It was a brave attempt to fly up the Chimney stack, there are probably as you say air currents swirling about up there which is what chimneys are designed for, reckon it would not be easy even for a pro FPV to clear up through that it was also very dark - brave effort and good on you for replacing his drone he looked so sad. LOL.
Sir Ken..that was awesome. St Louis has it’s own Chernobyl. I was scared for you when you were flying the FPV through the that dust tunnel. Nice gesture to buy him that Air 2. Fun upload. Thanks

@@charityking9197 hard to tell. In terms of guards, I didn’t see any I don’t think. There was a well lit road and a locked fence that could be used for patrols on one end of the property. We heard voices but they sounded like teens. Speaking of, we actually ran into another group of kids on our way out who got in the same way we did. Even then, I’d say we got pretty lucky. As every other story I read mentions somebody getting caught or somebody who knows someone who got caught. Now in terms of cameras and alarms, we did actually run into a few. We heard an odd beeping sounds coming from what looked to be an old camper atop a hill when we approached it. We heard this same beeping followed by an alarm coming from a warehouse we had left several minutes ago. It shut itself off. In the night, we could see a couple spots where there seemed to be night vision cameras set up. But nothing came of it. But with all that said, it’s important you take in to consideration the real threats. There will be other people there. No matter when you go. And it’s in north city, just by the river. The odds of them being dangerous are uncomfortably high.
I thought you were going to say. “Well you see officer, I’m from Tennessee and well, um, I didn’t see, let alone could read the no trespassing sign.” Just play stupid, it seems to work. Fascinating and fun video though.
Wow, that was a good attempt. I have a couple of drones, never flown fpv, but learning about the wind draft at the top of the stack is some good science to know when flying your drone threw obstacle's similar to that stack.
@@KenHeron You know what would really be trippy? Have a drone made that looks like the drone in Terminator 3 at the 1hr20min mark, and fly that around....kind of what this hallway part reminded me of.

Never nice seeing an expensive drone come crashing to the floor and smash to pieces like that…made me wince 😣 Great..great footage captured that day, especially the skilled flying inside and churning up that toxic dust! Good on the Cop 👮♀️ for being alright in the end and helping out shift that obstacle. Just proves, being nice, polite and courteous can make a bad situation a whole lot better! By far the best upload I’ve watched in a while 👏👏👏👏

Poor guy, he was such a good sport about loosing his drone. I can't believe you didn't upgrade it to the Air 2S just for being so cool about. My drones have a soul so loosing mine would be like loosing a friend lol
great exploring, i'm sure the tower is easy to dive .. its really big, even if you just go up in it like with the mavic, it's pretty hard to hit anything.

Im glad you two had not been injured. Yes you were on private property, but if you had hurt yourself and needed EMS and they could not get to you bc that pole placed there by a government official vehicle. Id say you got a good lawsuit on the town for that little stunt. Im glad u showed this video and place. I been to citymuseum with my sons when they were gradeschool age it was incredible. Time to go back again. Next time u come to Chicago i know of great FPV drone places you might loooove. Let me know. Look up C.T.C. No. 1 on a map in the Port of Chicago area. Ken should have used psychology on the cop. What ken should have done is to quickly strip naked and run in a big circle screaming like a banshee waving his arms over his head. The cop would have been so alarmed he himself would have moved the telephone pole just to get that manic (Ken) out of there. There's never a dull moment with Ken. (What a character). He's always fun to watch.

Great location, makes me want to fly fpv!!! Did you not think that a gps drone would not get a gps signal in there? What happened? Once it was out of the lower section, where it could see, it had no gps, and climbed into the dark bit, with no gps, and went caca.

I know it is a great video when I get motion sickness during the FPV portions. Yes, that is a real thing. I really want to see you (or someone) fly a drone up the smokestack. Was probably the low light conditions that turned off or made the obstacle avoidance less able.
