  • This is my new favourite polymer clay cane as it gives such great results, from a simple design. You can then switch the cane slices around to give 3 distinctly different patterns, all of which look great; however you use them. So, sit back, relax, and watch as the process unfolds for you step, by step.

    You’ve used quite sophisticated machinations with the colors. The little additions of the blues and purples into the whites and themselves are fascinating. Then the slight curve that appears in the ticks is so delicate and the pattern is so pleasing, yet bold with the black definition. You’ve worked out amazing details on this cane for us, it seems. TY

    I've never worked with clay. I'm not even sure I actually want to add it as another hobby. But I can say after watching a few of your videos I have found new relaxation videos. Your voice is incredibly soothing and melodic. I'm sure my husband will appreciate me watching your videos to relax to as opposed to ingrown toenail removal or pimple popping 😂

    I love this cane! You are a genius at creating unique, and achievable cane ideas. Then again, you are a brilliant teacher, presenting the technique in an easy to follow format, and breaking it down so that it is doable for all of us. Thank you. We are blessed to have you as our polymer clay guru!

    Oh Fiona I just love your tutorials. Your canes are fabulous. I want to do this one because it wouldn’t matter or I will see it plainly if I flip something the wrong way putting it together lol. Which I have done from a previous tutorial and it took me in forever to figure out why it looked so different compared to yours. I’m also going to pay very close attention in reducing the triangle because my tops can get so tall and so I just resorted to doing square canes. I’ve noticed that you press along the bottom but then you also press up the sides and pull as well. I need to get that part down pat because having a really tall triangle doesn’t work out as well. Thank you so much for sharing another great teaching! 🌟🌟🌟❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰

    • @FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals
      @FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you so much Donna, and yes when I reduce I do concentrate along the bottom edge, pull along the length, then turn and repeat - I do it so automatically now that I don't even realise what Ia m doing half the time ;) I hope your triangles become less troublesome for you :)

      Donna, I totally agree. Fiona is a master cane wrangler. I, too am learning the delicate art of not letting a cane get out of control when reducing, what to do when it does go a little wonky, and finally relaxing and having fun with the process.

    I’m with you, Fiona; this is my new favorite cane, too! (I think _everyone_ loves paradox canes!) I’m having a hard time seeing three different designs; the first and third look the same to me, just with the blue and green reversed. Are they really different? No matter; I can’t wait to tackle it, and what I find most interesting is how it appears to be an entirely different design when you use different colors! I find that fascinating! Thanks sooo much for all the work you do; I appreciate you a lot! 💋

    • @FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals
      @FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks so much :) The difference with this one is normally with a kaleidoscope cane you simply mirror each slice, but with this one, as you say, you can also turn a piece the other way up and then match different colours together ;) yes you are right, the different colours can give a very different look too :)
