- Teaming up with @RandySantel to take on a MASSIVE 13.5 pound seafood platter at the Fat Mermaid in Valdez, Alaska. This was the second stop of our 5 restaurant Alaska tour. The challenge consisted of king crab, fish tacos, vegan tacos, fried calamari, shrimp, onion rings, fish sandwiches, seafood chowder, salmon pizza, and all sorts of other delights! This was a blast to film and the crowd was awesome!

@@KatinaEatsKilos Randy said he had never heard of Nut Taco's. Many years ago if you went looking for a Hot vegetarian meal it would be Lentils or Chick Peas in a sauce. If you were lucky you could find Nut Meatloaf. Because they tried to keep normal meals available and just replaced the Meat with Nuts of all sorts. Nuts actually have more Protein (Ounce for Ounce) than Beef Steak.
I do wish he would turn to Katina's camera more during the opening. Maybe it's just me, but she puts the effort into his...

Katina can definitely keep us entertained, but it's nice to mix things up a bit sometimes. She could have done this food trip with Randy and not posted it; the food trip would have still happened.

I did a couple backpacking trips through Alaska and it remains one of my favorite places on earth! Seriously, I would move there if I could. Moose and caribou are delicious by the way. If you get the chance try some of the game sausage they make out of it. Have fun, and don't get eaten by bears!

At 9:22 -that "Cracker, please!!!" look & laugh from Katina when they told them to come back in January for what I believe the guy off camera called a "splash in" when you jump in the ice cold water after the challenge.
