- The international break is over and club football is back! In this episode we travel away to QPR and if we win, we can potentially go top of the league!
Join me on my usual Friday morning spin out on my bike before I travel down to London Colney to see the Watford FC lads and get some final preparation for the big game.
All the usual behind-the-scenes footage at the team hotel, followed by the journey to the stadium to see what the changing rooms and pitch look like!
And of course, GoPro in the goal match footage followed by my post-match reaction!

Peter Schmeichel for me. I modelled my game on him growing up, except I preferred to be a ball playing goalkeeper. My style for one on one's though were based on his handball style! Phenomenal keeper. Of the more modern era Buffon was immense. So many classy goalkeepers about!

Great video Ben. Grew up watching Pat Jennings on TV (not that there was much footy on TV in those days) absolute beast of a GK, biggest hands I've ever seen. Him and my local team GK in the late 70s / early 80s (Willie Carrick) where both a huge influence in me being a GK when I went on to play footy myself.

My favourite goalkeeper: Heurelho Gomes, he is a Watford and Tottenham legend, he’s been around the game for years and always stayed top class throughout his career. In my opinion he’s very underrated and still can still play at a elite level. Top man

My favorite goalkeeper of all time is by far Scott sterling, the absolute face reflexes he has is incredible. And the fact he is incredible at volleyball as well speaks volumes. He is the man the myth the legend!

As a Brazilian, my favourite GK is Dida! Played great in the National Team, Milan legend and also a legend from my club, Corinthians. I think he is kind of underrated today, but he is one of the best that ever played the game, in my opinion. Cheers from Brazil, Ben!
I have watched Wrexham since 69/70 yes I am that old 🥴. It is Wonderful to see where Wrexham are going it is just Stunning. I remember Ben when he first played for us and he was always so full of enthusiasm and after the first game of his return to Wrexham I had the Pleasure of meeting him in the Corridor at the Bamford suite. He was an absolute joy and at 39 he was still so full of Enthusiasm and had time for everybody. Oh and as an Aside what a fantastic Goalkeeper 👍👍👍👏👏

Hi Ben, thanks for the good memories at Wrexham especially the L.D.V final 2005 at the mallanium stadium.at the end of that season on loan you could have gone on holiday or whatever you had in mind, but the true person you are you turned up for the civic reception at the guildhall that meant a lot to me and other people of Wrexham. Those green birds are called Kingston Parakeets and they first came to the UK during the filming of the African Queen movie in Isleworth Studios which is up the road from Syon Park where the escaped the set. Good luck for the season Ben. Can everyone like this so Ben can see it?

My favourite all time goalkeeper... I have 2 all time favourite goalkeepers... 1, Antti Niemi - never gave up, put everything on the line, brilliant shot stopper. 2, Artur Boruc - the holy goaly, very passionate, good at spreading himself, controls his area and I love his attitude... obviously David Seaman, Buffon and Cassilas has to be up there as well for me. Iv also mentioned how underrated you are being a goalkeeper myself, top keeper Ben keep it up!

I watched Peter Shilton in a charity game a few years back, with the age he was and while carrying a bit of timber, I’ve never seen a more agile keeper with my own eyes! He was incredible and I will always rate him highly, if he can play like that at the age and fitness he had that game. I can’t imagine how good he was in his playing days, wish I could have seen him play then

I’d have to go with Manuel Almunia. My now-wife and I met him in Barcelona Airport and he was such a nice bloke; all I did was nod and smile and he came and sat down at our table with his wife and chatted about football and holiday stuff. He then ended up on the same flight as us and waved to us as he got off the plane. Little did we know that he was flying in to L*ton to sign for Watford, and the rest his (major) history. That double-save against Leicester and what happened afterwards will seriously take some beating in terms of the greatest moment in my football-fan life!

Being a Westham fan always grew up watching David James and Rob Green, However the one that has stuck with me and words of advice he gave me David Seaman. Bumped into him on the plane, he was more than happy to take some time out invite me up to first class and talk goalkeeping with me. Was happy to take a photo with me even though i had my Westham keepers kit on me. Taking time out of his holiday and writing a note with words of encouragement and advice really speaks for him and the type of character he is.
