Sbmm will for ever keep me from buying call of duty again. No matter what they add to the game, or what game they may remastered won’t matter. Sbmm always ruin the experience

I was this way as well until MW3. I fell in love with the zombies and became addicted. Then I found myself venturing into MP and recently Warzone (which I did not enjoy when it released).
I just don’t take the game as serious as I did. BO4 was the last Cod I took seriously. I had over a 5Kd in that game. In MW3, I’m barely above a 1kd 😂

Agreed. I'd love a definitive Modern Warfare trilogy (CoD4, MW2, and MW3) and/or definitive Black Ops trilogy (WaW, BO1, and BO2), but only on the following conditions:
1: All DLC from each game comes unlocked and available on launch (map packs, Spec Ops missions, Zombies maps, camo packs, weapons, etc.)
2: Absolutely no Battle Passes, Item Shops, or other predatory monetization.
3: This one is more of a personal preference, but I'd like the ability to toggle Ghillie Suits on/off for Sniper loadouts in MW2 and MW3.
4: Include unused/cut weapons in Multiplayer like the Dragunov, W1200, and M1911 in MW2, and campaign weapons in BO2.

Doubt we will get that. If they are going to remaster them it will likely be to bolster their gamepass library. And they will probably want to drip feed them out to keep people subscribed.

If this logic were applied to basketball, everyone at the gyms in pickup games would be NBA level because they've gotten better over time. It's stupid logic when applied to anything other than games and yet you people think it makes perfect sense to apply it to games. And yet, it doesn't apply to ANYTHING ELSE. So why would it apply to games? Statistics exist for a reason and saying stuff like this shows a clear lack of understanding of statistics. Everyone can't be top 1% because if they were, there would be no 1%.

Modern Warfare Remastered was the last time I played and enjoyed Call of Duty.
However I'd bet my soulless life on it that they won't release it without ruining it with the classic matchmaking that totally doesn't take skill heavily into account, trust us.
That’s the one thing I hated about PlayStation they never made it possible for the older CODs to be played on current gen or backwards compatible

A remaster isn’t even needed.. honestly, if they could bundle these old games up, make them $60 for the bundle, fix the hackers, actively support these games, and make them crossplay. That would be huge for the CoD community. I can see them actively doing work on Bo2. Just last months they fixed the emblem editor. They have to be planning something.
for years, i skipped over MWR and always considered it not one of my favorites. but i hopped on one random night earlier this week and i’ve been playing it nonstop! i still haven’t even hit level 55 and i realized i kind of missed out from playing it but i’ve been having a better time on MWR than any of the recent games!
Yes the older Call of Duty titles should get crossplay, but only Xbox, Playstation and (in the future) Nintendo. NO PC allowed!!!

Best case scenario is the CoD equivalent of the Master Chief Collection. You would have cross-play, and you could seamlessly switch between all the different CoD games.

It was so good outside of the lootbox and grindy gear thing currency. cross platform progression would’ve been nice with more than just the cod points but tbh those are my only issues with mwr

It this is the case. MW2 - BLOPS 2 would be the titles that people will flock to. The games throughout those years (2009-2012) are the absolute golden years and the absolute prime of call of duty. CBMM in those games and League Play in blops 2 specifically was epic. SBMM crucified COD and it sucks and the best content creators quit because it was just ass and they weren't all talk about quitting if the game was just bad.
If your Call of Duty ships with SBMM and/or cross platform, it ain’t a classic it’s tragic.
They need to give the people behind SM2 a nice fat budget and team of decent people to make something special happen.
I would love them to do something similar to The Master Chief Collection with COD. Just put everything in one package, spruce the games up a bit visually, and there you go.
I can see a world where Gulf War is the start of another golden age of COD. It seems that this is the first COD where Microsoft is really going balls to the wall. If they hit it out of the park with Gulf War on top of remastering an old game the player base will rightfully be flooded. Fingees crossed

Ever since they redid the servers, black ops 1 has been extremely populated. Like 10-15 TDM lobbies at all times. ~10-15k active players weekly on leaderboards
B03 needs to be remastered & crossplay, it’s got a fairly big player base even with all the modded cheaters
Midnight release was always so hype back in the day. WAW and MW2 stick out in particular.
I didn't even play world at war in its prime, but it is and always be my favorite cod of all time.
I don't understand why there isn't a legacy version of this game with every map ever made, every gun, every killstreak.
I played back in June and I didn't wanna move on. I would still be playing the older games if the hackers didn't ruin it. Can't play the new SBMM CODS.
They just need to remaster all the old cods full campaign & multiplayer for Xbox & PlayStation. But MW2 Remastered MP won’t be happening because they already used those maps for MW3

Going back to old cods feel weird. Especially when newer cods have a field of view setting and old cods dont so going from 120 to like 80 feels clunky and slow.
Yeah the lack of FOV and deadzone settings really makes it hard to go back to older CODS for me. Only hope is they will remaster them, but then they will probably ruin them with SBMM.
I was 9 when workd at war released, 11 with black ops 1, and 13 with black ops 2... Jeez much of my teenage years were soent in the golden years (and honestly they play as well if werent for hackers and modders)

I wanna play a cod where the movement, ttk, graphics style(but updated obviously), weapon feel is black ops two. No slide canceling. No instant transmission, no bobing and weaving bullets. I don’t like art styles like MW where the oops blend into the environment.
I just want to know when we are going to get an impression of 8thots by Nero instead of the other way around.
Hope they release one old cod in gamepass every month so everybody focus on that cod and truly revive it for one month, then the next and so on, that way cod could "revive" for an entire year or more

I can’t believe Activision had the gall to charge for Cod4 remastered dlc.
In an ideal world, they’d turn infinity ward and sledgehammer games, or maybe just sledgehammer, into classic CoD remake studios, and then let treyarch be the sole studio making new cods every 3-4 years

If they don't attempt to fully fix Bo2 theatre mods, it will be useless adding it to Game Pass.. The game would just become more unplayable than it already is, they need to brick theatre mode man, it's literally the only way since MS aren't manually going to delete everyone edited films cause there are hundreds of thousands of modded clips saved across the game.

W@W was the most fun I’ve ever had with a call of duty game. Friends list full of great people, family members, full parties every day.
Weeks sunk into this game, and don’t get me started on Zombies.
Actually depresses me thinking about it, compared to the sorry state of call of duty today.
They should have bought out sm2 and let them work and release it as a throwback to the old cod days.
It was pretty much developed it just needed to be ported to console. + it had all of the gold stuff from the gold era.
Even if these older games come to gamepass it wont last long before everyone goes back to newer cods.

They will never do anything worthwhile with these old cods unless they could find a way to add skin’s packs for 20 bucks a piece.

I think there needs to be a combination of efforts to bring the old cod games back. I believe they need to make them cross platform, put a nice anticheater...and make them cheap (or gamepass)
