Hey lovelies!
In this weeks video, I take you along with me to the Goodwill and a local antique shop to see what we can score for the home. I take you through the store in the beginning showing you what mid-century pieces and decor items look like and what to look for when things are perfectly hidden on the shelves. I had no idea what I was in for this day.. I normally get lucky thrifting but this day was beyond...my cart was loaded at both stores with treasures! My personal style is to collect mid-century and minimalistic style home decor pieces and I found just that!

I like using glass plates as salad plates, and putting s pressed flower underneath, or a name card.

I like shopping at good will cuz you can and will come across old treasures and sometimes memories of your younger days
Those etched glasses are probably dessert cups - typically used to serve sherbet or sorbet
Most likely sorbets or sherbet cups for sure . In formal meals you would be served a sorbet between courses to cleans the palate.

Grew up with that white metal lamp in the 90's -- perfect for a kid's night table with the touch on/off feature! :)

Those glass plates are $1 each, everyday at the Dollar Tree, if you have one in your area. They look EXACTLY like the ones at Crate & Barrel. Good dupe!
Those lovely engraved cups are dessert/sherbet cups. I still have my grandparents and they were heavily into mid-century modern.
I thought they looked like footed dessert dishes myself. We had something similar that we used for ice cream, puddings, apple brown betty, etc.

I've just started watching you and find your hauls to be so much fun! I absolutely love your DIYs!! You are very talented. That marble tray, which I would call a trivet, can be used to hold a hot pot or round casserole from your stove, so you don't have to put anything on it, just display it!

Total score with the lamp. The 3 legged vase would look so cool with a under water plant, you can get at pet store with cool rock. I love your style. I collect teak. People dont know that there are endangered woods, like animals and teak is on list. Teak is always a good find

Cordial glasses are much smaller than the ones you purchased. The ones you picked up are probably sherbet/sorbet dishes. Beautiful!
