The Greek mathematician Archimedes discovered that the surface area of a sphere is the same as the lateral surface area of a cylinder having the same radius as the sphere and a height the length of the diameter of the sphere. The lateral surface area of the cylinder is 2πrh where h=2r.

WOW , what a video, it loved the part where you made juice out of the orange. Thank you for the great explanation!!
Thanks Dino
Reallysuper way of explaining complex maths terms into real time objects like orange and simple and easy to understand a child basic learning.... We r expecting more from you bro
More on the way.... Working on next topic.. Targeting every weekends one video...
Well explanation I have learn something today
Well explained brother. Will be very useful for kids. Keep uploading more such videos. Joined you dear ❤️
Thanks. When drawing your circles why did you have to do the preliminary thing with the compass? You could have just halved your diameter to get your radius, then placed the point of the compass in the middle of the diameter, no?
Super. Nicely explained
First of all hats off to u 🤝🤝👍 great respect for u thanx for a educational based share, to be frank it's been so many years I haven't seen the compass it takes me to my school days joined
Nice one.. it may help to many student out there around the world.. anyway, thanks for visiting me.. this is not the first and last.. I will come into your place again.. keep on uploading more videos

thank you so much bro
Yes... we need to feel the formulas not only memorizing them❤❤❤❤❤
Nice explanation.👏
Its a good one thnx for your sharing 👍
Fantastic 😍😍
Finally understand it, I don't want to know the formula but I just wanna know WHY we use that formula, tysm
We use that formula because it’s convenient and sensible. The volume of a sphere is two-thirds of the volume of a cylinder.
Good One Ega and Kids will relate and easily remember the formula instead of memorizing
Thanks a lot my dear RV Sir... (Dear Friends, He is my college professor)

Could you please make a video about the volume of a sphere, i would love to see your explanation on that as well. And i am pretty sure other fans of this channel would agree on that!!
Sure Dino Abhi...
@@egalearningcurveuk375 Hiw is the second method valid if you dont fold the cylinder atop the orange to show it maps completely?
@@leif1075 thanks for your question. The volume of a sphere that will fit exactly in a cylinder is that of the volume of the sphere with the same radius. Every point in cylinder maps into sphere which can be proved computerized projection.
@@egalearningcurveuk375 how if you picture it the tops and bottom of the cylinder don't map when you try to cover tje orange or another spjere..you knownwhat i mean..like the very top part will be uncovered due to the edges of the cylinder..
@@leif1075 interesting question. Thanks for asking. We have to visualize step by step. Each point on the sphere is projected horizontally onto a cylinder tangent to the sphere. It is an equal-area projection. Please Keep me posted if still not clear, I will make a video for this that will clarify :-)
Really awesome vdo
well explained
Super bro well explained 👌👌👌
U explained it very easily super bro by appa veetu
Firstly Thank you for your no nonsense method..
Question how would you express Curvature a sphere like Earth in an Equilateral sense?
Thus avoiding equations that result in exponential steps of Curvature resulting in increasing inaccuracy and the parts of Curvature or segments not adding up to the whole spheroid thus failing in accuracy let alone making common sense of describing reality.
Id be interested in seeing your simple Equilateral Curvature Maths of a spheroid like a Globe..
Thanks again look forward to hearing your response..

Lk 39 superb, well explained n very informative thanks for sharing
great video! is there a relationship between the volume of cones and the volume of hemispheres? thank you
Such an interesting question PB... Yes, there is a relationship when hight of the cone equals to radius.. twice the volume of the cone = volume of the semi sphere...
We can visualize this too...
@@egalearningcurveuk375 I felt like there might be a connection. Thank you, so much!
Sphere explanation is really superb and fully watched friend 👍 I'm joined with u dear friend and stay connected friend 👍
