Honestly, I think N is the most competent character in all of media with his type of character trope. In the beginning that isn’t very clear since he didn’t really have room for individuality back then, but after meeting Uzi, he really began to grow more into himself! He still remained super kind and was willing to open his heart to just about anybody, but when he could tell something was genuinely wrong with someone or if they were just being plain rude, he never hesitated to show them what for! Characters like him wouldn’t be given much of a chance to grow like that, to have a spotlight shone onto them, and would just remain the same old doormat/comic relief character that they were always meant to be. That’s why I like N. It isn’t only because he’s a golden retriever baby or that he’s like the only wholesome person in this show, but because he demonstrates genuine growth throughout the show without completely changing his entire personality. Honestly, if he were a therapist or a detective, he’d be the best in the entire world. No joke. (It helps that he’s a robot so he knows multiple different languages)
@ConceptOfCreat10n I think ralsei could very well take it first place in the coming chapters. hell, we meet him in a different world in a castle town with him being the ONLY person living there, which then he tells up we are a part of this prophecy to save the world and that he has been waiting for us for a long time. and some fans suspect him to be Evil because he is competent when comes to certain things, like knowledge him knowing how the world works on fundamental things which no one else knows about, and his powers of moving to other worlds and his powers of scrying. he also knows how to cook and bake very well he knows how to sew and create life sized dummies; he builds and renovate and furnished to the exact tastes and needs of two people he just meets. though he starts at as a doormat he does show that he can stand up for himself and others at times. though it doesn't help that he has being alone nearly/all his whole life, and that his supposed role in life is to serve others and be a hero to save the world, himself kris(the MC) and susie. though susie basically makes fun the whole thing and ralsei then leaves. he does Stright up call out susie behavior and bad actions and asks to please start acting like a hero should act. and when susie and ralsei make up later susie does ask him if he still going to bake her some cakes like he said before, and he basically says he only do it if she stops making fun of him. and of that happens in chapter 1. and in chapter 2 he hangs out more with susie, and starts to question who he really is.
I also Like how, in the most recent episode, he didn’t let Tessa monologue. He said yes or no, one answer, and when she didn’t answer he just chops her head clean off at the neck. He’s partially liked because he’s just… smart. He sees a problem, he approaches it, and he handles it. He doesn’t stand there like a dope
also another thing to show that N is smart, literally in the pilot, N breaks in through the doors that are protecting the worker drones, and if I remember correctly, it’s said that V and J have been trying to get through those doors for MONTHS. AND HE GETS RIGHT THROUGH THAT IN THAT IN LIKE A SECOND. anyways do remember me as a og when you get famous
To be fair, N managed to get his claw between the doors before it could properly shut, which probably gave him more leverage to open it. Not to mention, if N was capable of opening the door the entire time, he would have done so and caused complete carnage.
They’re robots, their actual aversion towards death is usually due to either the horror of how they die, or because they left the oven on or something. They don’t fear the unknown, they live that every day.
That's part of how I think this show casually captures that "edgy early-mid 2000s flash cartoon" black humor vibe. They'll just casually off named characters and then never address it again (or show them briefly in the credits of episode 8 :P ).
I think I watched a theory that stated that Drones are afraid of dying but aren't afraid of dead ei Drones don't care about corpses, are they in danger? No, the will act normally; Yes they act like us.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they somehow based N off a few dogs or something. On one hand, he’s an absolute sweetheart who wins the affection of just about anyone who meets him. On the other, he defends and protects those he’s loyal to and isn’t willing to lose anyone without a fight. Watching him in EP7 made me both shocked and almost a little proud, especially when he didn’t listen to Tessa. The character development he had was great. I can see why a lot of fans like him (he’s my second fave). He’s just so kind and fun to watch and write (when I decide to let him be the protag, lol).
This in my opinion, describes a Saint Bernard dog, also known as the "Nanny Dog" due to their gentle nature's towards kids and the weak/vulnerable, their protectiveness of said people, and the ability, but not desire, to absolutely kill those who hurt it/whom its protecting.

He proves to be more capable when he isn't following orders, but not in an "I work alone" way! He's kind and loving, and so much smarter and competent than he believes he is, and that humility sets him up to be a great leader, which, due to his captains hat, seems to imply that that's how it's supposed to be! Ok, so forgive me for applying MBTI to a robot, but I can't NOT see N as a perfect example of an ENFP. The basic functions of the ENFP is Ne-Fi-Te-Si. Don't worry if this is confusing, I'll explain. His primary function would be Ne, Extroverted Intuition. I won't get into that because it's not really important here. His auxiliary function is Fi, Introverted Feeling. This means he relies heavily on emotion when making decisions. You don't often see how intelligent he is because of this- he often uses feelings above rationality. But that doesn't mean he's incapable of using logic or having intelligence. He's incredibly intelligent, in many ways. We see this the most in the horror scenarios where he applies logic to the situation. If something is dangerous, eliminate the danger (why do 99% of horror protagonists not understand that logic, again?). The only times emotions affect his logic is when those he cares about are involved. However, he was able to take a step back and analyze the Tessa situation and eliminate her once he'd realized she had been lying to him. Throughout the show N has always let someone else take the charge, be it J, V or Uzi, he never takes the charge. But after episode 7, after V died? after Uzi ummm teleported?, we finally get to see what N is like when he is taking the charge.
I gotta say, when i first saw the pilot my expectations did not have the highest regard. I at first though Uzi was a bad character and N was just a filter for her angstiest. Than after watching the second episode I realized I was way off and I thought N and Uzi were amazing. it was only until episode 4 was the point to where I loved N like everyone else.
I like our Main 3 but I really appreciated that one bot that was constantly on her phone updating V (I think) AS THINGS HAPPENED. And the teacher who was. 10000% done with everything...even when the planet exploded
Following up on the part where we don't get to see much of how smart he truly is, I believe it's all building up to episode 8. Now that N is alone, he is free to explore, investigate, and fight at his own pace. I am very certain that he will use his intelligence to his advantage in episode 8 because he has nothing left to follow for the time being. Overall though, episode 8 will bring out the best in everyone because it's literally the "it's go time" episode in my eyes. Nobody will be playing around.

As someone who used to really like N during the first few episodes, I kinda fell off of his hype. But like most things, I think it’s the fandom’s infantilization of him that kinda turns me away from him as well as his negligence towards V. This isn’t N’s fault but another reason why I kinda stopped like him is because of a similar issue I have for Marinette. This dude takes up a LOT of screen time that could (and should have) been given to other characters….like V- Intermission was probably my favorite characterization of him and that isn’t even canon. Edit: My favorite character is V if it ain’t already obvious.
I love N but the FACT you brought YUGIOH VRAINS into this--I hope you do a video on VRAINS because that show is being SLEPT ON in the yugioh franchise. I'm that major shipper of Yusaku/Ai but Ai's dedication to protecting Yusaku spawns WAVES of craziness--Cyn, take notes of how to treat your favorites. Wait. No. Cyn wanted to keep N around. And Ai wanted to keep Yusaku around...Oh no. The parallels. I really did love how when the going gets tough, N lashes out immediately to protect. I just wanted to add that N's past actions of murder and genocide are completely forgivable as he was brainwashed into the role of a murder drone after the loss of his past memories as shown in episode 5. (the same thing applies to J aswell) So yeah N is completely innocent and not at fault for all the past actions he made as a murder done.
N is definitely one of my favorite pokemon villains. dude wasn't even evil, he was just suckered into his parental figure's plan. Hell, the box art legendary thought he was truly worthy of controlling it. N's ideals also never waiver, he still thinks Pokemon should not be forced to battle, it's just his methods of achieving the world he wants us more peaceful. Oh wait, wrong N. Uuuuuhhhhhh.... You referring to N as a Nice Guy initially unsettled me because of the epidemic of "Nice" Guys in media (Joker, Tighten, etc), and I didn't really see the connection. But I think I can kinda see the connection. Though he's genuinely kind, rather than just nice, I could see the kindness turn to bitterness, hollowness, or just death if he kept getting trampled on. Uzi helps him to stand up for himself, without throwing away his empathy. And unlike the maligned 'Friendzone' N and Uzi starting out AS friends and progressing each other's arcs for the better, helps him from becoming another incel allegory.
The way he was bargaining with being nice to sin in that flashback/simulation reminds me of how I typically react to abusive or toxic ppl. . Fun fact: that's a symptom of living with narcissistic people.

Truly no way to better explain it, with ep 8 coming on the way we can see. And Cyn is like a yandere to N, like it quite obvious not mention in ep 1. He has been litterlly stated to be "Loveable Idiot" quite the foreshadow of the entirely of the fandom that thinks of N to be honest. Michael Kovach does state he think he will do N forever, showing just how popular he is in the entire Glitch Channel. And yes, robo-harem is exactly something N will do without knowing it.

I gotta say, when i first saw the pilot my expectations did not have the highest regard. I at first though Uzi was a bad character and N was just a filter for her angstiest. Than after watching the second episode I realized I was way off and I thought N and Uzi were amazing. it was only until episode 4 was the point to where I loved N like everyone else.
My favorite character you ask ? The fricking jurassic punk raptor in the last episode
I like our Main 3 but I really appreciated that one bot that was constantly on her phone updating V (I think) AS THINGS HAPPENED. And the teacher who was. 10000% done with everything...even when the planet exploded

Following up on the part where we don't get to see much of how smart he truly is, I believe it's all building up to episode 8. Now that N is alone, he is free to explore, investigate, and fight at his own pace. I am very certain that he will use his intelligence to his advantage in episode 8 because he has nothing left to follow for the time being. Overall though, episode 8 will bring out the best in everyone because it's literally the "it's go time" episode in my eyes. Nobody will be playing around.
N it’s so sweet makes me so happy and equally shows that he does care about other “people” and I’m very glad that he actually approve as a character N is one of my favorite characters in murder drones so to me it makes sense why a lot of people love him I just got done finish this series so I don’t know how the fandom acts but N I feel like anybody can like if he’s not your personal favorite he’s still like likable!

As someone who used to really like N during the first few episodes, I kinda fell off of his hype. But like most things, I think it’s the fandom’s infantilization of him that kinda turns me away from him as well as his negligence towards V. This isn’t N’s fault but another reason why I kinda stopped like him is because of a similar issue I have for Marinette. This dude takes up a LOT of screen time that could (and should have) been given to other characters….like V-
Intermission was probably my favorite characterization of him and that isn’t even canon.
Edit: My favorite character is V if it ain’t already obvious.

I love N but the FACT you brought YUGIOH VRAINS into this--I hope you do a video on VRAINS because that show is being SLEPT ON in the yugioh franchise. I'm that major shipper of Yusaku/Ai but Ai's dedication to protecting Yusaku spawns WAVES of craziness--Cyn, take notes of how to treat your favorites. Wait. No. Cyn wanted to keep N around. And Ai wanted to keep Yusaku around...Oh no. The parallels.
I really did love how when the going gets tough, N lashes out immediately to protect. He's been capable of it since the pilot and that's what truly hammers in the Tessa death scene. Dude has murdered before--But this time he's actually doing so to protect what he wants to protect!!

I just wanted to add that N's past actions of murder and genocide are completely forgivable as he was brainwashed into the role of a murder drone after the loss of his past memories as shown in episode 5. (the same thing applies to J aswell)
So yeah N is completely innocent and not at fault for all the past actions he made as a murder done.

N is definitely one of my favorite pokemon villains. dude wasn't even evil, he was just suckered into his parental figure's plan. Hell, the box art legendary thought he was truly worthy of controlling it. N's ideals also never waiver, he still thinks Pokemon should not be forced to battle, it's just his methods of achieving the world he wants us more peaceful.

You referring to N as a Nice Guy initially unsettled me because of the epidemic of "Nice" Guys in media (Joker, Tighten, etc), and I didn't really see the connection. But I think I can kinda see the connection. Though he's genuinely kind, rather than just nice, I could see the kindness turn to bitterness, hollowness, or just death if he kept getting trampled on. Uzi helps him to stand up for himself, without throwing away his empathy. And unlike the maligned 'Friendzone' N and Uzi starting out AS friends and progressing each other's arcs for the better, helps him from becoming another incel allegory.

He has been litterlly stated to be "Loveable Idiot" quite the foreshadow of the entirely of the fandom that thinks of N to be honest. Michael Kovach does state he think he will do N forever, showing just how popular he is in the entire Glitch Channel.
