Trust Risey to tell you when he has had enough. My dog was diagnosed at 9 months old with wobblers. We had her until she was 5 years old. One morning when I was getting kids up and going for the day, I looked at my girl and I could see it in her eyes she had had enough. I let her go a few days later when she was having a better day and we went for long drive and a hamburger and then we said our goodbyes. This is a difficult road to travel and these decisions are hard to make but, it is the price we pay for having our animals in our lives to love and enjoy. Trust Risey... he will tell you and you will know in your heart it is time. 💜💜💜
Thank you, Laurie. You speak the heart of many of us in the herd. When the time comes, Yvonne will know it is right in her heart and we will support her.
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved companion. It sounds like she had happy life with you & your family.💔
Yes and also she will not be tormented by that decision later. Right now she will be so better she gives him time. It is a difficult regret to carry on you when you don't if what you did was right and the animal/pet was willing for it. I don't want to see Yvonne in that situation. It is the same like Drs say to switch off someone ventilation.
Always Think Horse First. Is the horse happy? Yes. Is the horse in pain? No. Some vets and horse people think if a horse is disabled in any way to put them down. We don't do this with people so why ever do this to a horse. You are a good person Yvonne, give Risey a good life for as long as you can, he may surprise you by living several happy years.
That. Lots of what ifs, but he's just not seeming too bothered as I could tell. He's playful and energetic, a great sign!
@@sucedeu True however he can also seriously hurt himself, and we can also can see how this is so heavy on Yvonne’s heart. It sucks to be her right now 😢
It's not your bad luck that brought him to you. It was his good luck that gave him such an amazing home.
None of us should tell Yvonne what to do or not to do! It is up to her to decide. But we all should let her know that we will support her, no matter what she decides for Risey.
People are only trying to help with giving advice. Everyone can still learn new ideas from others. Wouldn't it be wrong to keep a solution to yourself that could help Rising Star. This should be about finding a solution for him no matter who has an idea.
If you DON'T give Risey TIME, you will always wonder if you should have. We are on this journey with you. Thank you for being honest about all of it.
And that wonder will be worst if you come across of one in the same situation who pulled out. My advice is to take time. Time is the greatest healer.
@@ruthgoebel723Ich unterstütze Ihre Aussage komplett. Der letzte Schritt sollte immer die wirklich allerletzte Option sein.
I agree….you wont regret waiting to see and we do love watching Risey and we love him and you Yvonne and all your family and horses. When you are hurting physically it can weigh on you mind and feelings. Lol I love how Risey is sensing your sadness and is trying to love you up to cheer you up. He loves you Yvonne. You know Risey better than anyone and can have confidence that your heart will tell you what to do. Let that give you peace. Meanwhile am still praying and waiting with you. 💞🙏🤗🥹☺️🙋♀️💐🌞
I'm not being mean honestly but if a human can get their pinched nerve fixed why can't they on a horse. I had a pinched nerve in my neck and with therapy it doesn't bother me anymore. I read on a vet site that they can operate on a horse for wobblers. It's in the USA. I would help you pay for the trip. As I'm sure other Risey fans would. I don't know. He does love you and I'm Risey's biggest fan. But I do think in your heart you will know what to do and you second guessing everything I think you would regret it if you didn't give him more time. His life has been filled with miracles from the start and I believe he can still be healed.❤❤😢😢😢❤❤Love you Risey.
Yvonne. You say you always have bad luck with horses, but maybe these horses find you for a reason………the love and care you give them. Look at how much love Risey has for you. He knows you will support him through this. He is a beautiful boy and you are a beautiful soul 💕💕💕💕
I believe the same thing. Yvonne is just the right person for all of these special horses who need some extra love, care, and time. I can't imagine what your heart is feeling right now Yvonne but I also see Risey as such a gift--he saved Uniek's life and soul after losing Star, she saved his life after losing his mom, and I believe he saved your life and has helped in your healing too. He has to take it easy and as you continue to heal from your accident, you need to take it easy too. He is a lesson in perseverance and the gift of time and love. With love from the United States!
Well said. This is very much my view on the situation too. Yvonne is an incredible person with so much love for all around her. I sincerely believe that Risey will improve given time and love. 💜
Agreed. She is good at taking care of horses that need extra care or time or therapy ...
Both you and Risey are challenged in ways that many people cannot understand. To me, watching Risey just as he is and you just as you are is a blessing. So much of the world is artificial. You and Risey are as genuine as it gets. It’s just wonderful.
Let him live his life. He'll let you know when he doesn't want any more.
I hate to hear you say you have bad luck with horses. You did not cause Risey to have wobbler. You have given him a wonderful mom & a wonderful life & he loves you for it. We will always be grateful to you for all you've done for Risey. Thoughts & prayers are with you & Risey.🙏❤🐴🐎🌹
I love it that Risey feels like playing and being frisky in the arena. While he has trouble with his coordination, just the fact he feels so much better and has healed his leg wounds says a lot about his care. ❤❤
This was filmed in November. I don't know that he was gelded yet at that point.
Yvonne you are entrusted to take care of Risey. You have good advice from professionals. We support you and Risey in whatever you decide. He's a beautiful horse. Thank you for your honesty. It's hard to see your pain. 💗
Yvonne, the only thing you need to listen to, is your heart. You are Risey's caretaker and only you can make decisions for him. Those of us who have followed you, and laughed and cried with you, will still be here regardless of what you decide to do re: Risey. My only advice to you is, when/if you make a decision and if you announce it here, turn off comments. Love & wisdom & peace to you.
Yvonne, thank you for showing us exactly how it is with horses. The ups and downs, joys and sorrows of loving these magnificent creatures. It's reality...it's life. Risey is having good days and bad days. When one starts winning out over the other, you will know what to do. Right now, giving him time is the right thing because he is not in pain. No matter how this turns out, you have support and love here.
These vids probably help other horse owners with similar situations.
In this video risey seems to he comforting you. He senses how upset you are😢
Rising Star is happy and other than the wobbles, he’s healthy. As long as he doesn’t become severely debilitated, he deserves to live and enjoy his best life. Right now, follow your heart, Yvonne. You have time.
😢 you keep Rising alive as long as he acts happy, and you and the vets feel that he's not hurting let him enjoy life as long as he can.. For sure we are on your side that's for sure❤❤❤✝️
Risey looks so happy playing in the arena. I was happy to see that he was trotting around and acting frisky because it meant that he wasn't in any pain. Ultimately it's your decision but in this video Risey is full of life as always.
Risey seems happy with his life, despite his limitations.
Risey will always be a sweet, happy & gorgeous boy in our hearts 🥰 ❤🇨🇦 Guardianship of a precious soul isn’t always making easy decisions. It sometimes making the best decision for the animal with your heart and your head. Your heart is not ready to say goodbye and your brain tells you more time may make a change. So give you and Risey some time. ❤❤❤
Very well said and how loving. Yes, your “ online herd “ stand behind you in whatever you decide. It’s your barn, your rules. But what this lovely person said was spot on.
Me too! I believe her heart will know if ever it is time. So happy we all are waiting with her so she doesn’t feel alone. Miracles can still happen especially when we wait for them. 🥹💐
I agree with your doubts, that it is not a good really life without jumping, being frisky aso, while he is so young and still growing. And there are many vets and therapists have looked at him from multiple ankles, so I think I would follow their advice. He is a sweet boy, but sometimes that's not enough to decide
@@bettinaachilles9475 However, maybe the local professionals don't know everything about the latest procedures around the world . Hoping for a miracle seems insufficient while there is anything else not looked in to.
It breaks my heart to see rising star in this condition…. I know he is in the best place in the world he can be is with yvonne
I've had 2 horses with serious health issues that each took 12+ months to resolve. For both, vets said it would never walk normally again, never mind riding. The key to their healing was listening to the horse, and giving it time to heal.
My first one had severe laminitis. Vets said he could 'crash' at any moment and I should euthanize him. Yet when he was stall-bound, barely able to walk, he was bright, eating well, nickering at everyone. I could afford to pay for his board, feed and vet visits so I decided to give him time as long as he wanted to live. It was 14 months before I could resume light riding, but I had him for 15 years after that doing low level dressage.
My second horse had nerve damage to his spine at his croup. X-rays showed his vertebrae had been broken by a fall, which also severely injured his left front knee. I purchased him as-is from a ribbon-hungry owner to give him a decent end-of-life which I thought was going to be a few months. Although he was hobbling, he was bright, eating, nickering for attention. I have the space so I gave him time. After a year, he was sound enough to restart short rides. That was 14 years ago. He's been a great trail horse, with the silliest personality.
I also know time doesn't always help. I had a horse where it became very obvious, very quickly that the right thing to do was to put him down. His eyes had no light, he was in tremendous pain which was not improving. A hard, painful, but correct decision.
For Risey, don't be too quick with a decision you can't undo. Him falling and injuring himself is a real concern. You don't want a horse with a broken leg. But a what-if might never happen. He's only 2.5 years old with a lot of growing and bone changes. Some questions to consider: Does he have good quality of life? Does he have the will to live? Is he bright? Is he happy? Can you afford to keep him? Can you afford to give him time? He seems happy and bright in your videos, but only you know the answers. Getting through serious health issues is a difficult up / down journey. Yes, vets have experience and knowledge, but healing is much more than facts and listening to your head. Listen to your heart. Listen to Risey and get his opinion. Time plus the will to live go a long way in healing.
He is happy right now. Give him more time and love. He may just surprise you. Alot of us are praying that he will be healed.
Yvonne will always do what is right by all of her horses. She makes no decisions lightly. Yvonne- listen to Risey-he will tell you what he needs. 🧡🧡
Danke, dass wollte ich auch schreiben! ❤
Ich bin mir auch sicher, dass Risey es Dir sagen wird, wenn er nicht mehr kann und Du wirst es dann spüren, liebe Yvonne, so wie wir Deine Traurigkeit spüren und sehen können.❤
I agree too, Yvonne this is hard, but I know that ultimately you will do what is right for Risey. I have been watching your videos for a long time, well before Risey was born. I loved them then and love them now. We are here because of YOU. We are learning so much from your love of animals and humans. You have all our love and support. Always ! 💞
Showing us how Risey moves with his Wobbler's syndrome is okay. He wants to leap, run, and kick up his hooves, and even with the Wobbler's he seems so happy. It helps us understand what the condition is, although it is very sad. Thank you for filming him in his pasture too at Stall H near the ponies, and how you care for his wounds, and overall wellbeing. I am so happy that Risey is still alive. I am so happy that you and your family at Stall H own him.
He clearly is happy and appears not to be in pain. If he isn’t suffering, he deserves to live. Love him for what he is and the joy he brings to you. Yes he is imperfect, but that’s okay too.
We like to see Risey just as he is. It doesn’t matter that he has wobblers. We still love him and want to see him too
Risey isn’t click bait at all. We all come here partly to watch his journey through this. You have the best channel on YT!! That’s why you get viewers! 🧡🧡
Definitely not clickbait. Yvonne is a wonderful and honest person . We love you Yvonne 😍
We're praying for you Yvonne. We know you love these horses, but we also know how serious Wobbler is. You must do what is best for him in the end. If he cannot live his best life then for his sake we know what must be done. We love Rising Star , but he must not suffer. I am crying as I write this. My heart is broken for you.
Yvonne, you're one of the strongest women I've ever seen. Much love for you and your family.
Es ist auf keinen Fall Clickbait! Du machst es genau richtig, Yvonne! ❤
I am stunned by the people who think they know the answer for Yvonne. Those who tell her to give Risey time will not suffer the potential harm that decision might bring in injury to him or Yvonne, or Yvonne’s family or animals. “Potential” is the operative word here… NO ONE knows. Yvonne is the only one who will live with her decision and has every bit of the information and intuition to make it. No one else does. Give Yvonne your 100% support for her choice WHATEVER it is and WHENEVER it is. That is trust. THAT is respect. 💜🦋
Well said…Her knowledge and love for horses is undeniable …it’s Yvonne decision and only hers..Yvonne will always have my 100% support and respect
@@DianeLee999right on, sister. Too many people keep saying how Risey will get better, but no one knows for sure. These are decisions only Yvonne can make.
Oh Yvonne, half a century of owning horses and i have faced so many "I really don't know" situations myself. It's the crushing reality behind their strength and beauty. So many things can go wrong that we can't control. You are an amazing horsewoman. I will support you in whatever decision you make.
My heart breaks every time I see you fighting back tears. I can't imagine the pain you're going through to see Risey struggle with his condition. I pray for him to get better.
@@kristinedunner988 I think praying brings comfort clarity and strength which can help make choices that we may not have reached in a frazzled state of mind. Collective prayers creates positive energy with knowing and even feeling love from so many people. This is my opinion and not based on studying. 😊
Years ago i had a dog i loved you became ill the vet gave me the best advice.."he will tell you when it is time....when he's had enough " and he did...we loved on him and he let us know when he had enough. Our pets let us know when they are done...you and Risey are so close!
You'll know when you're filled with peace. Right now, that's not where Yvonne is.
@@sucedeu thank you for understanding... This girl is in pain , seeing him like this!
A horse is not a pet... or a predator like a dog (don't have that kind of bond whit humans, horses don't need humans and are not loyal with humans, of course they could spend funny time with us, but they are not dogs who exploding joy to see us). If you close a dog into a hause with the owner, it will be happy. If you close a horse into a box, will become mad, angry and will hate humans.
Plus, they need to move due to their gastrointestinal system. As Yvone said, it's not so simple to stop a horse: it's the worst thing to do... for example, a horse always lock into a box can have a colic. It's not simple like to heal a dog/cat or humans.
You obviously want only the best for Risey. Follow your heart. You will know what is the right choice for Risey. As long as Risey is enjoying his life you are doing the right thing for him.
Risey may not be moving great but a few months ago he wouldn’t even trot without encouragement, so he has to be feeling a bit better. Patience and time. Nerves take a very long time to heal, so who knows, maybe he’ll beat the odds.
My heart breaks when I see tears in your eyes, Yvonne. Your horses are loved by you and by us. You don't have bad luck. You have a wonderful time with them. Sometimes it's hard, but you do what's best for them anyway. Whatever you decide, I won't leave. I loved you, your family and these horses.
I'm 4 mins & 26 secs in and I can definitely tell Risey is happy with life and doesn't let his condition keep him from living it. If you're worried about his front legs, I recommend putting on boots or wraps to keep from clipping himself. We had a stallion that would do this periodically so we ended up putting bell boots on his back feet & tendon boots on the front when we turned him out.
Yes! He needs covers on his legs and that would provide immediate protection against the constant leg injuries. I'm surprised she hasn't done this yet.
Excellent idea! I was thinking the same thing about wrapping his front legs, it wouldn't hurt.
Well, this video is at least five months ago. Thus, we all wonder what's happening in the Now time.
Rrisey is very handsome and full life and spirit. Can't give up on that. He's showing you he's still wants to be here.
Yvonne, I always say my animals tell me when they are ready to leave this world. I look at Risey, and he is not telling you that. I know there is always the chance he could really hurt himself or even someone else.
Let Risey guide you. No matter what, it is your decision and I support you. We only see a tiny piece of your lives and what you all are going through.
Yvonne, I strongly believe the only reason vets are telling you to stop is because trying to deal with and treat Wobbler's takes a lot of time and a lot of money depending on the treatment. At the end of the day it is completely up to you, and no one else. You already know what kind of life a horse should have, no one has to tell you that. So, whatever you decide in the future, it's okay with me, and it's okay with the rest of us. When you know 100% it's time to let him go, that will be the time and no sooner. Until then, keep on truckin'
Just the fact that he feels like jumping tells me that he is not in pain. He loves you Yvonne. Give him more time please
It’s not just about him being in pain. He can’t control his back end and could potentially have a tragic accident because of that. It’s not like having a dog or cat that you can keep quiet and calm.
He looks so much better since you brought him to your home, just treasure every moment with him.
Our hearts are with you, Yvonne. It is a hard decision. Take one day at a time.
I'll take Risey any way he is...when I see him happy my heart skips a beat or two. Sometimes time to think things over and let pieces fall where they may is all you can do. Risey will let you know. You'll be at peace, and so will he. Right now, you're grieving what he could've been. He has that inner beauty you just can't easily explain, and how stunning he is to look at! ❤️🧡💚🐎🐎🐎💋💋
Really perceptive comment. What is and what might have been. The latter causes more grief than the first, in a way. It's an especially grim grief for Yvonne who saved this baby and made him a little legend on the world wide web. Whatever Yvonne does next will be the right, the wisest, the best decision for Rising Star. I think we all know this.
A lot of information and opinions swimming around because of Yvonne’s video on RISEY’s condition. I feel Yvonne will know whats in Risey and hers best situation. It pains me to see Yvonne in this sad situation for a decision either way. I only pray the right answer comes to Yvonne and all viewers can give Yvonne the respect she deserves whatever she decides for Risey! ❤ Yvonne, Risey and all who love this channel for what it means to them💕🐴✌🏼🖖
@@elizabethwalter5744Thank you. Seems like the potential injury issue is being addressed full on, which is understandable. However, I don't see Risey as just a horse, and the decision has to be well thought out, just my opinion, as I see the other side of him and what he can be.
It is so heartbreaking to see Risey like this. Whatever you decide, I support 100%. You are the person who sees him everyday and cares for him.
Yvonne, one thing I've noticed on your channel is that since you found out Risey has wobbler, you seem somber and sad when you interact with him. He's seems very much better than before, thanks to your care, so can you be happy when you're with him? Maybe he had great potential for something horsey, but every time I watch him run and play he brings me joy! Risey brings a lot of people joy! He's doing his best, he's a beautiful soul, and he can feel your sadness over lost potential and worry for him. Sending a huge hug and much love. 🥰
In spite of Rising Star’s wobbler, I love to see him on video. He’s absolutely gorgeous!
I can tell you i went thru something similar when my young Tennessee Walker. She developed what is commonly known as opossum 23:14 was virtually untreatable at that time. Little to know control over her hind and falling easily. She was young and hurt herself a few times, and several vets said to put her down. Her eyes told me NO. She was willing to fight so I kept talking and looking and finally talked to a young vet that said we could try one more thing and it was affordable. Long story short, she pulled thru and was good for several more years. We had many good trail rides, but it was really bad for a very long time.
I don't know the answer for you, but you know what you can handle and you know how Rising Star feels by his eyes and attitude. God bless you and give you peace. I do know some surgeries in our country have cured this supposed problem, but it's not always possible due to costs and location. (USA). The last horse I saw that was back doing his wirk was a roping Quarter Horse. It took simetime after his surgery, but he's back doing great.
Hello from New Hampshire USA, been following you for a few years now. As a former owner and working at horse farms, you are in so much pain I am sad with you. If it was me, and I could afford to have risey as a pet, I would certainly give it time. I believe that God knew his little life was best in your hands from the beginning, and I know you will make the very best decision for rising star. Pray about the decision and listen for the answer or confirmation. Your personal recovery is a miracle we all prayed for you and your family. Give it a chance for Risey.
As long as he is not in pain, let him enjoy life. I love watching him so playful. God placed Risey in your life because you know the right thing to do. You will know when it is time because you have been given the knowledge of horses and their health.
E joy him as long as you can, put away the worry, live with him the best you can.
Risey is hard to watch only because as animal lovers nobody likes to see them struggle. But he is a very happy guy and that’s because you take such good care of him. So I think your fans share their concern and love of him.
Thank you for not sugar-coating life - social media does that too much, you are so right. You are showing the realities of life, that you can be unwell but still be happy, and Risey is so happy! It's important to raise awareness of these different conditions too. Otherwise people who don't have horses may not know. You give him every chance and so much love and care - you demonstrate the very best a horse-person should be. The community supports you no matter what
I love seeing Risey, wobbler or not, he’s our baby. I’m just grateful that he’s still here, able to play when he can.
Thank you Yvonne, our hearts are with you♥️♥️♥️♥️
Yvonne don’t give up, God brought you through and He can bring Risey through too! Enjoy him while he’s here!
Risey wants to show you that he is happy and enjoying life. You have wisely given him the gift of time.
Rising Star is a beautiful horse who's life has taken a turn that nobody expected, but he's so happy still and clearly loves you! Just keep making happy memories as long as you can, until you know in your heart what needs to be done.
My cat fell from 8th floor, vet told that he will never walk again and he need to be put to sleep. My parents didn't want that and took cat to home. He lived happy life, running, jumping and climbing up the curtains as a normal cat after several month of recovery.
I know, it's all individual, but miracles happened.
All horces can accidentally hurt themself (as human also), Risey just has a chance to do it bigger than others.
There is never a right decidion, there is only a choice between what you are ready to do. I mean, you will understand when you need to say "goodbye" to him.
He can`t play with friends, but maybe he don`t need friends, maybe he just needs you nearby sometimes :)
Risey is a very big joy to all that see him. I would not like to have to make a decision on how long to give him. I am sending prayers for you and all your family, be they with two legs or four.❤❤
Gorgeous Risey, I feel sorry for him to not being able to move like he wants to, but I enjoyed him being so playful and happy! 😒😃🥰❣
If only his Wobbler can be cured...YVONNE, that is " Some horse! "
I remember, when he was just a little foal, he was bucking in Rein' s arena...you said, " Whew! That is going to be something!"...
And he is!!!

The herd is with you Yvonne, we will abide by your decisions where all your horses are concerned, especially Risey. I'm glad you explore all the medicine available. You and Risey are in my prayers. ❤🐎🙂
One of the many reasons I love your channel is that you don't sugarcoat things (being honest). People need to see how life really is because otherwise, it makes them feel like they are failing if their lives are anything less than perfect. I really enjoyed being able to see Risey out having fun, wobbles or no wobbles.

Yvonne. You do such a wonderful job caring for your horses. Do not believe that you have bad luck. Anything is possible. Risey is a happy horse❤
Glad to see hes happy and living life as long as he can, bless you for allowing him to be all he can at this moment in life.
Dear Yvonne when I watch Risey falter my heart hurts for you. 💗💗
It’s very difficult to determine what is the right decision! Give yourself a break and enjoy spending time with Risey for now. Hope Risey gets better soon so there is no decision to make. You’re still giving Risey a good home, food, medical treatment, and most importantly love ❤️. I think you’re doing just fine 🥰
I've been on this journey with you and Rising Star since the beginning. A beautiful love story, thank you for being transparent with us and allowing us to come along. Your love is huge for him and Risey for you. The way he shows you he loves you and thanks you for all you do. His sweet nudges and nibbles.... he knows he are his advocate and will be by his side for better or worse. Love wins!!
In a way, it is actually beautiful to see Risey being allowed to run around and be happy within his abilities.
Obviously it would be an easier life for him if he did not have wobbler, just like life would have been easier for you without your accident.
We cannot control all that happens to us, but we can control how we react to it.
If given time, Risey could maybe be taught how to behave in as safe a way as possible for both himself and others around him. But that is a huge investment of time, energy, and risk, on your part. No one would ever blame you for not taking that on.
😢He is not only a beautiful horse he is your child. Any decision you need to make is yours and Bauke alone. We only support you. My heart breaks for you this is so so difficult. 🙏🫶 He is still young so he has that in his favor...He loves his.home and ia truly happy and content.
The young age might not be in his favour. I just hope he does not hurt Yvonne one day as he does himself.
I have been around horses since birth, lol . I'm 63 and it seems people don't understand what wobblers is. I have had a horse with wobblers I gave time even surgery it gave me extra time with him, 7 yrs after surgery he could no longer get up, he was in pain I said my goodbyes hardest thing I have ever done. But what I am seeing and knowing he has a lot more growing to do scares me . Yvonne will do what she needs to do in her own time . I'm praying for you Yvonne I know your pain . I love Risey too and it brings back so many memories .
He is NOT her child! What a stupid thing to say. It is an animal, not a human!
@@RoBA7 Don't be so rude. Many of us feel our animals are family, and even our children. You have no right to say that because you don't feel that way. You need to work on respecting another persons view.
Life isn’t perfect but how wonderful we can appreciate beauty like Risey enjoying himself in the paddock on a beautiful day. Thank you for sharing x
I am keeping you and Risey in my thoughts and prayers, Yvonne. 🙏🐴
Rising Star is 2 and half years old and already over 16 hands, definitely a sign of rapid growth. KWPN/Dutch Warmblood is one of those breeds that grow in height. RS' parents were 1.70m and 1.74m each, his grandsire was 1.72m. He's growing that way because he's likely to be very tall or even taller than his parents, I pray that he naturally outgrows it and that hard measures don't have to be taken.
Good heavens, I think I'd have trouble too if I grew that fast. I did not realize his breed could grow that quickly, although I did know they can be quite tall.
@@SilverIchimaru Not to mention, they go through very awkward growth stages considering they are by-products of cross-breeding. As a result, his breed are known to be prone to wobbler.
Would it be possible to grow over the wobbler causing anatomical issue?
Any experience with horses breeding on that?
I feel he doesn’t understand why his legs don’t work properly so he might be frustrated at get very dangerous, your life and family are most important than everything,Risey is a stunning horse but you can’t make him better, sometimes we have to make heartbreaking decisions but then move on never to forget him.Just my opinion please no hate ,I’m not a vet just feel he is frustrated with his legs not working.❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢
Yvonne, Rising Star will never be clickbait to this old Texas cowboy. I’ve followed his journey from the beginning, and seeing him and how he moves, lets me know for what to pray. Someone might say that the Creator isn’t bothered with such things, but my Bible tells me that He knows when a sparrow falls. So yes, He cares and I’ll continue to pray for his (and your) healing and for wisdom for you that what ever decision you make, it will be the best for Rising Star. My heart aches for you and all of the ones who love this beautiful animal.
Amen....God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly beyond what we pray, ask,🙌
Your comment is written so beautifully and thoughtfully, thanks for reminding me of all of these truths. I will continue praying for healing for both Risey and Yvonne, and divine wisdom for Yvonne! Amen to all you said!
I'm so happy that you show everything, the good and the sad. Some of us have "known" Risey since he was born. The one thing I always find a little painful is that he is always alone. But he has attached to you as have the other horses and that is a beautiful thing to see. You will and he will know when it's over. I hold my breath sometimes when he runs and I think he is going to go down, and he doesn't! Whatever experience he needs to have in this world, he is still having.😍🐎
Yes, I agree....as a herd animal, it hurts to see Rising Star " alone"....but his herd is only a few steps away...he is not completely isolated.... Hopefully, it is enough for him!
I’m sososo elated to see Risey playing and moving in the arena. My heart soars with him. He is beautiful!🎉❤thank you love!
Yvonne, it is not bad luck that you have with horses, it is just lessons of life. Hugs❤❤❤❤❤
Yvonne, nobody thought you would recover from your fall or ride again. Give Risey the same chance. You can wrap his legs just like many show-jumpers do, but give him time.
Risey is so precious! ❤
I love watching Risey. I was heart broken to find out he has wobbler. But as much as it saddens me I am so glad you are trying everything you can to help him. He may have a problem but he deserves a chance to enjoy his life and you are giving him that chance. Thank you. I love your channel. You have a wonderful family.
As hard as it might be to watch Risey move you can see that he’s happy and not in pain. I know you’ll do all you can to keep him that way. He is so beautiful. I would determine your decision on his quality of life. If he’s doing well eating and happy and not hurting himself he deserves every chance.
Risey you are so beautiful! Unfortunate death of your birth Mem, the death of Uniek’s foul; to healed Uniek’s heart with your presence. You save each other. That’s a tall order for one so young.
I like seeing Risey, he is beautiful. He is so happy. He doesn't judge life like some do. You can tell he is happy and enjoys his food, your love and attention, and the outside air. ❤❤❤
Do what you think is best but please give Risey time. He may surprise you. I just dont want anything to happen to him. Bless his heart
No owner wants to face that decision. You are doing best you can. My ❤is with you and Risey.
@@kristinedunner988 You are so WRONG! Yvonne purchased Rising Star with hr own hard earned money!
Yes,Uniek was bought for her..OR, maybe we wanted to see the Queen safe....which ever!
But you do not know what you are talking about!
SO mean spirited, like you are
jealous, if you cannot find anything helpful to say.... Say nothing!
As long as Rising star is happy it's not a bad thing to show his health. I mean he's not in pain and falling all the time, he's just playing around. It's very sad he can't move like he used to but he's not thinking like that either.
I agree...he can run..and it makes him happy to do so!
Keep at it, Risey!
@@lisajoyaslanis If he keeps growing and it gets worse it certainly would be more obvious choice but right now he seems able to be happy and social. Just with a safety fence inbetween.
You are right. He is not human. He is a horse. Science and technology have not caught up with large animals to provide support, such as how we can do for dogs or cats with medication and wheel chairs and some with prosthetic. It will forever and always be hard because we love them so much, which includes the decision if it is the right time. Either decision is and will be the right one. You will have those that will criticize nomatter what the decision is. I support whatever you decide. ❤
Don't despair Yvonne. It's a sad situation but don't put him down until he's in pain and there's no chance at all for any quality of life. Don't let him suffer but don't cut him short either. You never know. We saw him out there today and you could see he knew there were things he couldn't do because of that bad nerve but he still looked like he was having a good time and look at all the attention he got! Let him live as long as he can be happy. You'll know when it's time. Be brave!
If he’s happy himself and not in pain, I think you should give him time. He didn’t do too bad when he was running.
Look at that tail!....and he dances for you!
( albeit, with a limp....)
But he tries!
Yvonne, from all that I watched, I don't think you have bad luck with the horses! And the hard decision you have with Risey ... it's not that hard (yet...). He isn't in pain, he's not suffering, he still enjoys a really good quality of life. He's still young enough and strong enough that he looks and acts like he's coping with this. You're honest with all your videos, and with talking to us, the community who love and support you. For what it's worth, my vote is to give Risey more time to enjoy life and get stronger while he does. And you - remember that even though there are things you still may have trouble with, you are also doing great and are getting better with time. Know that you, Risey, and all those at Stals G and H are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers! ❤
I am just so happy to see Rising prancing around and just loving life. What a beautiful happy boy. Brings me much happiness
I understand the advice to put him down. It comes from a business perspective, as he may never be a sound horse. But is he in pain? Does he enjoy life? Unless you absolutely cannot afford to keep him, you can choose to let him live. As a handicapped person, I say remember , his value is in who he is and how much he is loved. We all support you in whatever decision you make.
That is exactly what I was attempting to put into words. I agree with you!
I disagree! This is definitely not just a business perspective! And never compare animals with people! Also, he and Yvonne have to be safe!
This is not just a business prospective. He could fall and really hurt himself or others. He can’t run or move like a horse. You can give him time, but how much knowing he can’t get better. Horses aren’t people, when they have an accident and fall on you, something awful can happen and Yvonne has already been through a lot. I understand and support her in either choice and neither are just business.
That is such an unfair comparison. A full grown horse of his breed weighs half a tonne. A horse that size without control over his limbs (but still trying to run kick etc) can be a seriously danger to himself and other animals and people. She clearly loves him; the "business" decision would have been to put him down before all this expensive vet treatment. It's a really difficult and heartbreaking decision for her and and your implication that putting him down would be like her saying disabled people should are worthless is so cruel. I hope she doesn't read your comment.
Yvonne it breaks my heart to see you so sad. Risey seems happy enough for now and still needs to finish growing. The nerve might just need more time to recover from being trapped xxxxxxxx
That was a somber update. Thank you for sharing this. He's a special boy.
He's so happy.
Hi, Yvonne, I am very grateful to you that you don't treat me as a idiot, only showing the beautiful parts, I know how life is and sometimes good sometimes bad things happens.
I really hope that Risey gets better, today it seems that he is saying: Look, Yvonne, how I am better, and all thanks to you, you have done a phenomenal job, I am so happy and love you so much! ❤
Such an impossible decision! Knowing he isn’t whole, yet seeing him so happy and relaxed, obviously not in pain. This isn’t a decision to rush or to take lightly. Yvonne, you know him best. We support you and are behind you, whichever decision you make.
We should all do a huge prayer for Risey tonight,. Miracles do happen & he certainly deserves one ❤❤❤. Love to you Yvonne.
Hold in there ❤
Praying for you, Yvonne , that God will tell you what is best for Risey❤
Yes, I too have been praying 🙏 for the healing of Risey. I will continue.
This video is at least 5 months ago. I wonder what's happening now, March 2024
Please don't put Risey to sleep 😢 ... As you said so yourself he seems to be happy he has a little disability but that doesn't mean over time it couldn't get better. Miracles do happen 👏👏👏. His spirit is there, but I know it's your decision and it's a tough one... I can only send prayers out to you and your family in the horses 🙏
Dear Yvonne, I have been with your channel since the early days and have watched with much love in my heart. I know your love for Risey but Wobbler will rob him of his freedom to frolic and play in the pasture as a young horse should. A life of safe confinement would be a cruelty. We have shared in your life and love for Risey but you need to make the humane decision. I have way too much love and affection for you both. Much love, Sue .
Many of you have asked if Rising Star could wear leg protectors.
That is a good idea. But Risey still finds it very scary when his legs are touched. I thought it was too big a risk that if I put protectors on him, he would start making crazy jumps with all the consequences that entails.
If it would be better for Risey in the longer term, I may still decide to use protectors.
Yvonne, I'm not an expert on horses...I just love them, and lots of other animals too. All I can tell you is that, growing up, I loved being active - climbing trees, hills etc., wanting to see all that I could. And yes, I'd sometimes come home with bruises & cuts, whivh my Mother cleaned up, asking me how I'd done them. As I got older, the injuries sometimes were worse, but part of life, as far as I was concerned. I think I learnt to live life 1 day at a time then, forgot it when I was older, but have relearnt it now that I'm retired & don't have as much energy. Looking at Risey, he seems to be handling his problem well now... (as far as I can tell). He looks like he's enjoying life...and is very affectionate. Winter is cold & icy here too, so I'm wondering if you could still let him run in the Arena, so that he doesn't risk falling & really hurting himself outside. Whatever decision you make, and when you make it, it will be difficult...but I'm sure your fans will support you, whatever you decide.. Can you slowly get Risey used to wearing leg protectors ? For very short periods of time at first, then a little longer...This might be the silliest idea you've ever heard, but what if it worked? Sending ❤ & Good Luck + prayers.
Yvonne, you know Risey better than any of us. I had forgotten how sensitive he is about having his legs touched when I asked about leg protectors. With all of the time and patience you spend working with him, there will come a day when he will let you put those protectors on. He is so lucky to have you taking care of him.❤️🙏🏼❤️
A CZcams channel called Ryan Rose has videos on how to desensitize a horse to having their legs touched safely. That might help with getting Rising Star to accept leg protectors.
1.) Yfke to Yvonne: Don't leave yet, I want more cuddles. 2.) Is Tewa (sorry I can't pronounce her name right yet), the same breed as Risey? 3.) right now he seems to be fine. Just keep an eye on him for now & I agree with the leg protectors. I'll be keeping you & Risey in my prayers, that he'll get better 🐎💖💘🥰🐎💖💘🥰

Days hast Du super geschrieben, Jo-Anne Burlton 😊 !
😊❤🎉
