    I started riding on a Suzuki 50cc, my next bike was a 1986 yz80. I was 11 years old and bought it new with money I saved for like two
    Years mowing lawns and saving like crazy. Man this brought back memories.

    I ain't going to lie I don't even clean my air filters I just go and buy a new one soon as I noticed the little bit of dirt dusted into the air filter I throw it away and go to the dirt bike shop and get another one lol

      Haha well if you want to share some of your wealth by all means. Kidding aside thanks for the feedback. I put this channel together to help the fellow dirt biker save some cash by showing them how I do it to maybe inspire them to try it themselves. So cheers!

    Thank you for the video!! Recently picked up I believe to be a 83 yz80. Never messed with a 2 stroke and have watched a few other of your videos. Great job...have a few questions....what type of oil are you putting in?

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176 Před 4 lety

      You can use yamalube trans oilman I use yamalube 2 stroke oils to mix in gas. If you want to spend more money I use motul as well. Thanks for the feedback

      Do you by chance have a link to where I can get an intake?

    • @bigair0176

      Have you checked eBay or amazon. A 1986-1992 intake will fit. There is the dealership as a last resort.

      @@bigair0176 I found one on Amazon but it doesn't look like the stock one. I'm wondering if it will work. Seems to be the same size and what not. Just looks a lil dif on the back side.

      I used a website called www.yamahasportsplaza.com. Got the part numbers for all the parts and went to dealership is where I got most of mine. The problem with these older bikes is they can be hard to find parts sometimes. But just remember the 1986 thru to 1992 are basically the same.
