    Just a heads up to anyone removing the stereo.
    At 1:53 they mention the two phillips head screws need to be removed to get the stereo out, BUT what they forget to mention is there's a bolt holding the back of stereo to a plastic bracket. You have to poke your head in the space where the glove box used to be to be able to see it. Will probably need a socket with extension to get to it.
    If you can't remove the stereo by yanking on it with a bit of force then you'll probably need to undo that bolt to get it free.
    Have accidentally ripped out the plastic bracket holding that bolt down but wont need it with the aftermarket stereo. Was working on a 2012 Mazda 2.

    Heads up for those with a manual gear change car, when the gear change housing is being removed you will need to unscrew the gear change knob in order to get the plastic housing to fully come off the gear change control system. Great presentation guys.

      Hi guys, I just purchased the model for the 2013 Mazda 2 with steering wheel controls. At this stage the steering wheel controls aren’t working and it looks like a lot of fiddling around, potentially stripping and crimping wires to make them work.

    • @cinnyquil
      @cinnyquil Před rokem

      If you have steering wheel buttons, you will need to puchase a harness for that specifically. It includes more wiring and fiddling around but it's absolutely possible. If you look it up or are purchasing a kit you'll see that usually they'll have 2 options of harnesses, one being ISO (not connected to buttons on car or for cars without steering wheel controls) and a steering wheel harness. You'd have to choose the latter. There's a price difference in the two harnesses usually around $100. Hope that helps.

      @@Tasos_ar If you have steering wheel buttons, you will need to puchase a harness for that specifically.

    At T'eyes I can purchase a much better system - 3G ram, 32G storage, 8core processor QLED screen, for less ($444.26). Your system only offers 1G ram, 16G storage and its more expensive ($489)

    Thanks for the awesome tutorial. Can you send these units to Canada? and what if it has any issues? is there any warranty or return policy?
