I, too, still enjoy handwritten letters- both sending and receiving! The difference between writing a letter and sending an email is that, when I am writing a letter, my thoughts are completely focused upon the recipient. There is no multi-tasking; no pop-up reminders, no notifications of any sort. In some ways, the hand-written letter is a very high compliment to the recipient (in my humble opinion) because of the sole focus on that person during the time of the writing. 😍
Music feels like I'm really in Nordic life
This video was so therapeutic and calming. I watched it at night just before going to sleep and I felt so calm. Thank you for this video!
So true ... I, too, often fall into that trap telling myself in my mind "oh man I should be doing this and that and why isn't that not done already". You really got to remind yourself consciously and say to yourself "no, stop... you don't HAVE to do everything at once or at the same time."
And yeah, you really can smell snow... I like it, too. It's so beautiful and quiet out there where you live!
I love your videos Sanna ❤They are so calming and inspiring. I feel the same with slowing down in autumn and winter. It's sometimes not easy in a world where being productive and doing much is so high valuated. But we can decide our own pace. Lots of love from Germany!
You are so right. I don't understand when did we all agree on that we have to be super productive all-year around. I think I have definitely missed that agreement 🙈

I am 70 years old now and the first snow of the season is still quite exciting to me- especially before Christmas or the Solstice. I hope that this small, simple delight (and others like it) never leaves me! 😃

I very much agree with you that there is a time- either during the day or during the season- when it is better to take things slower, no matter how young a person is. Life can be so much richer that way, also, as then the smaller details around us are more easily noticed (if we don't spend every waking moment using electronic devices!). And it is in the myriad of small details during the day that life is lived and (hopefully) enjoyed and savored. (That is why I am watching your videos!) 🥰

Hello! I just found your channel. I think I must be a kindred spirit to you. I too, LOVE WINTER. The rain, the coziness, long walks, warm fires. I live in California in the USA. We don’t get snow where I live, we have to drive into the mountains to see some. But I have a gorgeous view of the mountains out our front door. We had a Sheltie when we first got married. They are beautiful dogs. Do you call them Shelties in Finland? Shetland Sheepdog? Looking forward to more of your videos! Thank you!

Yes! Snow has a distinctive smell! Even before it snows, without seeing any meteorological report, the smell in the air and the look of the clouds is evidence of impending snow. I enjoy the variety of smells of the weather and of the seasons. At one point in my life I lived in a South American country and only 10 degrees below the equator. The sameness of the days and little variation in the weather had me really missing my distinct four seasons in the northern part of the northern hemisphere! I missed the smells, aromas, fragrances and even the odors! It is good to be back in the hills of New Hampshire, in the USA.
Of course far too late. But I still want to congratulate you on your birthday. I wish you all the best for the coming year and hope you had a very happy birthday. 💖
