Lisitsa does many repetitions with a different touch or hard voicing then a softer touch or espressivo .Ashkenazy is very special. Geniusas has some fantastic ideas too . Even though Chopin doesn't write long durations there the thumbs bring it out usually . Cherkassky he makes a duet with upper voices and left hand ! . Bunin is wonderful voicing in the left hand along with pedaling . I love how Berezovsky can make part of a phrase hot or cold .He has so much variety of mood in the textures

My number 1 interpretation for this piece is Ashkenazy, very uplifting and authentic. Close second is Lilista, her touch was sparkling, light and clear and the tempo was spot on. I also liked Geniušas’ performance for his tenderness and musicality, and Fujiko Hemming for her unique touch and connection of sounds yet creating an integral musical world of her own. Thank you for this post, it really motivated me to try practicing 😊
