What is the laws on cruising, customs and immigration etc, i naivley thought aslong as you carried your passport you could go where you liked?? I,m a commercial fisherman from the uk and i dream of leaving dreary old england and doing exactly what youre doing! I subbed to your channel to help my dream, you two (plus dog) are living it for me til i get there, thankyou.
Great video! Do you prefer liveaboard sailing or liveaboard cruising on the trawler? What are some pros and cons of each?
aaah I'll start with the pros and cons. Sailing is definitely quieter, cheaper, and you are a bit more in-touch with nature. Trawling is a little more comfortable in terms of space and usually motion (unless its at our beam). but requires maintenance, fuel, and it is a bit unnerving being only having one engine and no backup sails. That's why I was glad I had my little whaler for this trip. If something happened to the trawler engine I could always tow it at least a short distance. What do I like better? Neither, just different. I think for our next boat we will try out a motor sailor or a catamaran.

Was wondering what you fuel burn is at full throttle, I'm guessing about 2000 RPM's not sure? Just wondering fuel cost on your Jup to Bimini and Chubb trip in this boat if you don't mind sharing.
