SANGAMUWA RAJA MAHA VIHARAYA(CAVE TEMPLE) GOKARELLA, KURUNEGALA, SRI LANKA,
Sangamuwa raja maha viharaya(cave temple) is situated about 3km away from Gokarella town kurunegala district in Sri lanka.The history of this place goes back to the third century BC. The temple area is surrounded by rocks,forests, drip ledges caves ponds,lakes,paddy fields and mountains.
The world's first and the only peace accord inscribed on a rock can be seen at Sangamuwa temple.
Nice calm and beautiful place to visit.
