- I'm back! Over the summer I went to Woodward West in Tehachapi, CA to visit some friends and ended up spending some time on the trampolines to explain what happens during a double bounce.
Please don't try this at home.

I remember when I was six and made a game on my trampoline based completely about who could ‘steal the other person’s ‘ bounce and go really high. Good times
Sounds like the kind of thing I would break a bone doing as a kid
Omg I loved that
we do that and one time I was lying down and my bro was being double bounced my friend and fell on me like he was in the air above me and came crashing down on me
Same!
Same
This was actually extremely Informative and really well done. It was just like watching a short Mark Rober video. Very underrated keep up the good work
I was like how do you double bounce someone? And I knew CZcams would have the answer.
younghex I got to you fam
Thank you for explaining something that I’ve been doing since A child (fr)
My pleasure! I was surprised there wasn't an explainer about this topic already
@@Corporis it's kind of crazy how children play with science, know how it works but cannot explain the specifics behind it. For example: the "wobbly pencil optical illusion" when a student wobbles a pencil between two fingers and makes it appear to be made of rubber. Could you explain that to me next?
We used to play crack the egg one person cruel up like a egg and the person who stay an egg the longest win so we always hit the double bounce to get the other person to crack
This is dangerous for young kids. Its how my 4 year old son got his leg broke. He was jumping with his aunt and the force broke his leg.
yeah you can land improperly and possibly break your spine
Thank you!! I’ve wondered this since I was a kid! And I tried searching “physics of trampoline” with no success.
My pleasure! I was surprised this kind of video didn't exist yet either
I didn't even know what that was until I watched community
It's not that unsafe. Me and my bro used to do this all the time as kids!
It's unsafe for people who aren't tough or know how to fall properly. One wrong fall or "brace for impact" and someone's arm or neck is broken. It's why a lot of equestrians walk away from horrific falls... They know how to "fall properly". Same with skateboarders, BMX bikers... Really anyone in a sport where falling is inevitable
it's safe if your not an absolute idiot. Its also a lot of fun!
we do this thing were we get on the all back bonce at the same time people get super high one time my bro fell on me
Thanks for the info!!!🎉
Good video. I learned.
We use to play a game called "crack the egg". One person sits in the middle with their arms and legs tucked, and you have to bounce them until they loosen their body.
Omg this is a universal trampoline experience 😂 I loved crack the egg but it also got me all scratched up
@@whitneymiller5139 yeah it wasn't very safe 😂 me and a friend accidentally bounced my sister off the tramp 😅😅
family member did this years ago and snapped their ankle in half from all that 'energy" had to have countless surgeries and never walked the same again, no cap. hes not lying when he says it isnt safe. not sure why they even did it for the video. not sure if video makers even realize the dangers that can happen during it.
You can keep boosting as much as the springs can handle, because someone that flies higher has more kinnetic energy to transfer coming down do if you double bounce a double bounced person they get thrice the kinetic energy.
Ive did it last year, and i landed on both my legs and them something happend and i just collapsed in pain through my legs, took 2 months to heal
:O i double bounce i ask my sis but i dont do it any more bc my back started to hurt please reply any thing else what can happen
You should have explained it in the foam squares
Wait...
But then could you do a triple bounce by having three people's mass combined into one jumper?
Pls i want to know
WildRandomVideos1201 ooooooooooooooooooooo!! Maybe u could test that? (Or if u don’t own a trampoline you could go to somewhere like ijump btw)
I can’t do it because I have no friends to do it with lol
That’s so sad
Yes you can it’s happened to me and I almost broke my leg.
You can and you go even higher than a double jump
lol, me and my brother used to see how high we could go with a double bounce, let me tell you ,the net won't do anything when your 12 feet from the trampoline pad
Trampoline next to a huge foampit would be fun
Dude. It is. Double fronties all day
cool.
As a kid we would play a game and we called it butt bounce😂 bad, hurt, and fun memories.
BMX ? Two brake system , nice faky trixs ?
Patrick Kelly Do not thinking, do it , please! You are a good teacher and a good bmxer too!
i feel like i’ve been doing this right all mh life but apparently doing it wrong…
Should've done it and put a pic of u in it in the thumbnail ( 4 da views tho )
I remeber when I got double bounced all the neighbor hood kids came over and where checking on me.
*community flashbacks*
Di-Polly
you know, i don't understand why youtubers start their intros like,"Hey guys whats up," because why say, whats up if they don't let the viewers talk about what happened or maybe its just me XD
It’s just u
@@Coletrain.sp. 😂💯 agree
DC LIGHTNING Definitely just him. 😂 lmao
It's not unsafe...it's awesome. Anything worth doing has risk. Being aware of risk and participating doesn't make something unsafe. Being unaware of risk and participating, does. Trampolines should be pretty self explanatory in this regard. Anyone who hurts themselves on a trampoline doesn't really have an out here. Go double bounce. You'll be fine. (if you break your leg don't sue me)
Broke my ankle when I was 5 on my bday because of a double bounce. Double bouncing is stupid and dangerous.
