  • It's cold...the weather took a turn for the worse and I took a trip down to the garage again! I wanted to play the tuba part as well on my helicon, but I figured 3-4 hours in the garage was enough for today. The recording is not at the original tempo, it's at 90%. I couldn't get my cold fingers to play at the right tempo down there. Anyway, this is just another example of how an ophicleide could be used in a modern wind ensemble. Why not? I mean...I like it.

    I honestly like the ophicleide more than the euph lol. might be my favorite brass instrument
