      Panarin is -9 and turns the puck over numerous times a shift. That’s why guys like trouba get blamed cause they take the brunt of it since that are “defenseman” … defense is played by everyone. Or rather it should be.

      He does speak English. He chooses not to. His first year he answered almost every question in English. Which I find hilarious.

      I mean some people can understand a language but can't speak it well. Probably easier for him to use the translator for his answers rather than stumbling with his words.

      Panarin's interviews in Russian are always very cheerful, full of jokes, and i think he doesn't want to lose anything by translating in his own. Maybe later we'll see.

    The translator i am sure is not fully translating what Panarin said, maybe he should carry a two way language translator and read from that off the tablet.

      Translator did a good job. It is really hard to translate this kind of things, but this time most of the speech have been translated correctly

      You new to hockey or something? A lot of NHL players especially Russian players, don't speak English very well. And I don't think it particularly matters how long he's been in the U.S.

      Artemi speaks English better than he lets on. He almost never waits for the interpretor to translate the question from English to Russian. He knows what they're asking. He's fun to watch in the pressers when he's sitting next to another Russian, like Igor. They poke fun at the interpretor, who never seems to translate his responses correctly, and Artemi knows it because he understands English much better than he speaks it.
