    Well...
    You're a best master of the 4D56 i ever met. Your explanation makes sense, including quote " Don't be too bookish ".I agree with you coz when " Time goes by people change " It's very similar with " Time goes by, engines change "

    Hats off from Indonesia.. 🙏

    Great video and thanks for the tips. When my injector pump seals went I had to remove it myself and have it professionally reconditioned. When I put it back I remembered timing it just with hand adjustment. I had no idea about the technical way until now!! The injectors and pump recon cost me $1600 Australian but it would have cost thousands more if done by a mechanic. Still going strong 5 years later although it could do with a tune! Thanks brother, God bless you🙏🙏

      @MrDIYer  Před 3 lety +4

      Thats expensive. Actually, as far as im concern, theres really nothing wrong with simply twisting the pump and just have a feel for how the engine runs. I intend to do a video about it too. Like ive said in this video. Dont be too bookish about tune ups. I figured id just show this process because almost all the 4d56 tune ups i see are mainly focus only on the valve clearance. Thank you too.

    You replied quickly to my comment about accessing the crankshaft from beneath. I had deleted it because as the video progressed, I saw that you could do MUCH MORE with the fan and timing cover out of the way. Those ATDC degree points are only visible under the cover, for example. Again, Great video. Very informative.

    Amazing knowledge sir. I just did a top overhaul to my WLT. the problem previously was a broken intake valve. I searched googe and valve clearance was said to be from .005 to .015 intake and .015 to 0.25 exhaust. I did .008 8ntake and .020 exhaust but it did not want to run. I readjusted to .015 and .025 and it ran. But now it sounds like a jeepney when accelerating, smoking white, and lower power, and hard starting. I need to spray carb cleaner in the intake for it to start. I did a perfect TDC timing on crank pulley, cam gear, and injection pump. But i think i should try the i tooth advance in the injection pump in the other video i showed and that dial gauge for the injection pump.

    Sir, thank you for this highly educational video. May I know the effect of having a .25mm valve clearance for the 4d56 engine performance? My mechanic insisted this clearance instead of the .15mm clearance in the manual. The engine was warm/hot when they adjusted the valves. The manual says .15mm cold.
