I went to Cuba in 2017. It’s a great country. We toured the island for 2 weeks (Havana, Cienfuegos, Santa Clara etc). Everywhere we went, people were friendly & kind. There is music everywhere. The world has to thank Cuba for Latin music (like Son, Cha Cha, Mambo, Salsa etc).
It is safe to walk the streets.
Home-stays are great - it’s not expensive & visitors get to see how the locals live.

У моих родителей сослуживцы летали на Кубу в командировки в 70-х. Рассказывали, счастливый народ, днем русские работают, кубинцев не видно. А ночью, когда наши спать хотят в гостинице, эти счастливые люди выходят на улицы и орут песни!!! ))) В голове навсегда песня начала 60-х , Куба - любовь моя, остров зари багровой !!! Фиделю почет навсегда. Пусть он и ошибки делал, а у кого их нет.

I visited Cuba in 2007 and in 2012. Havana is a beautiful and exciting city. Was in i.a. Trinidad, Santa Clara and Cienfuegos. Can definitely recommend an excursion to the beautiful Caribbean island.

Io sono cubana…A Cuba c’è una dittatura comunista, che ha distrutto un paese ricco e prospero trasformandolo in un paese da indigenti. Non viaggiate a Cuba, i soldi dei turisti vengono usati dal partito comunista per reprimere i cubani, per comprare macchine della polizia e gas lacrimogeni, costruiscono anche hotel 5 stelle mentre il popolo muore di fame e gli ospedali fanno schifo. La dittatura comunista ha il monopolio di tutti i mezzi di produzione, fabbriche etc e non c’è la proprietà privata. La dittatura non fornisce nessun alloggio ai cubani, si pagano le tasse, i cubani non possono permettersi di comprare con il loro stipendi una casa , una machina o un semplice pezzo di carne. Il cibo che dici “sovvenzionato” si paga ed é in pessime condizioni e non da per una settimana, con la tessera non vive nessuno. Un professionista può guadagnare intorno ai 25 euro e i prezzi sono a volte più alti che in Europa, nessuno vive di un stipendio cubano, la maggioranza vive dei soldi che mandano i cubani che scappano da Cuba e che inviano ai familiari dentro l’isola. A Cuba c’è una dittatura comunista totalitaria, antidemocratica, repressiva, dove non si può protestare o scioperare altrimenti ti richiudono in carcere, leggete la costituzione cubana pari al fascismo o peggio, leggete il codice penale cubano assassino , a Cuba ci sono minorenni in prigione, anche intere famiglie innocenti, anche cantanti e artisti. A Cuba non c’è libertà di espressione, tutti i mezzi di comunicazione sono controllati dalla dittatura e la censura e la manipolazione è al ordine del giorno. La educazione non è gratis è pubblica , Fidel eliminó le scuole private, e trasformò il sistema educativo en un arma per addottrinare con la ideologia comunista per lavare il cervello dei cubani da piccoli. Non andate a Cuba, studiate e non difendete la propaganda comunista. Cuba non è uno zoo dove ammirare gli animali per lanciare le noccioline. Cuba è un paese di persone schiave, prigionieri di un sistema ingiusto, incarcerati in un isola dove comanda il PCC. Ich war 2020 in Kuba, unter anderem auch in Havanna. Ich durfte viele liebe Menschen kennenlernen, die trotz ihrer Alltagssorgen charakterlich und zwischenmenschlich sehr angenehm waren. Niemals werde ich vergessen, welche schönen gemeinsamen Stunden ich mit den Kubanern verbringen durfte.

The one thing that stands out in both this video and the one in old Havana is the lack of vitality compared to what it was prior to the Castro brothers taking over. There's more vitality on Calle Ocho in Miami than there is in Havana. A shame.

I recently discovered your wonderful videos. I am now watching Cuba.One strong suggestion. The subtitles stay on screen for too short to be able to read AND watch the video. I missed many of, either the descriptions or the videos. This is frustrating and disappointing. Can you make the descriptions stay on the screen a bit longer?

Correct. This is exactly what I wanted to show with his videos. There are many realities in Cuba and this is one too. Unfortunately only tourists and people with money could enjoy this while everyone else is suffering.
Круто, что без гида-блогера, как будто сам ходишь. Через несколько минут глаз таки выцепляет реконструкцию, всё же ремонт ведётся, есть даже свежеотремонтированные кое где.
И еще заметил особенность, что нет мужиков в шлепках практически, и это при такой-то жаре. Все в кроссовках или туфлях. Еще там кайтинг, говорят, неплохой.

Io sono cubana…A Cuba c’è una dittatura comunista, che ha distrutto un paese ricco e prospero trasformandolo in un paese da indigenti. Non viaggiate a Cuba, i soldi dei turisti vengono usati dal partito comunista per reprimere i cubani, per comprare macchine della polizia e gas lacrimogeni, costruiscono anche hotel 5 stelle mentre il popolo muore di fame e gli ospedali fanno schifo. La dittatura comunista ha il monopolio di tutti i mezzi di produzione, fabbriche etc e non c’è la proprietà privata. La dittatura non fornisce nessun alloggio ai cubani, si pagano le tasse, i cubani non possono permettersi di comprare con il loro stipendi una casa , una machina o un semplice pezzo di carne. Il cibo che dici “sovvenzionato” si paga ed é in pessime condizioni e non da per una settimana, con la tessera non vive nessuno. Un professionista può guadagnare intorno ai 25 euro e i prezzi sono a volte più alti che in Europa, nessuno vive di un stipendio cubano, la maggioranza vive dei soldi che mandano i cubani che scappano da Cuba e che inviano ai familiari dentro l’isola. A Cuba c’è una dittatura comunista totalitaria, antidemocratica, repressiva, dove non si può protestare o scioperare altrimenti ti richiudono in carcere, leggete la costituzione cubana pari al fascismo o peggio, leggete il codice penale cubano assassino , a Cuba ci sono minorenni in prigione, anche intere famiglie innocenti, anche cantanti e artisti. A Cuba non c’è libertà di espressione, tutti i mezzi di comunicazione sono controllati dalla dittatura e la censura e la manipolazione è al ordine del giorno. La educazione non è gratis è pubblica , Fidel eliminó le scuole private, e trasformò il sistema educativo en un arma per addottrinare con la ideologia comunista per lavare il cervello dei cubani da piccoli. Non andate a Cuba, studiate e non difendete la propaganda comunista. Cuba non è uno zoo dove ammirare gli animali per lanciare le noccioline.
