Yeah defo mate! Watching more laps I can see that you're waiting until you are almost at each corner before making your initial tun in and then putting on too much steering lock and trying to hug each apex. I'd for sure at least try giving this a bash mate... Instead of trying to "hug" each apex all the way round - make sure you use ALL the track available on the outside and then (as a general rule) turn in slightly earlier and with a lot less steering lock and a lot slower and smoother with the initial turn of the wheel. It looks like because you are turning in too late, the amount of steering input needed is scrubbing the fronts tyres and this is causing you understeer which is making you have to turn EVEN MORE and not allowing you to get back on the throttle early enough to get good exits. When the car isn't turning we think that means we have to turn the wheel even more to make it turn. But in this case the car is actually not turning BECAUSE you are turning the wheel too much and with too quick an initial movement. I'd try making sure I was using as much track as possible on the outide and then turning in slightly earlier and with a VERY small and smooth initial movement to get the car leaning on the tyre gently. And then just clipping a smaller amount of each apex instead of trying to hug each apex all the way around. I'm ALMoST positive you'll find that a slower initial turn in will allow the weight to gently lean on the tyre, grip up and avoid so much scrubbing. Slower, smaller input and EARLIER as a general rule 'SHOULD' eliminate any understeer, keep the minimum cornering speed UP, allow you to open the steering earlier and bring faster exit speeds! (PS, Sorry for writing a couple damn books for you here! lolol!) Catch you again dude! 🤐🤣👊

Btw mate, I watched u lapping a classic F1 car at Sebring and u weren’t doing this same thing here. So it may well be the feeling from the the car itself? In the F1 @ Sebring vid you’re turning in earlier and very grandually, so u defo know what you’re doing lol! I’m sure doing the same in this Rd America vid would help? I wasn’t trying to teach, cos like I say I ain’t no pro. But I defo welcome any advice people are willing to give. So if u ever see me doing anything I could improve on then please let me know! Haha! (I need to start uploading again, but still…) Ok, Chow! 👋🏼✌🏼

It depends on the car the Formula car has no understeering. The BMW GT4 race was a fixed setup race mostly this setups are very understeers. My Job needs me big time the last months i hope i can do more simracing in the rest of the year

Yo dude! I've only watched a few laps, I'm no pro and I've never driven iracing, so take this with a pinch of salt lol. It looks to me like you're starting your turn ins slightly late, which in turn is meaning you are then having to put in too much steering lock with too fast a movement. I akways watch my own replays of practice laps or race laps back, because it's a lot easier to see what I'm actually doing with the cars as opposed to what I 'think' I'm doing with the car! In golf they call it "Feels vs reals". What you feel you're doing with your swing ain't always what you're really doing and the same applys for everything, especially racing! I may be wrong, as I say. But it soundds like the tyres are scrubbing too harshly and onl;y for a short time, even in the fast stuff like the downhill right hander in the final sector. It seems to be affecting your exit speeds and losing time to the cars around you, even wihen in their slipstreams. You are more than welcome to completely ignore this and tell me to get to f*"k....lol! But I always welcome advice wherever it comes from. As I say, I've never driven iracing, but I am a decent enough driver where I think I can 'try' to give advice where I see something that stands out to me. But as I say, take it with a pinch of salt haha! Have a nice day dude and you've got a new subscriber!! Happy racing my friend! 😉👊🏁

Thanks for the comment ☺️ the volume from the tire is volume up. You can hear your tireslip and your grip that noise is all iracing drivers are want hear. I have a buttkicker it does the same. The apex in vr is perfectly to see but… I trying also to get better at this. The exits are most important in iracing 🙂

@@beyermobil Yeah, I do the same on AC, ACC & Automobilista! Turn car/engine volume down and max out the tyre volume. Knowing what the tyre is doing is key! I used a buttkicker and now am playing around with the HF8 haptic seat pad. I just think a tiny amount of lock and slightly earlier turn in, looking to make a wider radius with your line and opening the steering a lot earlier. Instead of keeping lock on all the way round the inside apex (especially when leading onto a long stretch) start aiming for the far outside of the track - unwinding that steering lock earlier and using as much run-off as possible will allow you to get on the power earlier! On corners that lead into a long straight Im aiming to get back hard on the power even before the apex, or at the very least early at the apex. (I hope this is not coming across as a put down… 😬 I just think this’ll find you a considerable amount of lap time. And consistently as well!) peace! ✌🏼
