It's amazing how one of his quotes only makes sense until now. I remember there being speculations and expectations that all the things he said would happen during Legion or even in BfA, but for all we know some of these quotes we're trying to make sense of won't appear until after Shadowlands or the expansion after that expansion. Such as the king of diamonds being made a pawn feels pretty obvious it's hinting at Magni, likely being tricked by Azeroth's voice. Lots speculated we'd see it take fruit in BfA but I think it's clear that it's still taking place and we've yet to see Magni having been tricked, which will hold way more weight when it happens (his death probably). For all we know all that we've done, which we thought was freeing Azeroth, is actually to deepen the corruption and they've been singing through her. The same goes for the boy-king one obviously about Anduin but the three lies aren't very clear yet, it feels more that the Old Gods or Void will seek him out. And "on her third death, she will usher in our coming" I doubt we've seen yet no matter how much we try to speculate, I doubt it had to do with N'zoth's arrival and "usher in our coming" likely means all Old Gods returning or even the Void itself in the future. There's still more that you could kinda piece together but aren't as clear as the "golden one" is now and I feel it just means they're prophecies yet to take place in the future. If that's the case, then the foreshadowing is crazy and this is the most incredible boss in the game!
Something to keep in mind is that the force of void see every possibility and take them all as truth. To put it into plain terms, il'gynoth can simply see a bunch of what ifs and it doesn't necessarily mean they will come to pass.
@@Pinji707 I was and still sad that the game doesn't pull me that much in anymore. I've waited for Azshara for years. And I did defeat her, but was basically carried by my guild. What I was amazed about it that Azshara is one of the few bosses that you fight, but you end up being defeated. Yes, you kinda kill her, which has no meaning in this game, but she does indeed execute her plans for you to free N'zoth. And and best and worst part was that I definitely noticed the problem with that content. Namely that the resistance the nagas offer is pretty much nonexistent. I just chalked up for WoW being worse than it was before. And then it turned out that it was deliberate. Either way my biggest gripe with Shadowlands at the moment that it just doesn't fit into everything else so far.
The golden one is Turalyon. The throne was left vacant when Anduin was taken by the Jailer and Turalyon is now serving as steward, literally sitting on the throne.

I have been thinking on these whispers lately, and they actually relate pretty decently with dragonflight -The six torches relating to each of the flights -Khadgar comming back (the lord of raven will turn the key) -The vassal of life and beware the eyes of green (maybe Ysera, but feels odd that they beware us of a someone that is by their side) -The crown of light will bring only darkness (the crown of wills and pelagos may be related to that) -In the moment of her third death (this could be Azshara, she "died" un the sundering, once again on the raid and could come back in dragonflight since she is related to that ancient place, you know since the isles became hidden after the sundering) -The golden one claims a vaccant throne (this fits more Turalyon than Pelagos and we know that something is gonna happen there, since Turalyon is now king and Anduin has recently lost his resolve) -The boy king serves at the master's table, 3 lies he will offer you (since Arthas is totally out of the way the only boy king is Anduin, and as I said, his now weaken and lacking resolve, some may say corruptible, how knows) -The cunning ones kneel before six masters but serve only one (obviously the dreadlords, but I say more, the dreadlords actually rescued Denatrhius without follwing the orders of the Jailer, since he disposed of him, the dreadlords always served Denatrhius, how we though served the Jailer; but what about if he actually served the void? That would explain why Revendreth got attacked by the light and why the dreadlords rescued Denatrhius) There are other things that I really don't get like "the blind queen wielding a scepter of bone" and other that do not fit that well like "the king of diamonds have been made a pawn", which everybody asumes refers to Magni, but the first raid of dragonflight is something "elemental related" so it could have a King of Diamond, dunno; for me is kinda an strech involving Magni in all this so I am kinda lost with some bits

We're yet to see their influence in the spheres of order or life, but we can assume that influence exists. I think Il'gynoth is trying to suggest that the nathrezim are servants of the void.

the line before says "my curse runs through your veins" obviously when he says her essence is her bane is referring to the fact that azerite being her blood is corrupted by the old gods power, the original reason the titans couldnt kill the old gods themselves was because they had buried deep into the Azeroth herself and it could kill her. More then likely both those whispers are just a reference to azerite and azeroth herself being corrupted by the old gods on some level.

Its more likely referring to the blood of humans for example. Without the old gods, many of the Alliance's races would not exist the way they do now. Its the curse of flesh

@@LapisBlock i get the feeling that the jailer didn´t choose to be the jailer. the only thing that connects helya, Sylvanas and the jailer(last blizz video included, the jailers choice of words was VERY interesting) is that none of them did choose theire fate out of free will. also the archon was triggered by the word "KEY". at the end of legion the windrunner sisters comic took place and the void inside of alleria was damn scared of sylvie. first i thought because she was undead. but what if the void was actually afraid of the "maw magic" inside her. also also, i think that the maw is not just a place, but a creature. also it is known, that the shortage of anima started at the end of legion. what if: the jailer was freed from his chains (put on him by the archon) at this time. the "maw/mouth" of the creature opened and it began to feast on the anima. if you look at the world map of shadowlands, the maw looks like it would suck away everything. the eternal keys, hold by the rulers of the shadowlands, are needed to set this creature free. the jailer was put in place with chains, to keep the mouth of this being shut, cause it was about to consume everything. also it is pretty funny if you switch some names of the cthulhu myth around. cthulhu = n´zoth yig= Y'shaarj (in the blizzard artwork he looks like a snake) R‘lyeh= Nyalotha starsscoin (sorry for butchering)= C´thraxxi (also sorry for butchering) old race= titanforged the deep creatures = Naga Yuggoth= Argus Yog-Sothoth= Illgynoth Nyarlathotep= yogg saron (cause he tricked loken with the avatar of torims dead wife and drove him to madness)
The Sigils seems to be keys or laterns that are most likely connected with the Chains all around Reality aka where Azeroth is. We see on the cosmology chart that there are chains all around the Veil. In a screenshot during Chains of Domination, we see chains above and inside the Veil. They aren't connected to Torghast or The Shadowlands which does bring truth to Sylvanas's words of "This world is a Prison". We have been chained to the fate of Living then dieing and going to The Shadowlands and our life force is then used to run this Machine of Death that keeps The Jailer jailed. All mortals must pay the price for The Jailer seeking knowledge. It is such an insane concept that im pretty sure our character is gonna make the change because The Shadowlands is so fucked up on how things run.

@@albertboom7870 We will see exactly how it ends when the mythic cutscenes are released, one could speculate that all we see in the entire raid is a vision just like the ones we are going to farm in stormwind, orgrimmar etc... and that the gift of n'zoth will allow him to see through our eyes when we get to the shadowlands
The fact that the Old Gods are undefeatable is pretty much confirmed. But we can kill their physical forms permanently. But if we ever end up where the void lords live ,they will likely be there, waiting.
@@Reac2 Indeed, despite all the power the Old Gods have, they are mere manifestations of the Void itself and the Void Lords. For all we know as well there's plenty of other Old Gods out there that could latch out. It's definitely not the end of them, just as Cataclysm was just the tip, so was BfA, as WoW has ever been steering towards a big Light vs Void war on galactic scale, which will likely make all other big threats and powers within each of the aspects (such as Burning Legion, death itself and the titans) seem insignificant in comparison.
It was hinted even more in the book of them hunting for Sylvanas. When Turalyon and Aleria try to question someone, they use The Light to bind them down, then use The Void to enter his mind and get answers. Its 2 opposing forces working together but think of it. The Light is being used to force The Void inside a person, very scary, and they can't use The Light to heal the wounds of the minds PTSD and torment it just had with The Void.
Yup and since the Light has invaded Draenor they will make a move on Azeroth. But the Void already knew what was going on everywhere in the cosmos. They are lies and half Truths. But Truths spill usually comes to pass. The Army of Light will come for Azeroth and they are not nice.

Turalyon -- having been made king by the nobles of Stormwind in Anduin's absence at the start of Shadowlands -- will become a theocratic dictator, much like Yrel in Draenor is in BFA, and maybe the two will join forces... the Scarlet Crusade / Onslaught could reform on Azeroth, possibly joining the new "Lawful-Evil Alliance" created by Turalyon + Yrel and starting a chapter of their own on Draenor as well... there have been the Dark Horde / Iron Horde / other evil versions of the Horde, so why not the Alliance as well? That's coming... Alleria's newfound people, the Void Elves, will possibly come under persecution -- again -- and she'll be forced to choose between them, or her own family, or perhaps both since she could somehow try to make Arathor and Turalyon both see reason while aiding a Void Elf resistance against the combined tyranny of Turalyon and Yrel...

After hearing these once again, I’m convinced the visions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar may come true. In Stormwind vision, Anduins no where to be found but Alleria is the issue, and Turalyon is the light one.

Especially after the new lore books found in forbidden reach and whispers of nzoth in timetravel ny alotha it is almost guaranteed next expansion being centered around the harbinger and azhara bringing forth the void unintentionally

She is the green aspect, who has been been corrupted by Xavius using a corrupted Tears Of Elune. I wonder if that corruption still lingers, even if it is a minuscule amount. Ysera is the Vassal of Life the green dragon flight maintains the emerald dream which allows life to flourish in Azeroth.
"The crown of light will only bring darkness" - what if this doesn't have anything to do with Turalyon or the light but foreshadowing dark turn of events by forging the crown of wills from the helm of domination. What if free will is the path of the void referring to the infinite truth instead of just a dogmatic narration by a single cosmical viewpoint.
Either the Eternal Ones are total idiots apart from Zovaal, or Primus is the real Jailer and used Domination to control Zovaal and set his plan of reaching forbidden knowledge in Zereth Mortis unnoticed.

Void lords, shadow, death? perhaps its reality that consumes these forces in its own way. It's basically confirmed to be Turalyon at this point seeing as he's to become the steward or SW in Anduins absence and as light was pictured as much less of a purely good force during WoD and Legion What I haven't seen speculated yet is that "The cunning ones kneel before six masters but serve only one." could be reffering to horde and its new "council". It's much more shallow than the cosmic forces shit I've seen speculated over this, but it kind of makes sense to me that the "new horde" would still lean towards one leader even if the council is established.
the golden one could be the new arbiter(pelagos) and the crown of light i think is the remade helm of domination in shadowlands, and the father of sleep one i think is an obvious reference to muehzala.

For anyone who has seen the expac leak, "The blind queen wields a scepter of bone." Leak bellow Alexstrasza is wielding a staff/scepter and she is also know as Queen of Dragons.
Gotta be honest, that scepter doesn't feel very bony, also she is not blind (although she could become blind somehow), and really, alexstraza is not someone you could relate the expresion of "from the deep she calls forth doom". This quote is one of the most confusing to me, I don't know anyone how could be called a "blind queen" in Warcraft

One thing that needs to be kept in mind for these other than ones that correlate with abilities is that they never made it past being voice files. I have never heard and of the prophecy ones in his fight and that's doing it on normal and heroic on at least 4 characters, except the one he says on death. I even watched a couple mythic fight videos that kept the game sounds and they weren't used there either. So the prophecies should be taken with a grain of salt.
Could the 5 laterns be referring to the 5 zones in shadowlands? Oribos is a main city zone thats been built and isn’t like a land mass. Just throwing this out there, but what if when we actually complete shadow lands, we’re actually bringing the old gods back into our plain of existence after taking Sylvanas out at the end? Just speculating here but a life a life in wow and is treated the same to everyone else. But akso, here another one, but since the maw gettingcall the souls, the 5 other zones seek its light, and if we bring them back theres spuls, somehow that brings in there coming (after killing Sylvanas) Just food for thought.
Dragonflights make more sense, since they lost all of their power in cataclysm, and the new expansion will be about them as well. Also the covenants didn't really lose their power, so this makes the dragonflight theory even more plausible
I bet we will use him to enter the shadowlands and at the end of expansion we will realize that he was using us to gain more power, at the end we will kill him as a raid boss the end

Now imagine how awesome a old god expac would have been if WoW didnt retcon everything established yee from the strat games (Nerzhul forging Frostmourne, Helm and Armor thus being death incarnate, undead being immune to others corruption, but not control, dragon aspects being the living embodiments of each ... well aspect, magic, azeroth, life, time and dreams/potential/evolution, draenei actually being fully corrupt or broken by the legion, etc)
But that'd mess up their plan to make the newest update Warlords of Dreanor 2: Heart of the void boogaloo because fans already loved it when they took the same direction before!

@@flameknightdragon Most of these "retcons" you and the guy that posted the original talk about arent even retcons, they never specifically said that Cthun was a manifestation of his former self, it was him, just weaker. Also Nerzhul DIDNT forge Frostmourne, it was said that the Dreadlords did with the help of Kiljaeden when it came to the armor but we never learned the details which we are exploring in SL. Stop assuming things and taking the word of others as cannon lore. Many of the other things mentioned are also false.
Yeah the five laterns quote and vassal of life quote are almost def dragonflight related. Im going to be quite shocked if the traitor actually is a green dragonflight though

The cunning ones are certainly the player character. The six masters are the 6 seats at the high table. The six cosmic forces in which we wield. By wielding their power we serve them.
I think the number six might be in reference to the different cosmic orders in the WoW universe. Life(nature) and Death(necromantic), Order(Arcane) and Disorder(Fel), and Light(Holy) and Shadow(Void).

It's amazing how one of his quotes only makes sense until now. I remember there being speculations and expectations that all the things he said would happen during Legion or even in BfA, but for all we know some of these quotes we're trying to make sense of won't appear until after Shadowlands or the expansion after that expansion.
Such as the king of diamonds being made a pawn feels pretty obvious it's hinting at Magni, likely being tricked by Azeroth's voice. Lots speculated we'd see it take fruit in BfA but I think it's clear that it's still taking place and we've yet to see Magni having been tricked, which will hold way more weight when it happens (his death probably). For all we know all that we've done, which we thought was freeing Azeroth, is actually to deepen the corruption and they've been singing through her.
The same goes for the boy-king one obviously about Anduin but the three lies aren't very clear yet, it feels more that the Old Gods or Void will seek him out. And "on her third death, she will usher in our coming" I doubt we've seen yet no matter how much we try to speculate, I doubt it had to do with N'zoth's arrival and "usher in our coming" likely means all Old Gods returning or even the Void itself in the future. There's still more that you could kinda piece together but aren't as clear as the "golden one" is now and I feel it just means they're prophecies yet to take place in the future.
If that's the case, then the foreshadowing is crazy and this is the most incredible boss in the game!
Something to keep in mind is that the force of void see every possibility and take them all as truth. To put it into plain terms, il'gynoth can simply see a bunch of what ifs and it doesn't necessarily mean they will come to pass.
@@Pinji707 I was and still sad that the game doesn't pull me that much in anymore. I've waited for Azshara for years. And I did defeat her, but was basically carried by my guild.
What I was amazed about it that Azshara is one of the few bosses that you fight, but you end up being defeated. Yes, you kinda kill her, which has no meaning in this game, but she does indeed execute her plans for you to free N'zoth. And and best and worst part was that I definitely noticed the problem with that content. Namely that the resistance the nagas offer is pretty much nonexistent. I just chalked up for WoW being worse than it was before. And then it turned out that it was deliberate.
Either way my biggest gripe with Shadowlands at the moment that it just doesn't fit into everything else so far.
The golden one is Turalyon. The throne was left vacant when Anduin was taken by the Jailer and Turalyon is now serving as steward, literally sitting on the throne.

I have been thinking on these whispers lately, and they actually relate pretty decently with dragonflight
-The six torches relating to each of the flights
-Khadgar comming back (the lord of raven will turn the key)
-The vassal of life and beware the eyes of green (maybe Ysera, but feels odd that they beware us of a someone that is by their side)
-The crown of light will bring only darkness (the crown of wills and pelagos may be related to that)
-In the moment of her third death (this could be Azshara, she "died" un the sundering, once again on the raid and could come back in dragonflight since she is related to that ancient place, you know since the isles became hidden after the sundering)
-The golden one claims a vaccant throne (this fits more Turalyon than Pelagos and we know that something is gonna happen there, since Turalyon is now king and Anduin has recently lost his resolve)
-The boy king serves at the master's table, 3 lies he will offer you (since Arthas is totally out of the way the only boy king is Anduin, and as I said, his now weaken and lacking resolve, some may say corruptible, how knows)
-The cunning ones kneel before six masters but serve only one (obviously the dreadlords, but I say more, the dreadlords actually rescued Denatrhius without follwing the orders of the Jailer, since he disposed of him, the dreadlords always served Denatrhius, how we though served the Jailer; but what about if he actually served the void? That would explain why Revendreth got attacked by the light and why the dreadlords rescued Denatrhius)
There are other things that I really don't get like "the blind queen wielding a scepter of bone" and other that do not fit that well like "the king of diamonds have been made a pawn", which everybody asumes refers to Magni, but the first raid of dragonflight is something "elemental related" so it could have a King of Diamond, dunno; for me is kinda an strech involving Magni in all this so I am kinda lost with some bits

Dreadlords, easy. They've been given clear instructions on how to infiltrate the primary forces of all six cosmic elements. They've infiltrated Revendreth and the Burning Legion - on the Light, a dreadlord named Lothraxion commands the Army of the Light's military.
We're yet to see their influence in the spheres of order or life, but we can assume that influence exists. I think Il'gynoth is trying to suggest that the nathrezim are servants of the void.

the line before says "my curse runs through your veins" obviously when he says her essence is her bane is referring to the fact that azerite being her blood is corrupted by the old gods power, the original reason the titans couldnt kill the old gods themselves was because they had buried deep into the Azeroth herself and it could kill her. More then likely both those whispers are just a reference to azerite and azeroth herself being corrupted by the old gods on some level.

@@LapisBlock i get the feeling that the jailer didn´t choose to be the jailer. the only thing that connects helya, Sylvanas and the jailer(last blizz video included, the jailers choice of words was VERY interesting) is that none of them did choose theire fate out of free will. also the archon was triggered by the word "KEY".
at the end of legion the windrunner sisters comic took place and the void inside of alleria was damn scared of sylvie. first i thought because she was undead. but what if the void was actually afraid of the "maw magic" inside her.
also also, i think that the maw is not just a place, but a creature. also it is known, that the shortage of anima started at the end of legion. what if: the jailer was freed from his chains (put on him by the archon) at this time. the "maw/mouth" of the creature opened and it began to feast on the anima. if you look at the world map of shadowlands, the maw looks like it would suck away everything. the eternal keys, hold by the rulers of the shadowlands, are needed to set this creature free. the jailer was put in place with chains, to keep the mouth of this being shut, cause it was about to consume everything.

The Sigils seems to be keys or laterns that are most likely connected with the Chains all around Reality aka where Azeroth is. We see on the cosmology chart that there are chains all around the Veil. In a screenshot during Chains of Domination, we see chains above and inside the Veil. They aren't connected to Torghast or The Shadowlands which does bring truth to Sylvanas's words of "This world is a Prison". We have been chained to the fate of Living then dieing and going to The Shadowlands and our life force is then used to run this Machine of Death that keeps The Jailer jailed. All mortals must pay the price for The Jailer seeking knowledge. It is such an insane concept that im pretty sure our character is gonna make the change because The Shadowlands is so fucked up on how things run.
This is why Illy is my favorite boss, his quotes are so mysterious!! Honestly, I think he deserves a resurrection, and honest, I think he deserved to be an Old God..his quotes are spookier than Yogg Saron & C'Thune combined! Shout-out to good o'l Blizzy for creating such a masterpiece.

The fact that the Old Gods are undefeatable is pretty much confirmed. But we can kill their physical forms permanently. But if we ever end up where the void lords live ,they will likely be there, waiting.
@@Reac2 Indeed, despite all the power the Old Gods have, they are mere manifestations of the Void itself and the Void Lords. For all we know as well there's plenty of other Old Gods out there that could latch out. It's definitely not the end of them, just as Cataclysm was just the tip, so was BfA, as WoW has ever been steering towards a big Light vs Void war on galactic scale, which will likely make all other big threats and powers within each of the aspects (such as Burning Legion, death itself and the titans) seem insignificant in comparison.
New N'zoth whispers in Dragonflight prove this to be truth.

It was hinted even more in the book of them hunting for Sylvanas. When Turalyon and Aleria try to question someone, they use The Light to bind them down, then use The Void to enter his mind and get answers. Its 2 opposing forces working together but think of it. The Light is being used to force The Void inside a person, very scary, and they can't use The Light to heal the wounds of the minds PTSD and torment it just had with The Void.
Yup and since the Light has invaded Draenor they will make a move on Azeroth. But the Void already knew what was going on everywhere in the cosmos. They are lies and half Truths. But Truths spill usually comes to pass. The Army of Light will come for Azeroth and they are not nice.
The Horde had Sylvannas, and the Alliance will have Turalyon

Turalyon -- having been made king by the nobles of Stormwind in Anduin's absence at the start of Shadowlands -- will become a theocratic dictator, much like Yrel in Draenor is in BFA, and maybe the two will join forces... the Scarlet Crusade / Onslaught could reform on Azeroth, possibly joining the new "Lawful-Evil Alliance" created by Turalyon + Yrel and starting a chapter of their own on Draenor as well... there have been the Dark Horde / Iron Horde / other evil versions of the Horde, so why not the Alliance as well? That's coming... Alleria's newfound people, the Void Elves, will possibly come under persecution -- again -- and she'll be forced to choose between them, or her own family, or perhaps both since she could somehow try to make Arathor and Turalyon both see reason while aiding a Void Elf resistance against the combined tyranny of Turalyon and Yrel...

After hearing these once again, I’m convinced the visions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar may come true. In Stormwind vision, Anduins no where to be found but Alleria is the issue, and Turalyon is the light one.

Either the Eternal Ones are total idiots apart from Zovaal, or Primus is the real Jailer and used Domination to control Zovaal and set his plan of reaching forbidden knowledge in Zereth Mortis unnoticed.

Could this be referencing Turalyon? Anduin gets yoinked to the Shadowlands, and Genn refuses to lead the Alliance during his absence instead allowing Turalyon to do it. Turalyon is a servant of the light, and pretty golden if you ask me, and he claims a vacant throne (if only temporarily). Could he start imposing the will of the light and showing it’s true colors while we are away?

I think it’s Turalyon. He basically becomes the King of Stormwind and acting leader of the alliance during Anduin’s absence in the Shadowlanda
It's basically confirmed to be Turalyon at this point seeing as he's to become the steward or SW in Anduins absence and as light was pictured as much less of a purely good force during WoD and Legion
What I haven't seen speculated yet is that "The cunning ones kneel before six masters but serve only one." could be reffering to horde and its new "council". It's much more shallow than the cosmic forces shit I've seen speculated over this, but it kind of makes sense to me that the "new horde" would still lean towards one leader even if the council is established.

One thing that needs to be kept in mind for these other than ones that correlate with abilities is that they never made it past being voice files. I have never heard and of the prophecy ones in his fight and that's doing it on normal and heroic on at least 4 characters, except the one he says on death.
I even watched a couple mythic fight videos that kept the game sounds and they weren't used there either.
So the prophecies should be taken with a grain of salt.

Dragonflights make more sense, since they lost all of their power in cataclysm, and the new expansion will be about them as well. Also the covenants didn't really lose their power, so this makes the dragonflight theory even more plausible
