You often hear the terms CTC, Gross Salary and Net Salary. But do you know how they differ from one another? People often fall into the trap set by big corporates where they disclose the CTC that they are offering but tend to hide the full salary break up. There are multiple deductions from your CTC and the salary that you get after those deductions is generally 30% (give or take) less than what you thought.
First comes CTC, then a few deductions later comes the Gross Salary, and then a few more deductions later comes to the Net Salary which is basically the amount you will actually take home. Learn how to calculate your Cash In Hand from your CTC with the help of working examples.

Hello sir, really could not understand why employee share as well as employer share both are included in the CTC. If basic salary is on the higher side, there is a huge gap in CTC and net salary
Though its embarrassing to say on my part having 4+ yrs exp, i am really greatful to have watched this video....qs it really tells yoh the harsh reality of the Salary packages offered abd HOW HEARING A 6L CTC PACKAGE make u feel good but the ground reality is bitter.

Golden rule to calculate your inhand is (Fixed salary)/15. This will be your salary credit in bank every month after all deduction. 😁

Income Tax Act says that You can put only those cost which you have in that financial year.
Jbki Gratuity to 5 year k baad hi pay hota hai to usko kese cost to the Company me dikha skte hai.
Same Bonus k sath bhi Bonus ka calculation financial year complete hone k baad. Company ko gross profit ka 60-69% allocate krna padta hai. Bonus bhi range me di jati hai hai 8.33% to 20% of Basic Salary. To in dono ko kyu organisation CTC me include krti hai.
Please provide the suitable answer for it.

Hi, Due to Covid-19 most of companies are doing pay cuts so I here want to know that can employers revised the total CTC and reduce it from earlier or they can revised the pay cut without effecting the CTC?
They can revise the CTC and reduce it from the previous one..in this case, most of the employers don't change the basic salary and reduce it from other components.. but in this pandemic time, everyone has a valid reason even to reduce to basic salary

Informative but you have not taken into consideration other perks and allowances like car allowance, petrol allowance, conveyance allowance, driver allowance, Mainenance allowance, Mobile allowance, Special allowance, Medical allowance, Performance by Objectives etc and LTA. Its very important in CTC calculation which is normal part of very senior professionals to the level of GM, VP, COO, CEO etc. Trust you agree.Regards,
No that's true, but my suggestion is don't take them in allowences but in Reminurment after recent SC decision on PF,
What is reminurement?
Every company don't give car or petrol allowance.. Instead they can be requested for reimbursement as per uses

I have always failed to understand why does a company an employee to its cost rather taking it to its resources or net worth. If a company is going through hiring process they do lot of screening and even after they concider an employee as cost not worth

Explanation is too gd sir it means gross salary =basic+hra+epf+esi. Allowance would be separate out of ctc
To cut the long story short, just keep in mind that in hand salary shd not be below 80-85 percent of CTC. Negotiate only on the In hand salary.
But it can be much lower if they have high PF deduction.

for instance, if someone has a pay of 24lpa CTC. what do you expect his monthly pay would be ?
@@harshitheya its all in the details. 24 lpa can come around 1.5 lpa. It can vary depending on the details of salary bifurcation and variable pay

Sir, our company is under NCALT process. Last 5 month's employees salary not paid. So we would like to know is there any provision for interim finance to pay salary ? Without salary it is very tough time for employees to meet day to day expenses.
