A bit late to the party...but Drew Zingg is by far the best kept secret in the guitar community. And this under the radar recording is a testament to his remarkable playing. Thank You Mr Ringo for sharing this with the world.
The dynamic / organic tone, feel, unpredictability and vocabulary is unmatched. Todays guitar shredders can only marvel at his playing. I still dont understand why He did not establish himself as the Steely Dan guitarist after the 93-94 tours...this is steely dans loss in my book.

I worked with Buzz Feiten on a few projects. I designed them just to get him to solo. Check out the book/CD Blues by the Bar. I had Buzz take several blues solos starting out simple and getting more complex as he went along. If you are a BF fan you'll find some sweet soloing not heard on any record.

I took that picture of Drew at Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas in 2006 at a Donald Fagen concert. I sent it to him on Facebook.

Monmouth College Fight Song! I loved when Robben Ford used to play like this. So glad there's Drew to pick up where Robben left to play the blues.

The 2nd song is a tune that the band Full Moon used to play live. My copy has Dave Sanborn sitting in.

I read an interview of Drew's some years ago where he noted Buzz Feiten as an important influence. I admit that when I first heard Pretzel Logic on Donald Fagan's New York Rock and Soul Review I got very excited because I thought Buzz was playing with Steely Dan! Drew does have his own musical "voice" and he quickly became one of my favorite guitarists.

@@livemusicssessionsnyc2393 Awesome work on the recordings! I'm a huge fan of Drew's playing. I know this is probably a long shot since it was so long ago, but have you transferred everything to digital so the multitracks are available? It would be quite a thing to be able to mix this nowadays!
