Hello Sewmates, Thank you stopping by today and for clicking on this video. It is greatly appreciated. We hit 1k, isn’t it amazing 🤩. Thank you, today am sending all 1050 of you loads of love 💕 and kisses 😘
Your instructions were helpful and easy to understand. I liked how you included finishing touches such as serging raw edges and top stitching. I will be marking my waist elastic from now on, brilliant tip! After watching your video, I made myself a skirt and it looks great. So feminine. Thank you.
Lol. Thank you, I was hinting to you in a video but I realize you were not understanding. Thank you so much Daisy for the love and support throughout this journey. You were my first CZcams bestie
Thank you comfort you have been there for me I can’t wait to celebrate 🎉 with you when your time comes. Keep going my sister, the Lord will perfect that which concerns you. In Jesus name
Super clear but if you had waited to sew the tiers in circles and basted them first much simpler to check the size is correct to attach to the one above
@@TaylorMadeDesignsSewing you are welcome. Love the fact you got your watch hour and 1000 subscriber at the same time. If I may ask did you apply for the advert.
Thank you! What type of fabric did you use--rayon?? It seams to drape better than quilting cotton. Could I use quilting cotton? Would knits stretch too much? I like the three layers rather than four and using one print or 3 prints makes it fun. Seems wr could calculate how wide the last band is and buy that amount. Then rip the tiers lengthwise. If it is 44" width of fabric, you could get a rather long skirt.
Hi sewmate, it is actually cotton. Yes you could use quilting cotton. You can make any amount of layers you desire just divide it up using your length. Correct, you can make the calculations before your purchase! Tag me on instagram when you make yours ok
You are inspiring and helpful. Thank you so much! I am heading to the fabric store today… my only question is, how do I know how much fabric to purchase? It seems like a lot of fabric…. My measurements are very similar to yours. How many yards of fabric did you use? Thank you SO much for any help!
@@TaylorMadeDesignsSewing THANK YOU so much for taking the time to help out a stranger today. I know life is busy, and I appreciate it. I can’t thank you enough! XO!! God bless!
Hey Mel. I was wondering why I didn’t get your notifications. Didn’t know my kids had unsubscribed while using my phone to watch nursery rhymes. 😭 Yaaay!! We made it to 1k subs. 😁🍾🎉🎊💕💃🏻 Congratulations, Mel. I’m so happy for you. 🍾💃🏻 🎊 And thanks for this great tutorial. 🥰
The fabric depend on your size and how much fullness you want. It also depends on the length and if the fabric is by 60 inch wide or 45. If you are about my size you could do three yards
Depending on how full u want the grill to be. U could do two times the initial measurements . Then you gather the material to fit the original measurements
@@abriayates4189 you have two option. You could put your sewing machine to the longest stitch length and the looses stitch and just run a basting stitch and carefully pull on it or you could use your needle and thread. Check out my video on how to make a gathered skirt it will help you
Cut the first pieces using a circle . Divide your waist into two and divide that number by 6.28. Cut two pieces and join. Then you find the circumference of the bottom and double it or triple if that the amount of volume you want. This method will make it very full though
With this mathematical equation work for everyone? Meaning can I take my waist measurement and multiply it by 1.5 and come up with a skirt that will fit me? I’m plus size and I want to make sure the equation is for everyone.

Hey girlie, i'm learning to sew & i want to try to this skirt for my first piece. What's the type of cloth you used?
I used cotton…. That’s wonderful to hear

How do I make this as a double circle skirt but like this?
Cut the first pieces using a circle . Divide your waist into two and divide that number by 6.28. Cut two pieces and join. Then you find the circumference of the bottom and double it or triple if that the amount of volume you want. This method will make it very full though
