She didn’t just claim abuse, she claimed very serious physical and sexual abuse. The type of abuse that MUST be substantiated with some kind of physical evidence. But instead she has everyone from police to makeup artists saying the day of or after her claims there was not a mark on her!

But the fact is and remains that she was not able to convince anyone with all her claimed excessive amount of evidence (quite apart from the quality of a lot of fake evidence). And in the end all that remains is the blame that Johnny Depp is a celebrity. There were so many statements posted from people, who never were JD fans and never heard from Heard before, and all those made their free decision by listening and watching AH to be a liar and an abusive person.
And to invoke 'freedom of speech' with lies is on shaky ground. So ridiculous. Like Amber does on twitter. AH, not only as an american but as a narcissist through and through, won't stop to insist on her 'freedom of speech' to speak out whatever she wants, but you can tell, there is no need to reply to her, so answers from non-supporters are blocked and excluded by her own point of view of 'freedom to speech'. The problem is that women like Amber Heard and Elaine seem to think men can’t be abused. The fact that Elaine says its a setback for women shows that she isn’t considering that men suffer from domestic abuse, emotional and mental abuse, or sexual assault too.
And that’s what the feminism movement should be about. Creating a society where a person’s gender should not dictate whether they’re more likely to be the victim than the aggressor or women still victimizing women. Elaine and Amber are playing on the “this is a setback for women” when really, Johnny’s win is a win for everyone.
It’s a small step that hopefully will lead to more people realizing that just because somebody cries abuse, doesn’t mean that they’re the one being abused. It’s past the time we started holding everybody accountable and not automatically believing the first thing we hear.

    • @davy209
      @davy209 Před rokem

One of the good things that happened after this trial was that many men felt comfortable enough to openly admit that they are or were victims of domestic violence and to be able to talk about their own experiences openly and not feel ashamed of it. It’s also fantastic that so many women, who also survivors of domestic violence, not only came out to support Johnny Depp but also reached out to the men who came out publicly as domestic abuse victims and offered their love and support. Now that is true unity and if the feminists movement was more like this and less about competing against the other genders, then I would call myself a male feminist.

But this woman is not ready to accept the reality.
She is always "I'm always right, everyone who has different opinions is wrong"
      She deserves it.
      She lied about
      - the photos
      - the TMZ paparazzi
      - she slipped in the video about TMZ but still deny
-she lied about 7 million dollars donation and said she 'PLEDGE'
-she lied about having PTSD without the Gold standard necessary procedure, which is called out by Dr Curry but still denies it.
      - she lied by having a wine spilling over a floor in two different occasions with same photos
But still deny even after the experts testify it's an edited photo.
      And so on......
And here her attorney is blatantly lying about UK trial which was never between Depp and Amber
It was between Depp and Sun magazine.

Appreciate CBS for actually asking thoughtful questions. People on the panel have clearly researched or watched the trial, instead of having a predetermined narrative.
I get that anything Elaine says may harm Heard's ability to appeal (but Heard won't actually appeal), but call out some lessons you've learned. Clearly Heard's lawyers were not as well organised or prepared, Heard's lawyers had poor time management (in testimony and closing statements), making objections improperly (speaking-objections), Elaine misrepresenting testimony and evidence to taint the jury, poor expert witnesses (but that happens if you can't fine credible experts that'll testify), Elaine not understanding what a leading question is, Heard's witnesses conflicting with Heard's own testimony, etc, etc, etc.
To share my experience (for transparency):
    > Not a fan of Depp's acting, except a for a few of characters.
    > I entered the VA trial with essentially no knowledge of Depp/Heard relationship except the Depp slamming cabinet door footage.
    > I knew celebrity defamation is an incredibly high standard to prove by the plaintiff.
    > And by the end of the trial, I came to the same verdict as the jury - except I don't think Heard should have won (the 2nd of 3 complaints), I think Heard did not prove that Depp's lawyer (although representing Depp) was speaking on behalf of Depp.

Consider the Following..: 1) When her demands are not met, she goes for a bizarre restraining order, knowing that Johnny was out of town and would be out of the country for several months. 2) She lets the TMZ know that she was going to court for restraining order, and even provides direction what side of her face should be photographed. 3) She and her team also provide the TMZ with the video of Johnny. 4) After receiving the $7,000,000 divorce settlement, she still continues to extort money from Johnny. 5) She asks for three penthouses, the cars, and $50,000 a month. 6) She makes fun of Johnny for even thinking of going to court. 7) She decides "MeToo Movement", her acting skills, and dishonest lawyers like Rotten born and Crazy Elaine will help her to fool the Jury...!!!

Thank you!! Do you know how hard it is to win defamation in a US court!? I've been on both sides of this DV coin. Not proud to say it. But after extensive therapy & anger management, I recognize AH's behavior. I was abused by 1st husband & father of my son. He tried to strangle me to death in front of the baby. His parents ended up with custody of our son. That's some real trauma. After that, I was broken, and ended up recreating the Amber-style abuse with 2nd husband. Chasing him from room to room, thinking fighting was love & intimacy, pestering him, throwing fits...I didn't poop the bed, but I can't say I didn't think of similar things. Thankfully, I got help. Amber won't. She's a full on narcissist, on I wasn't. After having two girls with this man, I just wanted ALL the abuse to stop. But I realized it was ME acting badly this time. Nobody to blame but myself.
This appeal thing is getting out of hand. She lost fair and square. And the judge and judicial system was fair to her side in the extreme. She needs to get over herself and quit while she's ahead.

This was a breakthrough case when it comes to current social politics. Before this it was the popular narrative that we need to “ believe women”, and Amber conveniently wrote her op-Ed in the middle of this because she thought she would be hailed a “hero” and a “brave survivor of abuse”. What she didn’t expect was for normally shy and easy to back-down-to-her Johnny would fight back with evidence. I’m so glad that this phenomena is over, we should “believe women…. Who tell the truth!”. SHE set women back by proving that the world was quick to believe her and hail her as a noble survivor, and when all the evidence was shown it was clear that she fabricated, lied and exaggerated. She has no shame and she deserves every bit of vitriol she’s receiving.

But if “believe woman” means that every allegation of physical and sexual violence being made by women are automatic truths and it justifies a witch hunt against the accused despite not being fully investigated, then of course I don’t support that, I mean why would any person support that?

Exactly. The only one setting us back is a liar taking the stand and further abusing their victim by projecting their actions onto them. I hope he can find peace, now, and I hope she seeks the help she obviously needs.

Honestly, the jury's verdict has vastly restored my faith in humanity. This is not only a win for abuse survivors, but also it presented us this precious hope that the society might actually have a very tangible potential to change. All around the globe to this day, innocents are trialed with these narcissists and sociopaths, who are in the core of our world, ruling, treating people with lies and without a crumb of dignity. During the trial, us, people, who come from all over the world ROARED against this innate violation that we all faced in unity. This is a powerful step from the people towards the collapse of the old paradigm, and my dear brothers and sisters... I'm so here for it!

When 12 people or in this case 7 people from different backgrounds, different upbringing, different life experiences get together they tend to get a verdict correct. Not all the time, but most of the time a jury system tends to get things right

Yes! My dad and I were abused by my mother. We had evidence including hot coffee burns on my skin, later on I called police and CPS on her. I lived in so many homes in high school to keep me safe because there was no resolution from either police nor CPS, and she started getting retribution for me calling the cops on her.

I was really hoping she’d redeem herself after this case by showing she was just doing her job as an attorney, but I am beyond disappointed and disgusted watching this. She’s delusional to continue to believe Amber and thinks there’s no way she made any mistakes, what a fool. I hope she doesn’t get any work after this.

Well, she'll be getting more millions from AH or whoever pays her. She may not find such golden opportunities elsewhere. And she seems to forget that, if it hadn't been for JD, she wouldn't be getting her "15 minutes of fame" herself. Not that I'm a fan of JD's--I'm not, and I know what they say about "powerful men" is often true. But we heard what we heard...

I believe Elaine truly did hate the cameras being in the court. All that PR the Amber was paying for with legacy media and she couldn’t control the fact that Americans were streaming this every single day. In fact those of us who watched the majority of the trial can honestly say that we know why the jury ruled the way they did. And it is not because they were fan Girling for Johnny Depp

    • @egalelage301
      @egalelage301 Před 2 lety

Sorry but this Elaine Bredehoft gives me the impression of a clown.
Her arguments are not even convincing in a talk show. Nobody else can blame her for "trying".
It is a contradiction in terms to proclaim something but not accept it yourself. Well done ! Keep trying ! 😂😂😂
