And for someone (me) just starting playing Tetris I actually got to 13th place in the solo game. I wanted to look up to see if there were any insanely good pro Tetris players... I didn't realize there were any, but man is this guy incredible. Does anyone know how he does this? I think it's because it's a lot more comfortable. When playing normally with the d-pad, it caused my hand to hurt a LOT, and I couldn't play much despite loving the game. I tried his method, and to be honest, while it takes some getting used to, it seems a lot better. Especially since he plays for hours on end.
And after all that, he only entered Top 10 with 6 KOs. Somehow, I get the feeling that drawing aggro from multiple players is going to make for a stronger meta than any individual plays you can make in this version.
It would be better if the game submerged into 2 divided areas so that we can see a proper 1v1 match other than the small screens. Cuz when theres only 2 standing, it would be cool to see whats on their side of the match

Clearing lines with same colored blocks or even making 3x3 squares of the same color can net some extra points. I didn't know much about T-spin, but that double T-spin on 12:33 impressed me a lot.
His t-spin set ups are so versatile, while some people look for the same pieces to set them up, this guy uses every piece
