I have seen people fail to realize, the gun that was actually broken was Senna's gun before Thresh took her. The breaking of Senna's gun is a cool development showing she does not need it anymore, she has a new toy. Wow very cool riot.

you can clearly notice that when his 1st shot hits the lantern he realised "ooh i have to shoot there, she is in there", then he proceeds to only aim at the lantern for the rest pf the fight, and thresh notices, foreseen his movements and using the lantern as bait he manages to hook him.
