There is no way I can justify even one Saran Wrap ball when I'm living on the coast seeing the beaches covered in plastic and dead animals from that plastic, saying I want to help protect the environment. I would be a hypocrite if I saw and said all I did then made a huge ball of petroleum plastic wrap for people to rip apart.

@@shadowfigure3749 I live on the West Coast and that is so true. Sea birds, so many of them, die because of this 'game' and people using saran wrap. Mary, if you love birds, please don't use saran wrap. It is a cruel death for all God's creatures who get trapped in it or eat it.
The Frey Life no but we play a similair christmas present game with a dice and on time 😊, if you dont know what it is you can end up with no presents or many

A long time ago when my sons were little, I had an English nanny who made something similar. She used wrapping paper and it was called "Pass the parcel". Apparently, it's an English thing! We made it for the kids' birthday parties and stuffed it with all sorts of party favors.

Nancy Dan yes!! Pass the parcel is a great kids party game. I make one for each of my 3 girls at their birthdays. One larger present as the main last prize then smaller ones normally sweets or chocolate for in between the layers.
I played the Saran wrap ball for first time at a 60+ year old Christmas Eve party. Needless to say it was a hoot. So glad you had a fun filled day.

We did it with paper which is still wasteful but at least it's recyclable. We also traded and shared the gifts at the end so everyone got something they liked.

went to a friend's for Christmas party and they had the seran wrap game, we used oven mitts to unwrap it, so makes it harder and funny.

Enjoy every minute in the here and now! It's the only way to do life. I learned this many years ago when I learned to Let Go and Let God. I am so grateful to have been living life with those two lessons. My family was small. My Mom and Dad were only children so no Aunts, Uncles or Cousins. It was Mom, Dad, my Sister and me. Now they have all passed so it is my nephew, my two great nieces and myself as far as blood relatives. I am sharing all this to say no one knows what tomorrow may bring, except God. Because of your illness, Mary, you and Peter live this way all the time!! It really is a blessing to understand the concept. So many fret about tomorrow or regret yesterday. So Today is no where in the equation. I just love your family and when you are together for the holidays it just warms my heart. I pray you have the most blessed Christmas and a Healthy, Happy 2020!! Haha I love thatgame! But main truck is to do it in short sections of plastic wrap and make sure each is stuck down well starting at different areas. That way if takes lingering an end to unwrap the thing. Not one person gets all the gifts.

We always play that game but we wear winter gloves when we unwrap. Mine is full of random stuff from the Dollar Tree. Each person has a bucket and they have to take each thing out of the bucket to show what they got. They might get a toothbrush or latex gloves or a toy. It’s hysterical. Then they have gift cards and money all in it with the best gift card in the center.

I had to pause my laptop twice because I heard beeping. I'm roasting food in the oven right now so it threw me for a spin until I figured out it was from the video.
You can get away with using a whole lot less plastic wrap if you make the person doing the unwrapping wear oven mitts. Just put the prizes a lot closer together and cut the plastic wrap three or four times for each roll. If you want to make the game last even longer, make a rule that if the ball touches the floor, your turn is over.

I just made a SARAN WRAP BALL for our Chanukah party on Friday ! I SWITCH THE WRAPPING UP DIFFERENT WAYS TO MAKE IT HARDER AND MORE FUN . ( Messianic Fellowship) i put Candy , chocolate bars, crazy socks, puzzles, flashlight, key chains , magnets assorted Christian stuff , scarfs , a piggy bank at the center with $$. Mostly Dollar tree stuff we did this last year and it was so much fun and a BIG HIT ! Hope y'all are having a good time with your families have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy your time together . Say hello to Ollie and Harry ( when u see him I missed him too in the vlog ! He's already a full fledged FREY ! ) GOD BLESS !

Using all that plastic is incredibly environmentally irresponsible. We are experiencing the beginnings of a global climate crisis right now. You could play the same game with recycled newspapers instead of plastic wrap, and compostable twine (like jute) instead of tape.
