    Good video. FYI, the unparking and parking of the pendant to enable arm power in manual mode only works until about system software version s7.3, at which point the dead man switch on the back of the pendant must be held anytime the arm is powered while in manual mode.

      Thank for this comment. Have new robot and could not readily find info in manufacturer's docs about this. I'll stop scratching my head now. I wonder why this feature was retired - safety?

    Hello, I have a question to the use of this sp1 teach pendant for the staubli tx40:
    How could I home the roboter? So that it will goto homing position? Is there a button, option for that?
    I was trying a lot with the pendant, but I didn't find a homing option...
    Anyone how know, please help me ;)

      The Staubli robot does not require homing since it uses an absolute encoder system that allows the robot arm to always know its position. To calibrate the robot you must line up the arm to point straight up using the alignment lines over each joint.

      This is too much to explain using comments. I recommend Googling "Staubli Robot Alignment". The process is also included in Staubli's robot manual.

      Dorian McIntire, my problem is that the chef has lost the manual. I searched in internet, but I didn't find anything which explains something about alignment (lines), and how to do so with the sp1. You seem to be my only help here... (Sorry for my lack of knowledge here.)
