Just an FYI:
Oli absolutely shredded his voice by screaming incorrectly for years... like "almost couldn't sing ever again" levels of shredding. He's been slowly building back up to some more screaming stuff, but also making music with the softer sound. Their recent stuff (Ludens, Parasite Eve, and Obey) have all been blending elements from their Sempiternal/That's The Spirit/Amo albums. My guess it's because of the fact that he's relearning how to scream correctly, and is protecting those golden vocals at all costs.
Also, branching out is awesome when you do it the way they do IMO

also he went to rehab and in his own words "I went to rehab for a month, and you guys were sending me texts and e-mails. When I got out of that rehab, I didn't want to scream anymore, I wanted to sing from the fucking rooftops."

Ryder is a huge yungblud fan.. not so much his poppy stuff but, his heavier stuff. The dude has a great message to the younger generation. He and his fans really go all out in making everything inclusive, I admire that. I was excited for this collaboration and it's been really neat to see how these artists are making videos during covid.

So, I definitely think Bring Me have grown very organically over time. Sure, they’ve incorporated more pop influence with each album, but it’s never felt like they done so in search of a bigger audience. And it’s not like they’ve achieved pop star status. Yes, they’re more popular, but when you look at some of the choices for their singles, it’s hard to think they’re just chasing sales. I think they just like exploring their music, while also writing great songs.
Doomed live at royal Albert hall is the song with the orchestra
You should give a shot and try reacting to some YUNGBLUD songs, the heavier ones (like heavy for what he does): Strawberry Lipstick (UK pop punk); Hope For The Underrated Youth (it's like a mix idk); Loner (one of my favs, and it's like sex pistols with some rap)

The live at albert hall is the performance with the orchestra. I would say watch any of these from that live show: Doomed, Happy Song, Shadow Moses, Can you feel my heart, Drown. Those are my favorite, but honestly the whole concert is incredible!!

Yungblud is from Doncaster and most of BMTH are from Sheffield which are just over 20 miles from each other in South Yorkshire in the UK, we have a very strong accent so that probably didn't help to hear the lyrics 😀. Yungblud has said that he grew up listening to BMTH and used to scream along to suicide season when he was growing up.
Ok, the first few times I listened to the song, I definitely also thought it was “howdy hey.” 😂
You guys are definitely right about this song introducing YUNGBLUD fans to BMTH because that is exactly what happened with me. Im a huge YUNGBLUD fan and had never heard of Bring me the horizon and this introduced me to them and now i like them as well

Check out “Shadow Moses” from the Sempiternal album. It is the perfect bridge from BMTH’s metalcore sound into their more alt metal/edm rock sound. It’s also an objectively great song. I’m a new sub binging your vids, which is why I’m commenting on old vids lol. I love your content and aesthetic though. I’m definitely a fan

My introduction of BMTH was the Sempiternal album 2013 and after obsessing over that album, I listened to their old old old stuff and fucking loved everything. I'd say to check out their original sound and PLEASE eventually check out the compilation "Music To Listen to..." The compilation doesn't have much Metal, it's mostly EDM and experimental material that was thrown away from the album "amo"

I don't think you understand what the video was about. Also, BMTH started out as a DeathCore band, like Pray for Plaques. From what Ollie and Yungblud have said this song is about being controlled by the powers that be. So the guys are making the robots fight, finally, after a moment, the robots disengage from the one's controlling them. And realize they love each other. But YB's song Hope for the Underated Youth is a masterpiece. Or you can listen to YB's and MGK version of Champagne Supernova by Oasis.
