  • Graduation is around the corner and I'm excited to teach y'all how to make a two-colored ribbon lei. These make great gifts for any graduate because they brighten up any photo and are easy to make. You may purchase ribbons at many locations including Dollar Tree, Walmart, Michaels, or Joann's Linen. I purchased mine at Dollar Tree because it was the cheapest place I could find the ribbons for. If you decide to go to Michaels or Joann's, make sure you take advantage of coupons that they always have! Anyway, good luck and have fun making the leis.

      lovingirl0077 Satin Ribbon looks the prettiest! I bought 5/7” thickness but you can do thicker if you want the lei to really stand out. The length was 6 yards each color and the lei ends up being 1.5 yards long which is a good length for any adult. You can buy the ribbon at dollar tree for $1 or Michaels craft store.

    • @cindylin2474
      @cindylin2474  Před 5 lety

      Brandon Sugiura Hi Brandon! The texture and thickness of the ribbon will definitely play a part in how easy it is to make the lei but it compromises how the lei looks. Most graduation leis are made with satin ribbon because it’s more elegant looking. However, the material is not stiff at all which makes it slightly harder to make the lei.
