Abandoned House Comes to Life. Digging Potatoes. Huge Stones Have Taken Their Place

- Today we made another retaining wall where the barn will be located. The retaining wall was laid out of huge boulders that used to serve as foundations for wooden houses. These were pre-war houses, of which only stones remained. We found a new use for them and improved the area with them.
We also dug up the first potato crop planted this year.

Estoy viendo comer a Murka y me esta pareciendo q le poneis trozos muy grandes y le cuesta mucho poder trocesalo y masticarlo,yo tengo gatitos y les hago los trozos mas pequenos(espero no pueda molestaros mi consejo) es q la veo masticar la comida y me hace sufrir.
Me gusta mucho como os esta quedando todo,los muros d contencion con las grandes piedras y vegetacion,van a quedar espectaculares.
Lo paso muy bien,viendo los videos de Olesia y los tuyos.

Sunflowers need a lot of nutrients, so the potatoes didn’t get everything there could have been in the soil. A bit of compost or good rotten manure will help next year!

I think it’s a beautiful thing that the decades old peasant houses are now giving up their boulders and rocks for you to repurpose them as retaining walls for your forest home. What a huge transformation already, your landscape has changed so much in such a short time. Everything is coming together beautifully.

For contrast, I viewed a video of yours from last winter. Truly amazing how far you have come. In the video, your Mrs. makes potatoes, bacon and hot herbal tea for lunch for both of you. Looked wonderful. Now it is summer and there are so many improvements to the outside. You are harvesting and planting. Great stuff. Please be careful around those big heavy rocks Shasha as they are very heavy! Love how it's beginning to look. I can imagine the barn and how it's going to look around there once it's put in. You all have the perfect skills you need to make that new home of yours look and feel like a fairytale place, beautiful & inviting! Your potato harvest doesn't look bad for starters 👍😊😊 Your beautiful sunflower garden is so much bigger than I imagined! What if I may ask do you do with all the sunflower seeds? My husband & I grew a couple of very large sunflowers (like yours) under grow light & when it was time, we placed them in our front yard, one on each side of our front yard gate. Later I joked that our house looked like a hippy house : " ) I'm enjoying your videos so much & thank you for being so good about giving Murka so much love! You guys are amazing.....asta' next time.
