lvl 1 rain of fire fast creeping is kinda lit tho
Yeah that was the one very cool thing he did! Rain of fire was very effective against those 2 specific creep camps
I just bought the game after watching so many bronze league videos. I play almost exclusively competitive pvp games and I play almost exclusively tryhard style in all games, even semi-casual social games like Don’t Starve. But this time I decided to play Warcraft III from scratch, without checking meta or learning the builds. I’ll use Human because that was what I played 10 years ago. I’ll read the in game text as I play, learn maps in real time, and genuinely discover the game and have fun. Thank you Grubby!
I want to see this
I actually bought the game too! I played it many years ago but campaign only (didn't have internet at home)
After watching this game, I'm tempted to also. This game gives me hope that I might stand a chance against some players lol
That's super cool, you should make videos
I also recently bought the game after CZcams starts feeding Grubby's video onto my Front page. I can't find my RoC CD that I lost 10 years ago.
I found out I lost all of my skills to Micro, but I guess I try some Bronze 1v1 soon.
Grubby: This is 4x less efficient!
Chad bronze player RobinCwan: So anyway, I started healing
I actually didn't realize just how inefficient it was until grubby did the math... or at least until he mentioned that mana takes 4x as much moonwell juice... that's really good info to know.
@@danieldaponte1819 With the bear, it takes 500 moonwell juice to recover the 125 mana spent on Rejuvenation, to heal 400 health over 12 seconds.
Or you can just spend 400 moonwell juice to heal 400 health instantly.
It's.. slightly inefficient XD
They nerfed it quite recently so it wasn't this bad back in the day. Don't know what the ratio was tho @@danieldaponte1819
I love how bronze players have some steps planned out when starting a game, but after 3 minutes they just starting using a magic 8 ball to make decisions
Yeah, RTS games get very overwhelming after a few minutes. I find myself doing the same thing. What really helped me was to stop focusing on the beginning of the game and learn a little more about what's good at higher populations.
RobinCwan is the poor soul who had to endure the wrath of Bober.
I just had a mental breakdown over how that pit lord stubbornly refused to just oneshot the dryads and archers
The number of times that the pitlord could have turned 60 degrees and hit a half dozen targets and instead hit just one took probably 20 years off my hairline this game.
The night elf kept retreating even tho he had the Superior army 😂
Yeah they both did. Like that base in the top right... orc ran away when the demon hunter looked at him briefly lol
NE so coward....
I cannot believe Robin broke the vow he made to his pet goldfish 😡
lmao that shredder bait, strategy genius
xDD
I'm just imaging the night elf player, tense, soaked with sweat, slowly heaving back in his chair with a deep sigh of relief at the shock of it finally being over.
Close game though.
Having JUST three gold mines against none is barely an advantage.
"they played in some ways amazingly"
ok. that was a lvl 1 heal wave from that lvl 4 sh. thats all I know
18:55 that dying roar was the most hilarious thing 😂
Roar into an epic split Van Damme would be proud of.
*Only for it to immediately get purged off :(*
I can't blame the guy though, cus in all honesty, that is actually kind of a good habit.
Like, if you see that a hero or unit is guaranteed to die, you might as well use the items and spells they have available, since that's your last opportunity to press those buttons within the fight, and it allows you to actually get some value out of them, whereas otherwise, you wouldn't get any.
I'm suspecting that orc might be a MOBA player, since getting spells off before dying can be especially impactful in those games. _(Even if that doesn't get you a return kill, there's a huge difference between your opponent ending up at 90% of their max health after a solokill, or at 50%. And in big chaotic teamfigths, it ensures that you provide as much value to your team as you can)_
Scroll of the Beast though...... yeah, you probably don't want to panic press that XD
_(Similarly to big cooldowns in MOBAs, like a Flash in League, or a Refresher Orb in DotA. And not gonna lie, wasting these thanks to panic is way easier than you'd think xd)_
Personally i measure my rush distance in kodos. But i guess peons work too.
The campaign cheats by giving the enemy more gold than they actually have in their gold mine, and by being able to instantly react to anything. To compensate for the lackluster A.I., it just builds an army and sends it off. The campaign is all about turtling for the average player until you build a bigger army with perfect upgrades to push out everything and win in one fatal swoop.
This is clearly what is happening in these bronze vids. I totally get it.
33:29 the new face touching meme
Grubby's gonna play the NE but only bear healing challenge.
Man when I played years and years ago I never realised mana costs differently than health from moonwells, so I'd load up on care bears and think I was gaming the system
this one was by far the best bronze league video
I love them all. Lets see how this one is going to be 😂👍🏻❤️
24:59 I actually did this the last time i tried learning wc3. It's only recently that i have seen in your videos that mana is so expensive on the moonwells. I just assumed it was the same and that the spell healing was more efficient than the moonwell healing.
Same here, that's gamechanging info to have
I think having a carebear is epic move, as said you can heal units with mana with him, just don't heal him with moonwells
@@ssjmewtwo5448 Indeed, it provides that option (to save moonwell juice if your units don't need mana), with a relatively low tax of 500 moonwell juice per 400 healing instead of 400 moonwell juice.
However since he DID want to Abolish the Orc's Bloodlust, not sure if keeping the Dryads "dry" was a good idea.
They were both so afraid to push into each other too, the orc almost had no trees left near his base
Pit lord, i love pit lord
He went headhunters bc style and he found true shot aura.
Having never played this game, it's like listening to another language because I have no clue how this game works.
Haha, that's funny enough, but it's even funnier because if you were watching this game play, you'd still probably have no clue how it works
Neither do the players here so relax and enjoy the show
This was the most painful episode of BLH you've done so far. >,
My brain hurts
Literally more entertaining than any pro tournaments I've ever seen. Also I never realized how powerful level 1 Rain of Fire was.
I like how the chinese player played
Grubby, you look like a mad professor who has had a spooky encounter with electricity.
Love these series, watched all of it lol
"Why is the elf running away?"
Isn't it obvious Grubby?
He's going to go creep.
The care bear is so good. I wonder of NE once tried doing some calculations on efficiency using rejuv vs direct from moon well, and made a typo or thought of the math wrong lol
Man this one was more painful than most
They almost seemed terrified of facing each other for much of the game. Btw loved the carebear
lol the joke about the hero taking out hidden weights is exactly what happened in Blue eye samurai. Good show tho, I can REALLY recommend it.
This is how I used to play. I used to be very scared of leaving base, so I would just defend and turtle, build towers and hope enemy ran out of gass as they attacked me
Thumbnail be like "Three giants one Pit"
We want care bear NE
We need more of these causua games reviews 😂
Grubby takes 3 minutes to notice giant emotes in chat, no action happened in the game.
Bronze league is fun, but I definitely enjoy it more when you try to implement some of the weird strategies on display :)
7 Ziggurats unsummon necro is the best build
At his mmr he has to tryhard otherwise he will lose
@@silviuvisan505he can play with melon
@@silviuvisan505 No he does play those builds lol watch the channel more
New build suggestion for Grubby? No healing from moonwells, only can use care bears for healing.
Grubby ahead of the curve on the orc player, he's already done the "no units" strategy.
Back in the days (37) when i was young and beautiful and also played WC3 i had no idea about moonwell efficiency, so i actually did carebears strategy because in my mind that's seems efficient
Best content on your channel soo far
Mannoroth takes over the Horde and battles Illidan.
I feel like orc was definitely trolling/challenging themselves (and new), but I think NE was just new
Massively entertaining games matched only by equally amusing commentary
robincwan never recovered from bober's tc rush
The commentary was very entertaining.
After seeing lots of grubby progames oh My god this game is like they are both playing a campaign map
That was definitely the game of all time.
This has got to be one of the most painful games ever to watch. So nice to at least have Grubby commenting LOL.
I don't think Night Elves should be allowed to use Shredder for lumber (sorry if this has been litigated already).
"Bronze League is Gold" to watch :DD
37:52 ish was that YOU making the orc sound ?!?!
3:36 omg.. he had SO MANY peons on gold.... lawdie
I question my ability to play this game. This content makes me feel extremely confident in my abilities 😂
this game is so mad, i lost it when bat went batnuts
after watching grubby for awhile now and after a looong break from the game, I'd like to announce that I have officially beaten Computer (Insane) on 1v1 with orc against all four races! Feelsgoodman
38:45 nah its like trading F-45s for ww1 pew pew plates through the front
Love these games
That is one expensive care bear
I'm gonna start playing this just to get to this series :D
The elf player break his promise to his dead fish in order to win tho.......
Those RobinCwan games man
Did you guys notice that Pit Lord took Howl of Terror instead of Cleave III at level 5?
Although I started playing this game 20 years ago, I've never tried PvP. Now watching this series I will give it a try, as I know, that there might be players on my level, playing without strategy and low apm. At my age, I became really lame... Any tips for hotkeys?
He has a whole video on starting the game again in our current year. It helped me a bunch, I'd recommend it.
@@gogeta667 thanks a lot. I will check it for sure
@@gogeta667 now I started and was listed with 4500 mmr, without any wins... How can such a thing happen?
Bronze League Heroes is such quality content. Saying that as a BLH myself 😅
You have to do this bronze strat of buff pit lord with bloodlust lol
grubby have the same hair cut that the static-x singer
My eyes hurted.
Theres a reason most kid-friendly shows is rated E for Everyone and not K for Kids. We wont judge if you like Care Bears Grubby ;)
Best bronze league game so far
Awesome new sticker
This is so beautifull 🥺
He has no lumber but long distance mining
Eh Mr. Grubby, can you do the bronze league hero strats of meat wagon with frost wyrm, and this orc's pit lord with bloodlust? I want to see how pro do it. And of course have a way to deal with pesky air units.
Imo neither player would win against normal AI. Maybe one easy AI. Still hilarious entertainment.👍
Seriously, what happened at 22:18 ? Orc definitely never had vision of NE's army yet he sends his army back to his main and casts lightning shield and bloodlust on the Pitlord in preparation to fight that army. How did Orc know the army was there?
This one as so strange, I feel like there has to be more to the story.
I remembet some of us watcraft 2 players going on wc3 first time, no spoilers.
Piling up workers on gold making 2 barracks.
Having no idea about 5 worker on gold. Or upkeep or heroes really lol
Whats the right amount of workers on lumber? And does this differ with race?
I really liked Chimaera ninja squad tactics by NE players. But not on a Bober-tactics level though.
We know how this is going to turn out…. So grubby, where is your pitlord of the moon ?
Title should be: Huge Towers vs Huge Mountain Giants!
What was this game man. I am at a loss for words.
40:32 and footmen
Play the bloodlusted cleave strat please!!!
That's a GENIUS strategy!!!
Blooslusted cleave+ crit+ Panda's passive skill.
3 lightning orbs of course.
And buy as many gloves of haste as possible.
@@MWcrazyhorseand get unholy frenzy too. PL go super fast 😂
I think Chinese player went head hunters because he got True shot aura
what in the world am i watching in this orc for newbelf on terenas strand lmao
amazing :D
uploaded just in time for my lunch break :)
isn't getting tier 1 upgrades while still tier 1 good if you plan on tier 2 units? esp. orc armor upgrade, cause it's for every unit. that way you utilize your downtime waiting for tier 2 & building buildings. seems time efficient, maybe not resource efficient tho
If it was an automatic fighter game, pure numbers like ehp would be good, but since its situational based, where dmg is mostly better.
25:00 How they should use claw is as extra healing. YOu asking it near the fight, pull Giants back to heal, then run it back for mana and when full, back to heal the giants. Maybe also to heal the casters over letting the casters also drain to heal mana. No reason for Giants in the base.
The best bonus doing it at all you want the wells to never maxing out. So having the claw soak up well juice when you're busy across map. How ever you know what's better then running the claw across map? Having a whisp make wells near the orc's base...
Wait RobinCwan was the same guy who lost to Bober due to full wall-off and he walls off AGAIN?
In some ways all heroes is easier, I used to do it sometimes in 3v3. You just manage the heroes, no worries about econ/bases.
Grubby, I have a question. Why do you play this version instead of Reforged?
It is Reforged but classic Gfx
that was sweat for sure
When I play orc or Human I often end up Tiny building the what ever and setting up 3 or more towers. I used Tiny because I wanted it up as soon as possible and having 5 workers speed building or 3 peons rallied to the mine after is less micro, on top of the speed. Tiny tower being nerfed makes me sad but it still works due to the less stress of not feeling the need to camp the expo as much vrs Heros trying to snipe workers. I also early expo and go into low upkeep if I'm not being pressured out side of a single hero early. Hell If I can I'll tower up their expo if they ceared it, just to be annoying.
Chad pit lord.
This game was not meant for mortal eyes
I think 20 peons on gold is a good video concept
The NE player: 'Omfg, that was the most intense game of my life, can't believe it's finally over and I won, NEVER AGAIN!'
The Orc player: 'Haha, what a nice game, can't wait to play again!'
Honestly, this is both the worst and the best game of WC3 I've ever seen.
1 min ago Is crazy
