As a former hardcore freestyler myself, I've come to enjoy racing as I've found more time for it. Racing casually without practice and trying to be competitive can be frustrating because you simply don't have any muscle memory to rely on. I mainly race whoops, so I've been able to set up courses in my home and train my muscle memory and speed. Getting into outdoor racing, a lot of that reaction time and speed carries over. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, but with that logic, freestyle is more beginner friendly for sure. Ultimately, any involvement in FPV is good involvement, but there's a reason that a majority of the top pro cinematic FPV pilots have a racing background, it helps you improve. Nice video!

You need a really powerful drone and a harness and then you can put the goggles on and drag yourself around on the skateboard with the drone. Yeah, if it works you'll probably die. But it would be totally badass right up until the tragic end.

I would totally race. But then I would have to neglect my kids, my job and food to make sure I had enough time to practice everyday to be gud. I'll just stay a sub-par freestyle and camera drone pilot.
