I started playing GH1 in 2005 and my family got me GH2 for birthday when it was brand new during that time. I still play GH and RB up to this day.
Same I was more of a GH kid didn’t get into Rock band until rock band 4
Same here, got the original Guitar Hero in 2005. I play Clone Hero now using my PS3 Les Paul - it's still going strong.

Loved this vid! I didn't know you had a kiosk GH5 guitar. As far as I can tell, there's only photo evidence of like 6 of those things existing, it's easily the rarest kiosk guitar. Also loved that the Power Gig ROCK IT REAL™ guitar got an inclusion lol

Ayo, that second one you showed off, the electric, that's super similar to the epiphone my grandpa's had for as long as I can remember. He doesn't have the space to store it anymore, so my grandma convinced him to give it to me as a christmas present this year. I don't play but I'm gonna start learning soon. I've been surrounded by musically talented people my whole life so I'm excited to use it once I have time to start lessons once my college classes slow down. Very cool guitar!

Cool collection! I’ve only gotten into the Guitar Hero community a few months ago so I only have two guitars; one acoustic and the black red octane guitar, but I’m still going to Goodwill stores and finding guitars haha.

I can 100% vouch for the 760creations guitars. I'm not as "pro" as Acai here, but I got one because all my guitars seem to have one big downside or another. Not this one. I got it, and IMMEDIATELY set new high scores on every single song I played for a week straight. Things I was already good at, I'd up the speed 10% and STILL beat my old scores. It's a pure JOY to play on. It just feels so good. Worth every penny.
... only small downside is the loudness. The frets are louder than my speakers if I'm playing on my laptop. I can probably dampen it a bit, but I don't want to ruin my investment.
Gh5 guitars are closest to perfect if you hate rubber you can replace it with the plastic of wt

I never really started playing Guitar Hero until the release of GH3. So I did miss out on a lot of the early days. I remember back in high school, there were some dudes in my class talking about a game called Guitar Hero. This was all the way back in like 2006.
I started playing the game in 2008, figuring out the basics, then I quickly moved to medium difficulty. But man, the step from Medium to Hard was a challenge. I remember the learning curve, and many hours of grinding until I could pass a song... not to mention the sore left hand afterwards.
I still have my original Xplorer from way back in the day. It still works really well, and man that thing can do a perfect 2+2 rake.
Yo gabba gabba guitar is far more superior then the one with mechanical frets

I have a GH Aerosmith kiosk Les Paul. Got it when Circuit City went bankrupt. Knew it was a gem back then and never got rid of it! I do regret getting rid of all of my other generic guitars though. I miss my mini collection.

Kinda wish the guitar I got signed by DragonForce were one that supported faceplates, because I basically had to retire my other GH1 SG, lol. Was absolutely sick when he recognized you though. Would be lying if I said I weren't just a little jealous. Crazy collection though...I've basically just had my SGs, and all my post PS2-era guitars have busted on me and I never really replaced them.

For the sticker residue, try acetone. Works like crazy on adhesives
Because of the plastic of the case of the guitar, I'd advise against it, since acetone melts plastics.

I still have my OG GH3 Les Paul that works pretty darn well except for a weird tilt issue with star power, and I gave my GH2 wired x-plorer to my friend so that he could play Clone Hero. I don't ever plan on getting rid of my GH3 guitar until it stops working completely.
I was kinda hoping for the rare section to feature the GH:Arcade guitar since it is rare outside of an arcade setting.
But otherwise great video and please edit that Power Gig playthrough, i really want to see how cursed this game is.

I used to have the Guitar Hero 5 Guitar for the Wii, I now have the World Tour Guitar for the 360, I now have a Les Paul for the Wii, I play Guitar Hero 3 with all the time, it feels nice, and I love that thing, it’s also nice for my fingers

Hey Alec, really weird thing to ask if you remember, but now that I've learned you share state with me: Do you remember that one audio bumper that MPBN used to do where it was just this short little three note lick they did where it was... on basic tuning that you'd learn in a guitar book, it was either third or fifth string, third fret, hammer on to fourth fret, then release? I think, that's what it was anyway, I haven't had a guitar in a while, my former buddy absolutely thrashed my acoustic and I just never bothered to replace it. It was just this simple little one string, three note lick that's lived rent free in my head ever since I heard it, and was ironically one of the first things I learned how to play on guitar, followed almost immediately by accidentally figuring out how to play the opening of Wake Me Up When September Ends.

i'm very interested in getting into CH, been playing other rhythm games and it looks fun. what would be a good starter guitar that wouldn't be top of the line and expensive but still decently reliable?
