[Chorus]
I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell
You the difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love
“Where were you when they built that ladder to heaven..”
Pov: you're here because of south park...
My grandfather died in the north tower of the World Trade Center. And it haves gave me the passion and strength to become a firefighter at the age of 20 years old. I will never forget ❤️❤️❤️
thumbs up if South Park brought you here
R.I.P Kenny keep building that ladder
"did it make you fell like crying or did you think it was kind of gay"
Standing in my chiefs office, watching WTVD. When the second plane hit, he hit the alarm, and woke up the whole crew. 2 hours later, we were on a plane bound for McGuire AFB. From there, it was only a short hop to Manhattan, and hell on earth. I still cough up small black balls when I get winded, but I'd do it again in a heart beat. Doesn't seem like 20 years has passed. Hell, I'm not that old am I. Yeah, I guess I am. I hope they replay the video, just so the kids today can see what we get so upset about. They need to remember this day, and the people who we lost. Never forget December 7th, or September 11th. Days that changed the world.
My aunt died in the North Tower 20 years later my heart is still heavy and broken for everyone.. Rest In Peace everyone...
19 years ago today, god bless and NEVER FORGET!
Let's remember the people of 9/11 today.
Well I for one believe in the ladder to heaven.
Where were you when they built that🪜to heaven ☁️
Those deaths still hurt us, that September 11. My solidarity with those who still suffer from these terrible losses. Greetings from Colombia, American brothers.
Am a Ugandan I was six years. Today in history we pray for the people who lost their lives. Rip innocent Americans
Ladder to heaven.
Here on September 11th 2022, the world has changed so much since this catastrophic day. So many American lives were lost. It was however a day of National Unity, I was in a classroom in the 9th grade. Among fellow Americans of every race and religious belief. Nothing mattered except our American pride. I miss the days of unity. God bless the men and women who lost their lives, and to the ones who are still protecting our freedom.
Alan Jackson is a gifted songwriter. Thank you Alan Jackson for this beautiful song. 21 years ago today something happened that none of us ever expected. At that time I was in my 4-wheel-driving-car on my way to the end of the day and heard it on the radio (with a time difference). I was still in training at the time. And I was in shock right away and almost caused another accident.... It was always my dream to fly to America one day, to see this great country and to be at the top of the WTC. That dream shattered then. Since that day I pray every year on 9/11 for the dead, their bereaved, the heroes and the soldiers. ... My name is Daniel Hertrampf, I am 41 years old and German. I live in a small village in southern Bavaria and have been a big fan of American country music and southern rock since I was young. As well as America itself.. God bless America and the rest of the world so that something terrible like this never happens again.
I was a teacher, giving a student a Make-Up test out in the hallway at school! A teacher ran down the hallway screaming "Turn your TV's on"! We had over 400 kids and the only sounds were kids crying! I will NEVER forget that day! God Bless you all, we will make it back!
18 years of service for fire department for new York.. I still have that day imprinted in my memory .. 363, brothers n sisters lost that day in first responder... I still pray for all victim of that day....
I remember it all like it was yesterday. I'll never think about that day without feeling that ache, or without tears. My heart has never stopped hurting for all those we lost. Especially those I called friends. May they, and all the soldiers and civilians who died in the war after that rest in peace.
