Greats can be measured by how their team does without them...remember when Steph got hurt in 2020? They fell to basically last place without him. I know Klay was out too, but still, once Curry was done for the season that team turned back into the Warriors of old. Steph is an absolute game changer, and if he somehow gets another ring, with all of his accomplishments, how he has changed the game, humbleness, loyalty to one team, Steph is in the top 5 conversation. Scary thing is with his playing style and how well he takes care of himself these days, he could easily play another 5+ years.

Remember, the Warriors were a laughing stock until little 160lbs Stef entered the league. Plus, Bron plays with some of the best players in the league as teammates. If you put David in Golden State, they’ll win a championship this year. The only teammate Stef played with was Durant, who was not homegrown. Think about all the Top players that Bron played with: Davis, Wade, Bosh, kyrie, and Love in their prime and with excellent shooters like Allen, Mike Miller, and Korver. It’s just Stef, Draymond, and Klay, and Klay was out for 3 seasons.

Older players didn't have to travel equals more rest. Short season equals more rest for older players. Lakers probably benefited the most of the short season and no travel since they were the oldest team.
There were also no audience in the stand whereby home crowd plays an important role for home-team and against away team. Who cares who won the Micky Mouse title?

Seeing Jordan's dominance brilliance and all around greatness, then Kobes insane work ethic & dedication to his craft, now Stephs ability to expand the floor and shape the league into a space where even a 20+ lead late in the game isn't safe and you have to guard shooters as soon as they cross mid court.... Bill Russell avg 22 rebs per game playing against Wilt career in game to game contest against Wilt. Won 2 rebs titles out 5, when Wilt was in his prime and Wilt being 2 years younger than Russell (Wilt won the rebs title in his rookie Year). Russell holds most rebs per game career avg at 25.9 and most total playoff rebs at 4,109. Avg 15 pts per shooting 13 shots per game.
