  • This is my primary camera!
It's the Sony alpha seven mark four, it's the best camera I've ever owned, not only for photos but especially for videos… And that's why I use it the most. And often when I shoot videos I have to face a rather sneaky enemy: the wind. In fact, this camcorder has excellent microphones: the voice you are hearing comes directly from this camcorder. And here whole minutes can go wasted because of a slight breeze
a few years ago for outdoor shooting I bought a fairly good quality shotgun mic, which I sawed and transformed, finally connecting it to a preamplifier and on which I built a wind suppression frame with a synthetic fur covering what is commonly call the dead cat. Write me in the comments if you are interested in a video dedicated to this… However, I very often have to do everything together: both shoot the videos and manage the microphone with its tripod and its recording support. Long story short: I want to be able to use the microphones of the camera outdoors by suppressing the effect of the wind! To go from this… In seconds! To this… Noise suppressed - noise present… Want to see how I did it?
