  • Alright! Here’s your part two video, let’s hear it run and see it move! Overall I’m thoroughly impressed with how well this truck is doing. I think once cleaned up with the Right set of wheels she will find her new home easily ! Thank you all for watching!

That's a keeper Jay. A little elbow grease and a good fluids change and its road ready. Don't scrap it just drive it.If you was here in SW Missouri I would give you a good 350 Vortec for the 66 C-10. Just so that GMC wouldn't be touched.

A nice and simple truck from an era when GM was building solid, decent trucks. Looks to be a very simple 1/2 ton equipped with the ubiquitous Chevy 350 small block in its original blue paint (I believe Chevy engines were originally painted orange up until and including 1976 as the last model year) backed by what I guess would be the turbo hydromatic 350 three speed automatic with A/C delete.EDIT: Amazing video quality. I had just watched part of the video when I posted this. But now watching the end of the video, I could the infamous "Chevy whine" as I used to call it, when you accelerated from a stop near the end of the video. That whine sound from the transmission was very distinct, and one I was very familiar with from childhood growing up, and by hearing (without seeing) I knew would coming from a GM vehicle equipped with that transmission.

That’s one hell of a solid, good-running truck. You should see if Granger Smith (Earl Dibbles) would be interested in buying since he’s already in the middle of restoring a 1974 GMC truck with a straight 6 and a 3 on the tree. This truck would look great parked next to the ‘74.

I would swap out the gauge cluster for one that actually has gauge's instead of dummy lights i think the camper special's had the full gauges along with the factory tach also the turn signal indicator on means you have a bulb burnt out in either the front or the back turn signal on the left side.
