Green lights is on the Perception album. Also, something that you missed in Outro and in this song is that the keys are the symbol for the Perception album along with the cage. The whole album is about Nate trying to break out of the cage (his mind) that he's trapped in. He's had the keys this whole time, but now he's finally unlocking the door and leaving. ("I thought you had me in prison this whole time, but I'm the one holding the keys." - Intro III). Also why in the video for The Search, you can see the open cage in the distance, symbolizing how Nate left the cage and is on the search for something bigger and better for his life. We can see the keys and cage hinted at throughout the album. (Outcast, Intro III, Outro, Green Lights. All songs that are on the Perception album that you've reacted too that have the keys and cage symbolized.

Okay then, well in NF's first album under the name NF (yes he's had different stage names before) Mansion, you hear Nate talk about how he's scared to open the door to his Mansion (another symbol for his mind), but we see in Intro II that Nate says, "I left the door open to come in my mansion, but I never said it's a beautiful house." With this being said, NF has finally decided to open his Mansion (mind) to the public, and to take a leap at conquering his fear. But, seeing the energy from the Song Intro II and seeing how the album is called "Therapy Session", we can see how Nate got backlash and needed therapy to cope with him opening up. After all the therapy, he found that in order for him to be happy, he need to shut himself in again and protect the most important parts of his mind. That's why we have songs that he releases that are deep and emotional, they are secrets that he cares about protecting and they aren't his weights or burdens (see where this is going?). The Cage in the Perception album represents the secrets and fears that NF still has that he protects, that's why it's smaller. NF feels the need to try and escape from his cage, to leave the past behind. One of the reasons why the Perception album is named the way it is is because the album is not only Nate looking at issues through a different perspective, but it's named that way for the fans to look at NF and his problems in a new perspective. Although we see that, even though Nate left the cage, he's still not freeing himself yet. He still has his burdens (black balloons) that are slowly weighing him down on his search. After the critics bashed The Search album, we have our lovely song, Paid My Dues, where we see that even though NF is slowly letting go, he still finds himself lost in all the problems with himself and even the problems with the world and people around him. That's why we see the paper at the end of the video that says "LOST" on it. Also another reason why fans theorize that Nate's next album is called "Lost".

Hey, know you put this video out a whole year ago and honestly I've already watched this video but I can't get enough of your videos so I'm watching a bunch again😶. Meant to say this the first time I watched this but I just wanted to let you know the way I saw this video. Now I imagined its meaning in a few different ways in my eyes: throughout the video there's a bunch of confusion and comotion with a lot happening with no real explanation except of course we know the robbers are breaking into his house because they want something. Then at the very end we realize that they were trying to steal the safe, which already surprised us but then we also found out they were trying to steal "the keys" and a notebook with perception written on it. Therefore changing our perception, when we see the word perception, of the video and the words of the song by seeing what was written on the paper😁! See where I'm going with this? That would have also been a really cool way to introduce this to us you know? Another way I thought of it was that the whole video, without us knowing, the robbers were trying to still "the keys" and the notebook with perception on it. Dare I say they were trying to steal his perception😉? Like literally his perception of things and stop him from thinking the way he does? Now that one might sound like a bit of a stretch but it isn't the most far-farteched idea right? Last one, but I also thought this video could have meant that these people perhaps the industry or critics or whomever wants to go against him (bad idea btw) were trying to beat him down, back him up into a corner, and give up his beliefs (could be perceived as perception too), and steal the progress he's been making in life. But of course, nate wasn't down for long! He fought back against them and showed them he wouldn't give them up no matter what. Now any of these things could be combined into a single theory since they're quite similar and nate himself could have already said something about this and I'm just behind on the times since I only just got the internet into my life a few years ago (won't get into that) but this was just my perspective (*cough* and perception) on this video.
