What I love about Carrie is that she unabashedly worships our Lord and Savior, God. She isn't singing for us she is singing for Him. She doesn't care what people think, for her her faith is real.

Every time I hear Carrie sing "How Great Thou Art" solo or with Vince Gill always brings me to tears! It is like feeling the Holy Spirit move into your body and soul. I surrender all to my God, Jesus My Lord and Savior, and to listen and follow the Holy Spirit as he guides me on the path that I should be on.
You cry because the Holy Spirit touches your soul, opens your heart to the wonder of our Lord.
This is the power of country music. They thank God and they sing about it. Love this.

I've seen Carrie live more times than I have fingers. I've seen her twice on every tour, seen her at the Opry, and a couple of miscellaneous shows here and there. I've seen her sing country, pop, covers of Guns & Roses... all of which is amazing. But when she taps into gospel... it does something to my soul. Sebs, if you ever have the opportunity, you have to go to one of her shows. They're usually pretty affordable and worth every penny. I hope you and your family had an amazing Easter. ❤
When you have an hour, listen to her performance, "He lives: Live from the Ryman," which is what this is from. She was singing to an empty theater (due to the "the C-bug", which is why everyone on stage was do spread out), but never let that diminish her performance. The first time I watched it, I cried, I got goosebumps, and I cried some more due to the sheer beauty of her voice. Some singers just sing about their faith. She lives it through her voice.

Might be the first time I’ve enjoyed a soulful rendition of “Great Is The Faithfulness”. Of course anytime ppl are singing to praise the Lord is a joyful noise and that’s the part that matters, but as far as musical quality I’ve only ever found that song great as a congregational and specifically in faster tempo. But these ladies were able to work slow, soulful style. Thank you for giving me a new appreciation for that hymn!

awesome worship. This performance was done during Covid lockdown ..so no audience present..shown live but then recorded..so yes, a live audience would have been great. Still, I'm so joyful they did this and I am sure it lifted then many spirits and even now. Praise God for this performance.

I do enjoy Alan Jackson's gospel songs. However, when I listen to him sing gospel songs, I am aware that he is doing them for his mama. You don't necessarily feel like you are worshiping God as much as you do with Carrie.

There's a little church near my mothers home , Pokagon Mi, the Old Rugged Cross was sung 8:41 for the first time by the writer. A small charming little church and gardens. The local church has done a beautiful job restoring it. Worth the hour or so it takes to visit.

If you like Gospel you should listen to Charity Gayle. Carrie is awesome. I made it thru covid with CZcams Music. There was a few that did live shows from there homes to help everyone get thru the though times. I am very grateful for the ones who did that.
