So many comments missing the point of this video, which actually very much applies to the title. Like it or not, this illustrates one of the surest ways an artist or band can navigate the business; the universe owes you nothing. You are not meant to be "famous", and talent will only take you so far. The rest is hard work, persistence, practice, and research, and this video introduces an excellent tool, as well as fundamentally useful concepts, to use in order to do just that.

14 minutes into the video, still waiting on "How does a band get famous?"

  • @theothermilesdoodling6489

Misleading title but the talk was somewhat interesting. His story about how he got to launch his idea and find success was great!

This is a great talk so far. But the best part is when he says “Cobra Starships”

Title is utterly misleading. There is nothing about music, only business and data analytics

So....they just counted clicks and modeled momentum indicators and oscillators to the data? This doesn't answer the question that primes this video. It should be called "How To Data Mine The Music Industry In The Social Media Age".
Oh....he's advertising his product. That's all.
