- The BATMAN Script or rather the Story of What Ben Affleck's Batman Movie would have gone like. A Detective, Psychological, Horror thriller Movie that tries to Destroy the very Fabric of Who Batman is and What He Stands for. Written by Ben Affleck and Dc Comics Legend Geoff Johns, The Batman would have featured Deathstroke systemically destroying Batman & Bruce Wayne. His Friends, Allies, Wealth & Weapons. Slade would become a Horror Movie Shark and Popular Batman characters would Die. Leading to a final Battle Between Bruce & Slade at the climax of Film. It would have also introduced Batgirl into the DCEU a character close to Dick Grayson. Batman's Dead Sidekick.
The Following Video contains detailed accounts of The BATMAN Script by Ben Affleck, though is not the Final Draft of the Film. This movie was axed by Warner Bros and become Matt Reeves the Batman. Ben Affleck's Last Starring Role will be Opposite Ezra Miller & Keaton in The Flash 2022. Any similarities to 2022's The Batman Movie is a coincidence as I've Not seen Robert Pattinsons new Batman Movie.

@@anons000 There weren't any Batfleck movies. There were movies WITH Batfleck, hut there were no Batfleck movies. There us a difference.
However, the only objectively bad movie with Batfleck is the theatrical cut of Justice League. ZSJL is really good, and Ben is good in that (though his fight scenes are a little lackluster compared to what he did in BvS).
BvS is probably the inly one that can really be debated, as it's probably about 50/50 in terms of who does and does not like it. Either way, if you like it or not, it doesn't automatically make his version of Batman terrible.

I don’t think Batman would want the league to help even if he could contact them. Gotham is his territory and responsibility and wouldn’t want Superman or anyone else to interfere or finish his war for him
You're right and it's even made mention in the comics as well. I forgot what comic it was when Batman actually enlisted assistance from members of the Justice League into Gotham and they were caught off guard as well by that lol. I honestly blame BvS for having Gotham and Metropolis so close to each. Of course this was for convenience of the movie.

@@lucasironside9911 Move on now before you get your hopes too high, which it seems you have. The merger will not do a thing. He said that after The Flash, HE IS DONE!!! He wants to focus on original IPs and nothing else. Affleck is done and Snyder is done. And it's likely Cavill is done.

It’s so upsetting to hear what Ben Affleck had to spend through these past at least 4-5 years. This would’ve been an amazing movie if in the right hands and it sounds like it was in good hands for a long while but sadly won’t get the attention it deserves and just hearing this sound so pure that Ben Affleck has been a fan and was inspired by the animated series and the Arkham games And he did this for his son and with this being a rejected/canceled project and him no longer being batman whether he left or was fired And everything else that he was going through was devastating. I honestly hope with the Snyder cut doing so well and finally getting it’s limelight Ben Affleck as Batman movie deserves that same limelight too. I’m very excited and looking forward to Matt Reeves Batman movie but if we can have two different justice league movies à la 2017’s Justice league and Zack Snyders Justice league we most DEFINITELY should Have two different Batman movies à la Matt reeves Batman and Ben Affleck’s Batman, Ben’s Script should get the Snyder cut treatment and get a Hbo Max Release and DVD Release. Let’s me this happen and let’s Champion this script.

If Ben Affleck’s Batman film was anything like this, it would have been the best Batman film of all time! It’s a shame that WB lost faith in all of these incredible storytellers. If this ever happens on HBO Max I will say that I think it should be a series since it covers a lot of ground that imo can’t be covered in a 2hr-3hr film.
Let’s be realistic now. Nearly every dceu film has been shitty. There’s a 97 percent chance it would’ve as well
I think it could cover that runtime, don’t forget the latest draft wouldve still had improvisations and cuts during the filming/editing process.

Idk how much credit should be given to Geoff Johns considering Ben wanted him off the movie cause he kept going in behind Ben’s back to the studio to put things in the film he wanted that Ben didn’t. And also the fact that Ben leaked the Deathstroke suit tests screening on his Twitter and Instagram and then turned him phone off and got on a Plane so he wouldn’t have to hear Geoff Johns and the other staff at WB complain to him.
Since Snyder decided that Affleck's batman would kill its interesting to see a movie about the consequences of that decision. We always see criticism about the no kill rule but we never see the other side of that coin. Having Batman kill Deathstroke's son which causes Slade to seek revenge and kill Gordon and Alfred is an interesting concept. It shows how having a superhero kill can actually lead to more death and destruction. It reminds me of Gordon's speech about escalation from Batman Begins.
Yea, it's never been explored that well. Every time Batman starts killing, we end up with crazy psycho Batman who laughs version. Villains like Scarecrow, Riddler, Joker might become even more extreme if they expect Bats to kill them upon capture.
@@nielsfrederiksen6636 The villains would be pushed to desperation and become more dangerous. No more going back to Arkham and plotting the next scheme. It would be a all or nothing fight for survival. I also think that Batman killing Deathstroke's son and the Joker killing Robin would create an interesting dynamic between Batman and Deathstroke.

In my opinion in a real world scenario a guy like batman would definitely need high calibre machineguns on his batmobile and batwing otherwise he would be dead on day one, he is waging war on crime and fighting guys who themselves are using dangerous weapons against him what is he gonna do? Keep dodging bullets? Lol then people will say oh it's unnatural how can batman dodge bullets?, people are never satisfied they unnecessarily hate ben Affleck's batman and guys like hitop films and cosmonaut wants story to fit their own narrative and nothing else they have established an image of Batman in their mind who can't kill but in real world batman can't survive if he is not like batfleck.

This sounds awesome I personally liked Ben Afflecks Batman I felt like he fit the character and this script just makes me wish we got to see more of him and I'm still hoping we do get to see that sometime in the future.
Wow !! what an amazing sounding story! I had heard vague descriptions of this script but never elaborated on with this much detail and this must’ve been devastating for Afleck and John’s and it really does sound like some aspects of this story are being used for this next Batman movie but in general I think that movie will be will be great on its own, mostly because of Reeves and Pattinson , but the similarities are way too coincidental. I think that this story here that you’re discussing today was clearly an amazing opportunity. One that only God & WB themselves knows why they passed on it

It's something a little different, and i'm looking forward to seeing more of the detective side of Bruce. Which I think will work better with the Riddler as the Villain than it would have with Slade. Sounds a lot like The Batman by Matt reeves. The noir and dark tone, psychological aspect of batman, serial killer aspect, personal for bruce himself and batgirl kinda gets replaced by catwoman. I think that both scriots are great. The new one is with a younger batman and a different gotham. This would have been with an older frank miller's batman.
I still want the Snyderverse to be completed, but at this point, I just want great Batman movies. I don’t even care all that much if it’s connected to anything.
This movie would of enhanced bvs and justice league's Batman to a whole other level. Im heartbroken to see this not make it into production. I just hope one of two things. Either they give this to zack and let him do this as an hbo max mini series or movie, or they at least make it into a comic in the sniderverse universe. It sounds like a super good story just wasted in WB.

Regarding the Justice League, the film could begin with a scene of a massive earthquake/tsunami in Guam on the news. Victor calls Bruce and tells him that he, Barry, Diana, and Clark are going to help save people and do damage control. Arthur, of course, is too busy ruling Atlantis. Bruce decides not to go because he has business to attend to in Gotham. Victor tells Bruce they'll be gone for about a week and will be too busy to check the news that much. Bruce quips that he can survive one small week on his own. After the Justice League leave, Deathstroke finds out about their mission to Guam and decides now is the time to strike -- when all of Batman's friends are away.
During the movie, Bruce reaches out to General Swanwick, the Martian Manhunter. However, Swanwick reveals that ever since he left Mars, he's had a pathogen in his body (from his evil brother Malefic) that blocks his powers. If he uses his powers for more than 10 minutes at a time, he gets severely sick. For centuries, he's been looking for a cure, but eventually decided he'd rather just blend in, so he stopped looking. But ever since the Kryptonians invaded, he began his research again. Swanwick doesn't want to publicly "come out" and join the Justice League until he finds a cure for himself and gets his powers under control. And he has military duties he can't neglect at the moment, so he is unable to help Bruce for those reasons. And Bruce doesn't reach out to Waller because he doesn't trust her.
Then at the end of the film, the League returns and they all help him pick up the pieces. Clark vows to help Bruce, as he got Martha's house out of foreclosure. Barry says Bruce is welcome to crash at his bunker where they met anytime. Victor uses his tech powers to restore Bruce's wealth. The League affirms that Bruce is not alone, and they remind him that he's the one who brought them all together. He still has a family.

I would've liked to see it, but I would've been severely soured on the movie if it was Batgirl who saves Batman.
I personally and am little bit disappointed that we never get this but I'm very excited for The Batman we are getting.

Also I would only want this to be animated if WB's animation goes all out for it. Like under the red hood or TDKR animation, get ben affleck and the rest of the cast for voice work, have jay olivia direct but affleck and johns can be consultants on it. 2 parter if necessary. Spare no expense. Otherwise the comic/graphic novel route would be the best alternative I think. Same for snyder's other justice league movies.

Sounds good for the most part but the plothole pertaining to Supernan not able to be on site in spite of the cities bein across the river from each other, his position as a reporter & super hearing; & character fates bein opened for retcon make for an edit after a screening to determine bout what degree of damage control might be needed; make for reasons why it would need more development time.

It honestly sounds like a great film but seeing how much WB was spooked by BatmanvSuperman's bleak tone, I see why they really didn't want to continue that type of grim tone with Affleck's Batman. It would be nice to see it adapted into an audio story or a comic book even. Seems like a waste to leave the script collecting dust.

Even though I think Matt Reeves' The Batman has the potential to blow what this could've been out of the water, I'd love to see this as a comic book or animated film on HBO Max someday.
Such a shame, what I wouldn't give to see this movie happen in someway, everyone had such potential I always liked Affleck as batman and Joe in the few appearances that he had as deathstroke was absolutely awesome, I love how the new the batman movie looks but I think I would have rather seen this masterpiece
I get r-rated movies are a risk but Batman is basically the biggest superhero ever and this would have been fantastic. Ben was great in Zack Snyder’s Justice League and seeing his own Batman franchise plus being in Zack’s sequels would have been a dream come true. WB sucks for this. I’m exited for The Batman but it’s such a shame this movie was scrapped. Not only is Ben’s movie scrapped but also it seems like now WB is getting rid of Batman altogether in the DCEU with replacing Ben with Keaton and the just making Keaton not even be active and just become a guy in the chair and Batgirl is replacing Bruce in the league.
