First night here I didn’t hit anything and didn’t video at all. Woke up Saturday and things turned around. In the matter of a few hours I hit 3 handpays, $4k $2k and $1600. I was dealt more quad aces than I could keep track of too.

Congratulations on your wins! Glad you mentioned Bob Dancer’s book. He is indeed the video poker LEGEND. I was lucky to play next to him once on my trip to New Orleans about 8 years ago, when Harrahs casino there had the best VP at CET’s properties. May I ask you a question? Do you change machines during you play, and if so, what influence your decision to switch the machine? Or you normally would stick to one machine- for better or worse?
Also,BP or JB sessions would be cool to watch as well- to see how long $$ would stretch in comparison to the high volatility games. The TTB is one of the most volatile, if I remember the numbers correctly.
Hi Tatie. I’m going to start practicing on Bob Dancers VP program again. I respect what he did sticking to his goal and making it work! The book was motivation for me to pay attention and try to be a better player. I change machines a lot. Reasoning is not based on anything except my superstitions I guess. Maybe I’ll try sticking with 1 machine next time. BP and JoB gives me so much more play than triple double. But I’m a aces bonus junkie! Lol. I’m trying to mix it up more. Behind the scenes I also enjoy racking up the points at mgm for comps. So BP gets me more too. Thanks for writing!
I met Bob Dancer on one of my many Vegas trips. He used to teach video poker classes at the South Point Casino. I happen to be on vacation when he was teaching so I took one, it was cool to meet him. He was quite personable. I threw him a Starbucks gift card after it was over and he seemed to like that. I asked him where he played. He only plays overnights at the South Point and Dottie's (a local slot parlor type place in strip malls in Vegas) mainly due to less crowds, as I do, I only play very early mornings 4 or 5 am and am usually done by 8am. He's a cool guy that I also conversed with via email a few times. I can tell you he's very smart and methodical and STRESSES TO ONLY PLAY when you have the advantage. I could never really figure out how to factor in the 'slot club' benefits as he calls it, so I just try to finish ahead in the long term. At current time, I'm slightly ahead for the year with 50k coin in, I took off starting in March and just recently started playing again this year.
I had three winning trips to the Borgata recently and last one I crapped out. My bankroll was a little low in hind sight. I hammered away hard for 2 straight hours playing 7/5 BP, I cannot find the 8/5 in that casino. Hit 3 or 4 four-of-a-kinds, but nothing better, no Aces. I think it was about 7-8k coin in. My tier credits also seemed off as I only earned about 2500 in that session playing dollar denomination for 2 hours. Seemed low to me. Not sure if they changed tier credit calculation recently but it wouldn't surprise me. Probably going to take a break, as big hands seem elusive lately for me. Good luck and good videos!!!
I respect Bob Dancer as a person and what he does with VP. I used to not feel good about the pay tables I was playing and the fact that I made mistakes. However, I like gambling too much to not play. I just started practicing with VPW and hope to perfect a few games. There’s something about playing smart that makes me feel even better! Thanks
I hit a lot on Triple Dbl but its way volatile. If you can find Bonus poker Deluxe try that one out too. Nice hits for sure.
Sometimes you just gotta ‘go big or stay home’. Sometimes you just wanna play a little slower on a less volatile game (Bonus Poker) and enjoy some drinks; plus you can still hit a Royal.

Thanks Chuck. I found my old VPW program and started practicing at home. Found out Wow I made so many mistakes! Went to borgata and stuck with just $2 BP and broke even. But, I felt a lot better because I feel like I knew how to play it. Finding out more about the market will take a long time. I wish you better luck too.

Going to AC next week for a change. We live in Florida. Staying at the Borgata. Used to play VP a lot at Resorts back in early 90s. Had a blast. Went back a few years ago and couldn’t deal with the cigarette smoke and left. No idea if I just dealt with it better years ago, or if it has gotten worse. Anyone know if Resorts’ smoke is still the worst in AC?
I was at the borg sat - sun, thought I saw you too. In your opinion what's the best casino for comps from vp? I usually just play poker, but when I'm with the gf I don't have the time to grind like I usually would. Vp seems to give better comps than table games, which I feel are never tracked properly.. and I try to stay away from the slots.
Hey Joe. If you ever see me stop by and say hello. We left Saturday night around 8pm. I was played out! Grind is a good word! lol. Tables are great I love playing craps and bj. But the comps suck. From my experience Borgata gives me the best value - mostly in the form of reward cash, free play, and slot cash. I’ve heard Ocean is good, but it’s hard to start over somewhere else. They’re like drug dealers! Lol
Not sure about the best comps? Maybe Borgata. But your definitely right, VP comps are way better than tables
@@JohnnyXtreme I get decent comps @ borg as is but the gf doesn't really like being in the harbor instead of the boardwalk. I was thinking of trying hard rock or ocean, but they don't seem to offer that good of vp games

@@Jenger420 never been to ocean. Hard Rock was good, but not sure of the comps. I would try hard rock first, but you can’t loose with Caesars. I would go Tropicana. Borgata hotel is amazing but she’s right. You have to stay on the boardwalk
At the 23:38 mark you kept one Queen and threw away a pair of 3s. Be careful.
Around the 21:00 minute mark of this video you kept a single Ace and threw away a pair of 9s. Why?

Borgata,,,is NOT a big fan of the video poker player. That's why I hardly ever visit there!!!
