The beauty of not even fighting a common enemy, but how UIs transcend all previous forms of creed, race, and religion. As cheesy and common as these sci-fi story beats may be, of technology bringing people together, these stories still do give me some hope for humanity.

It was the one aspect of the show that struck me as not very thoughtfully or courageously approached, which is disappointing tbh when in another episode a character talks about his opposition to the CCP over its supposed abandonment of democratic centralism.

4 months late note spoilers below I highly recommend you go watch pantheon. Never had a reason to comment but I’ve come back to rewatch this series multiple times and now it’s become more apparent. Caspian throughout the series never once had a happy moment. Most of the characters had time to deal with their problems/traumas, albeit some easier than others, but Caspian has gone from one battle to another, Steve Jobs, got put in stasis for 20 years until mist pulls him out and he puts himself back in the ringer just to die for real, gets resurrected by Molly who’s now an ai 175,000 years old. You wanna talk about trauma the dude thought he died the first time then died the second time. He never got to experience anything, molly’s now 20 years older than him, hell his kids older than him, his friends are either all dead or are now ai thousands of years older. Each time he came back into the fold he’s entering a world he no longer knows. I don’t count the ending because as they say to each other they wouldn’t remember anything so wether that would be a third death is up for debate because they are killing the present version of themselves.
