Starry Nightcore actually the end is a bit ambiguous. The hand could mean that she regretted her actions, thus having her willingness to live (hand) grabbing her but it's too late, or it's someone's hand that saved her.

I believe "My R" stands for My Reason. All these girls are past versions of herself, but they all convinced themselves not to jump. Finally, at the end, she ran out of reasons to not jump. Hence the title, my reason. (If you want to understand the story more, I suggest to watch the music video.)

My theory about this song is that each of those girls were her. At the end, she describes her braided hair, her short stature, and her yellow cardigan, which is how she referred to the girls on the separate days. It was her telling herself not to jump, and I think it's a metaphor on how by helping other people, you'll somehow help yourself and come to terms with what caused you to suicidal thoughts in the first place.

Lemme explain... This girl she has been getting robbed, her boyfriend broke up with her, her family abuses her, and no one likes her. The first girl had her boyfriend break up with her she had red hair in braids, so she went to jump. But the girl told don't do it there are worst things like getting robbed. The next girl has been robbed and no one likes her, she is small for her age. The girls stops that girl and says there is worst things that can happen like being abused. Then after her another girl is at the place to jump she has a yellow cardigan, she was gonna jump because she was abused. At the end you hear "taking off my yellow cardigan" aka 3rd girl. "watching my braids come undone" 1st girl had braid. "this small girl small as can be" the 2nd girl was small. The 3 girls are just herself trying to save herself. She has had her heart broken, no one likes her and steals from her, and her family abuses her. Another thing she is small, has red hair in braids, and has a yellow cardigan.

No, she didn't bump into other people. The "other people" were all parts of herself. Like in the end she says, "Taking of my yellow cardigan" as in the girl who had the yellow cardigan. "Watching my braids come un-done" as in the girl with the braids. "This petite girl short as can be" as in the small girl. Also, they never walked away. If you watch the original animatic by the real person, when it says disappeared, the animatic shows them jumping. 1 LAST THING. I got really pissed when she said "Thats not a reason." It can be a reason. Stupid reasons to you, can be something much more to the actual person.

I agree that jumping off the roof is not the answer. If I were going to commit suicide, I think I'd do some research into sedatives and OD on one that had relatively peaceful (until death) consequences for ODing.

Alright, there are other ways to help like hotlines if you’re contemplating suicide and trying to come out of your comfort zone to find new friends and try and trust people. I have trust issues yet I still found great friends. There are places like Discord too where I made amazing friends whom I love to vent to.
I’m not the best at this stuff because I’m trying to help myself and it’s hard but that’s my advice. I’m sorry if it’s not very good haha. I would’ve been better if I found a way to help myself. Anyways, I hope everything is well and dandy 🗿
*THIS IS AN EXPLANATION FOR ANYONE WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND!!!*
Each girl our MC encounters on the rooftop is a previous version of herself. Her keeping them from jumping symbolizes her inner conversations she had to talk herself out of it. When the other girls jump, it means that MC was able to let those conflicts go and not go through with it. The girl with the yellow cardigan didn't jump, she walked away, meaning the inner conflicts MC was having at that time was not resolved, just repressed. When MC is finally alone at the end in the moment she really can't think of any reasons to stop herself from jumping. But then, just as she jumps, you see a hand reaching out. This is again herself, realizing just as she jumped that she didn't want to die.
What 'My R' stands for is up for interpretation, and can mean many different things depending on the person. It could means 'My Reason' 'My Resolve', or whatever you interpret it to be.
I love Rachie and especially this song! That last line: "Taking off my yellow cardigan, watching my braids all come undone, this petite girl short as can be, is gonna jump now and be free" that line never fails to give me litteral chills!
Each person she stopped was a representation of herself and each person had a reason to turn to suicide and she was talking them out of it and telling them not to turn to suicide that she or they shouldn't die and so she got over it ,but in the end the last girl she was talking to she could not save(she couldn't find a reason to live anymore) so she died.

GIRLIE I JUST REMEMBERED ABOUT THIS REACTION. there's actually more to this story than intially thought. in the end, the girl that jumped was saved from the observer from "The Diary of Underage Youth", but it's actually a series!! i definitely reccomend in going through the journey
All those other people I think they were actually herself they were just a little different story but they were all a little pieces of her and what she was going through. She could stop them but she couldn't stop herself.
Every time I hear this song I break out in tears and start appreciating how my life even if I think my life is terrible some people have it much worse than me .

She had a great heart and helped others and had convincing lines to not jump. she never wanted to die or jump but nothing ever worked so she went ahead and jumped
Each of the girls were the same girl, and the ones that jumped off were sort of like her letting go of the pain that she experienced. She told herself each time that it could be worse, but at the end, when the girl in yellow was there, she couldn't handle the pain. When the girl in yellow walked away, she didn't let it go and so the next time she went to the rooftop, she jumped and killed herself for real.
Oh I interpreted it as she was coming to terms with her life after the yellow cardigan girl was the latest reason to jump and she’s dealing with abuse so after she comes to terms with it. The next days she finds nobody there to stop her or no more regrets she holds. So she jumps.

There is many hints, but the biggest one is at the end when she says "taking off my yellow cardigan, watching my braids all come undone, this petite girl short as can be, is gonna jump now and be free." The three girls that she encountered were all wearing one of the features that she had said about herself. The whole time she was trying to convince herself not to jump, but in the end she convinced herself that she had a good enough reason to.
