @CandleRomance
      @CandleRomance Před 3 lety +1

      the cold and hot throw for both were basically the same. I'm not happy working with 464 soy wax. I'm going to focus into finding another kind of wax to keep testing. I'm really enjoying IGI6006 much better results and way more CT and HT than 464.

      Those are drinking glasses I found at Ikea, they also have them at the dollar store. You can use any kind of drinking glass as long as the glass is thick and can withstand heat.

    • @CandleRomance

      I use an app for my iPhone called Wax Calculator. I don't know if it comes in Android.

    • @dannilikesreviews
      @dannilikesreviews Před 3 lety

      It’s a really easy calculation...
      Decide what percentage of fragrance load you are using- waxes are all different as to the max load then multiply that by your wax weight.
      Ex: 16 (oz) x 6%= .96 This would be your amount of fragrance. I would just put in an oz. I just do it on my phone calculator.

    • @CandleRomance
      @CandleRomance Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Maro, I'm not familiar with eco wax, I believe there's waxes specifically made for tarts, some people use a wax called Pillar of Bliss, because it's harder wax.

    Hello. I made candles from palm wax and to 500 g of melted wax I added 25 g of perfume but it smells very strong. How much perfume should I add to not have such a strong smell? Thank you very much!

    • @CandleRomance
      @CandleRomance Před 3 lety

      It all depends on how much fragrance oil load your wax can hold, I usually do 10% FO, I use PB600 (A paraffin/soy blend) that's what the manufacturer of my wax recommends. If I want less stronger scent, then I need to test adding less, and see how the hot throw is, and keep testing accordingly until you get the scent throw you feel comfortable.

    Wooden Wick fragrances are so amazing. They are pricey but well worth it if you plan to make luxury candles. My other scents just don't compare from other companies. These smell "real" if that makes sense.

    • @CandleRomance
